According to Vivziepop, this is the established hierarchy in Hell.

According to Vivziepop, this is the established hierarchy in Hell. That said, as an average Sinner, which imp, hellborn or hellhound character would anon most like to dominate that isn't under the protection of a higher-ranked demon?

How the hell are sinners higher on the food chain than hellborn, imps, and hellhounds? Doesn’t that go against the entire point of hell?

It's because sinners are effectively immortal. They only thing that can permanently "kill" a sinner is angelic power/weaponry.

Yeah I get that but you’d still think sinners should be at the bottom being tortured for all eternity, I can’t really see why they would be able to call the shots on anything

Lucifer didn't give a shit about sinners at all so the only torture they get is from each other, he lets them fight among themselves instead of bothering to set up a torture them system.

Sinners were mortal, humans born from Adam and Eve. They are automatically above Hell's natural born. That is just how it works.

Sinners are human souls with "free will" made in the image of god, unlike hellborn which are not human souls. The Image of god is of course debatable because the big G has only been mentioned like once in a passing quote. But Alastor does remind Adam of what a mortal soul is capable of. So just the fact that they are mortal souls makes sinners incredibly powerful. Hellborn are just the denizens of hell, yes they serve the 7 sins etc. But they're just that, hellborn, We see that hellborn can be killed with non angelic weapons in helluva boss. Notice how there's specific mention that the higher levels / tiers like Ars Goetia and the sins themselves can only be killed by angelic weaponry. So anything higher than a Sinner is effectively immortal unless you use angelic weapons. Hell as a place of torture "for all eternity" is merely IRL Christcuck headcanoning and in no way reflects Viv-verse purpose for hell. In fact hell is just a place where Lilith and Lucifer were cast down when they "rebelled" against heaven's rules. This hell has nothing to do with Christcucks interpretation of what hell is, and even in Judaism there is no hell only the Sheol which is a completely different thing.

To sin is a choice. Hellborn, imps, and hellhounds are in hell because of no cause of their own. They are as good or as evil as their environment allows, which isn't much but Moxxie is proof that being evil isn't the default state of being born in hell.

To be a sinner in hell you have to WORK for it. You have to be more depraved than the others to end up in hell which already puts you a cut above..

Lucifer called Hell his home, not prison. It's not a torture, it's just a less pleasing afterlife.

Pretty sure they're just other various species of hell that don't fall under the imp or hellhound category

He's on multiple layers, though the top one takes precidence. Think like European royalty. Most kings weren't just kings, they had claims to smaller things as well, duke of york, lord of clamshire, etc. These titles would be included when giving their full title, but the most prestigious is the one first and foremost.

Why is Charlie advocating for the sinners instead of the beings who were born in Hell, anyway? Since Hell's native denizens are at the bottom of the pecking order, it looks like they could use more support. Aren't they Charlie's own people more than the sinners are? Besides, the sinners earned a place in Hell by doing bad things when they were alive, while the hellborn ones never got to make that choice.

Presumably, the way the system works is that only human souls have the option of going to either heaven or hell and the a hellborn going to heaven isn't even an option. From what we've seen Charlie is nice to the hellborn but that is because she is a good person, not because she believes redemption is an option.

The seven deadly sins as concepts of morality are listed in the Bible. The demons representing them and the realms they rule over are fictional.

The 7 deadly sins were invented a few hundred years after the death of christ, and the exact list of 7 we all know werent formally accepted until the medieval ages
The orthodox church actually recognizes 8

They were invented to create an easy guide for laypeople to recognize sins
But it was so catchy that study of them began to be taken seriously

i wonder how vivzi feels knowing that she can only write part of her lore for one show and part of it for the other
if she includes a deadly sin in hazbin it can't show up in helluva and visa versa. must suck.

Have the Seven even been mentioned in Hazbin proper? I don't think they're canon in it.

Everything between Hazbin and Helluva is meant to be canon, its the same Hell with the same Sins.
its just due to rights and such they can't really make crossovers or anything.

Stolas is less important than the 7 deadly sins? Why are people always trying to kill him, then? Are the sins just so strong that no one would even try?

Friendly reminder that any normal human is above even the king of Hell because they have the grace of God and spirit of Jesus
