>saw that a few years ago >he's literally me

Sorry I mistook you for someone else. You would not understand.
>Watching this now. It's why I made the thread. He's such an autist.
He is everyone who works with tech like that is, that was the IT of the era, cameras, audio, wireless and transistor electronics
What are they supposed to act in? Movies today are either corporate slop aimed at moronic normie manchildren and shitskins OR generic art house garbage about rich people in rooms having mental breakdowns. Why the frick would they drag themselves onto sets of some movie they'd never even want to watch just to tarnish their legacy for a paycheque they don't need. Nicholson makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year just from Joker royalties alone. They can walk into any restaurant or high class club and eat free while getting their ass kissed.
The whole point of becoming rich and famous is NOT having to be a fricking wagie your whole life dragging your geriatric out of bed to do 12 hours of work on some bullshit.
For some reason I picture Gene Hackman as being ridiculously angry all the time.
Like a modern day version of Mickey Rooney. Somebody says hi how are you doing and he's just like WHO GIVES A SHIT ABOUT ANYTHING SHUT THE FRICK UP AND LET ME DIE WHY AM I EVEN HERE???
the network is the only one ive seen that didnt live up to the hype. felt like the writer was sucking himself off outside of duvall scenes. generally the acting, pacing, direction and action is minimum 5/10 in that era.
I used to be more bothered by actor retirements than I am now
The fact is that actors delivering great performances in their final years is rare, most of them just become pathetic paycheck chasers who descend into self parody as their appearance and ability disintegrates
I now respect the guys like Hackman and Nicholson who consciously call it quits, if not at the top, then at least while they still have a shred of credibility
hell be fine
this is why you are supposed to turn your Genes inside out before you put them in the dryer.
>This one hurts. One of the greats.
he is
need to watch Unforgiven again. That movie is Grade A KINO
>need to watch Unforgiven again. That movie is Grade A KINO
One of the finest movies about killing ever made
Another great piece of work from Gene hackman is the conversation
saw that a few years ago
he's literally me

He was also kino in the quick and the dead
what the frick is the point of living that long? It must hurt for him to walk.
>It must hurt for him to walk.
He's a farmer now. He walks just fine
He retired too early

Paul Thomas Anderson
Quentin Tarantino
Jonathan Glazer
Martin Scorsese
Him and jack nicholson are too old now.
Bruce Dern still acts in Tarantino kinos. What's their excuse?
They are busy fricking Laura Dern. What is Bruce Dern's excuse?
They also wheel out dick van dyke every once in a while. And Betty white and she was a few days away from being 100
Dick van Dyke has harnessed the power of being a kid at heart into some sort of dark immortality ritual
he always looks like he's having a good time
>harnessed the power of being a kid at heart
i feel like thats how Featureman does it too
Betty white was funny though and made being old her act for like 50 years
Bruce Dern plays the old, senile guy in his movies. Gene and Jack ain't even reading the script for this parts.
bruce played an excellent cadaver in Hollywood

100% agree. He deserved so many Oscars. The Firm, for example.
Also correct. He's known for being serious and anti-social and temperamental on set.
This is true. His on set tantrums are well reported. Great actor though
Gene Hackman General if nobody wants to contribute.
French connection was peak "whites saying Black person" and beating up blacks kino
>whites saying Black person
I don't remember exactly. But him and his partner busted up a bunch of blacks more than a few times and called them coon and shit
It's a joke about Disney removing the scene where he says Black person
Oh I didn't even know that happened
French connection is so goddamn overrated
Black person
70s movies are boring in general.
the network is the only one ive seen that didnt live up to the hype. felt like the writer was sucking himself off outside of duvall scenes. generally the acting, pacing, direction and action is minimum 5/10 in that era.
whereas you're perfectly rated as without taste
I know! Not enough DEI or CGI
>Actors you remember but don't act anymore
I rarely look them up. I like to pretend they're still alive and living peacefully and not dead or in jail.
>literally a hack man
>great
Mel Brooks is 97 goddamn years old, almost 98
It’s the baby blood
Dick Van Dyke
Sean Connery
He’s dead corn pop
I used to be more bothered by actor retirements than I am now

What are you trying to say?
>2012
>preceded by The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 2003
What did they do to convince him to voice that? Especially after he quit from League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
"The first ever film entirely written, produced and animated in Scotland"
Really tickled his nationalist bone
Is it any good
>Is it any good
frick no, it's unironically one of the worst movies ever
>93
>still acting
>93
>still directing kino
me hehe:D
At one point it was like he was everywhere. Not sure if he's still alive, though.
cristopher lloyd
He isn't retired.
Yeah, I just wanted to bump the thread. My real answer is Nancy Allen, I guess.
