Yao Guai are in Fallout 3 and at least one DLC of New Vegas.
The monster that attacked the israelite BoS member was an irradiated bear
Yes, a Yao Guai.
What do you think a Yao Guai is?
how would he know, he's only repeating complaints he saw from other people
Holy shit you are stupid, I watched two episodes of this dreck and saw Radroaches, Brahmin, Assaulttrons, and wind Brahmin besides the Yao Guai
>Assaulttrons
Neato what episode?
episode 2 I think, Lucy walks up on a half-buried one in the sand
the first episode
There was an assaulttron husk in the sand I think just after Lucy left the vault. In terms of functioning robots it was just the Mr. Handy.
>avg zoomer intelligence
>40 iq
These people wanna use chinese words and pretend they haven't ruined the franchise
very nice
moron alert
>INT -1
your video game literacy is poor
The point is it's just a bear which is boring, and the wasteland is supposed to be swarming with monstrous beasts, it's supposed to be a hellish dangerous place but the show portrays it as a relatively peaceful desert and forest.
>Yao Guai
more like Yuor Gai lmfaooooo
It's only been one seaso. Why show everything it once when you can milk the goy cattle?
I have no idea how they managed to go the whole show without showing more than one working robot.
No protectrons, no sentry bots, just a Mr Handy that they swapped the VA on for some reason, and half a dead assaultron.
But yeah, the lack of monsters was insane. One Yaoi Guai, one gulper, a few roaches.
I figured they'd at least show a mole rat getting blown apart, or maybe some kind of mutated desert lizard.
Also laser weapons. You get to see one. Never fired, you get to look at it for about 2 seconds though.
Try not to think about how the Brotherhood is one of the main factions in the game, no lasers. Go away.
There’s a protectron at the vault Tec headquarters scenes and a Brain in a jar robot too. Did you even watch the show? Or did you get filtered by the first episode?
>There’s a protectron at the vault Tec headquarters scenes
Are you sure? My eyes started glazing over for the second half of the show, but I'm pretty sure that's not true, and I can't find any screengrabs to prove myself wrong.
I guess the brain roomba counts as a robot, but god does that set the standards to the floor.
yeah it's absolutely true, pre-war scene where coop drives deborah to the vault-tec office there's a protectron sweeping out front
>just a Mr Handy that they swapped the VA on for some reason
I don't know maybe Stephen Russel was busy at the time, he was in two major games that came out last year. Matt Berry was about the most perfect recast possible though so no point complaining about it
Stephen Russel never voiced the Mr. Handies in the west coast games to begin with.
there's the mr. handy at the birthday party and another at the observatory
deathclaws were cut from season 1 because they weren't happy with how it looked yet and set it up for season 2.
there's a hint of a supermutant at the enclave, and here's a hint; they didn't have a recurring side character have thaddius regrow his foot and run off into the wasteland for shits and giggles
what we need are radscorps and geckos
>one gulper
kek idk what a gulper even is and I played all games except 1
I like how it has 8 million fingers in it's mouth
>He didn't play the best DLC
grim
>I have no idea how they managed to go the whole show without showing more than one working robot.
Expensive, only 8 episodes, not wanting to compromise quality with cheap memberberries
Season 2 should have securitrons, either showing them destroyed or having a few working or even New Vegas absolutely controlled with them being left by the courier who happened to be in his merry travels leaving Yes Man in charge
>that they swapped the VA on for some reason
probably because they show the actor who licensed his voice for Mr Handy in the flashbacks
I kinda like that they limited the scope. It leaves a lot of places to go from here. If this thing gets season 4 were gonna be fricking with aliens an shit.
>radroaches everywhere.
>dead Super mutant at Enclave Laboratory.
>two headed Brahman.
>ghouls / feral Ghouls
>deathclaw skull
>Yao Guai
> New axolotl mutant thing
>tons of robots
>Tons of robots
There's two, the robo brain of Bud and the Mr Gutsy in the Super Duper Mart, which other was there?
There was an assaultron shown in like episode 2, and a brief Mr. Handy appearance during the pre-bomb birthday party.
In addition to what others have posted, there's also an assaultron buried in the sand in episode 2 and a Mr Handy seen on the movie set in episode 3, from what I noticed
Thank heavens they had the self restraint to not include all of that.
This. It would have been easy to blow their load and use up everything in season 1 show horning it in.
Their restraint means she still have several iconic creatures to look forward to like Deathclaws, Super Mutants, Rad Scorpions, RoboBrains, Fire Ants, Mirelurks, Cazadores...
Good on the show for not just cramming everything in one season. Holding off will make it mean more.
Exactly what I was thinking. I was impressed that the show managed to keep the fan service to reasonable levels. I was waiting for the big fight with the deathclaw which never happened. The script isn't perfect, (the vault 4 intrigue stuff is almost entirely pointless and shouldn't have gone down the way it did if the supposedly reasonable dwellers just gave a reasonable explanation. The Trap was the weakest ep because of how much time it wasted on this fake mystery and how unsatisfactory the payoff felt. I'm sure there are a few other problems I would notice on rewatch. Goddamn long tangent.) but they don't feel the need to shove random shit in just for the sake of fan service.
Vault 4 was key for character development, for the first time in his life Maximus felt safe and welcomed. He was going to steal the Fusion Core continuing his mission when he realized there was an offer of a hot shower and not only that he got caviar, pop corn and a proper toilet, ending with him putting his own well being aside to "rescue" Lucy and then resigning his T-60 to help strangers, listening to Lucy's reasoning about leaving Vault 4 to perish if they left with the Fusion Core (gaining karma :D)
Lucy on the other hand realized Vault life isn't idealistic and there are dark things about them that she was never aware of, the question about what experiment they did in her Vault cut deep, she refused to believe it was true until she reached her father and knew Moldaver was telling the truth, killing her ghoulified mother and joining Howard in the quest to capture her father to get revenge (losing karma D:)
This was "forseen" by the Enclave Doc who talked to her saying surface life will change her, which ofc it did.
this. america is fricking huge but they just use the same 5 monsters over and over
Adding Super Mutants before you even know where you are and who you're dealing with story wise would have been an absolute failure to launch.
>no aliens
Why did they ruin the lore and have the vaults be connected?
It's only 3 vaults.
Seriously? Thank god.
Yes, in the show only 31, 32 and 33 are connected to each other. A lot of complaints about this show are just fronmorons that either didn't watch it or barely watched it.
You're making a disingenuous argument to try and make detractors of the show sound like whiny morons by pretending to be an idiot.
Why not? Seems like a nice variation to introduce.
This
Use a real argument like
>How come Hank didn't know what happened in Vault 32?
>Why didn't anyone find it suspicious that all the 32ers were complete strangers at the Tri Annual meeting?
or
>how the frick did none of their pip boy geiger counters go off in the first place
the suits block the radiation.
>the suits block the radiation.
they are very mildly radiation resistant
this is one of the "good vaults" so I think we can assume the suits are better.
Lucy gets radiation sickness because she was dunked in radioactive water and of course drinks radioactive water.
>this is one of the "good vaults" so I think we can assume the suits are better.
even the lead-lined vault suits from games are much, much worse than even damaged hazmat suit
ok. but these raiders aren't going to be extremely radioactive, otherwise they'd be dead.
It's only those 3 because it was another experiment, we don't know what all the vaults that were built did
The Vaults being connected had to be implemented to make the whole"we are unfreezing managers to add to the Vault populations while excusing it as mixing the Vault populations to avoid inbreeding" thing to work.
I think it's also just a good vault experiment even without the vault 31 cryo bullshit.
A triangle of vaults is a gold mine for experiments. Steep one in pacifism, one in militarism, and one in corporatism, and then cycle a few members each year to be the new overseer. Suddenly War Vault has a hippie overseer, the Hippie vault has a CEO, and the Corporate vault wants to use all the money to save the mole rats.
One of the few good things about this show is that the Vaults seem to be a lot more intelligently designed and more pleasant and sensible to live in.
What are you talking about. Plenty of vaults in the games are more pleasant than Vault 4's literal freak show.
idk vault 87 is probably worse than that
I like how it BLATENTLY mocks the idea of "we should just let the scientists be leaders" idiocy of leftist.
Vault 4 was one of the worst vaults and its experiment lasted an incredibly short time.
The Gary vault in New Vegas was legitimately unsettling. The mutated plant vault was also nuts. The journals/diaries from those sections were dark as frick.
Most Vaults are control variables. The worst part of fallout is how they've turned the experimental vaults from immoral social experiments to wackadoo le quirky schticks.
you want them to show everything in 1 season?
maybe they'll make deathclaws rare again
>only monster you show is from fallout 76
gulpers are in fallout 4 far harbor, I actually liked that DLC
honestly my only major gripe thats not lore related is the brotherhood knights being blinded by darkness in the 10th episode, night time combat suit put them in advantage, not disadvantage
>suit
should*
They showed more than one monster and the one you're referring to is from 3, not 76.
>put all of the things into the adaptation
>people complain it's forced references
>don't pull all of the things into the adaptation
>people complain they don't care about the source material
shut the frick up
>won't write anything because afraid of complaints
Wow is literally me writing this show?
You shut the frick up, moron.
You don't get to choose to adapt something to a new medium then get all hufffy and homosexual that people have their own ideas on how it should be done.
Only people who have good original ideas have that kind of privilege.
Now bend over and spread your cheeks to appease as many people as possible like your daddy made you do, homosexual.
am i really supposed to believe vault tech is going to start a global nuclear war just to make sure that they monopolize society hundreds of years into the future? who wrote this shit? frick todd
Fallout 1 & 2 were made pre-bethesda purchase, dude. Can't blame Todd for that one.
none of the fallout games ever confirmed who dropped the first nuke. only thing we know is that it wasn't the US. this series confirms that it was vault-tech, which will never sit right with me
Vault tech us part of the Enclave
If anything it just confirms it wasn't China
I'm not sure how much you can distinguish between the US government and the Enclave.
It was never explicitly stated that vault-tec dropped them first in the games, only that they had plans to and were going to act on them. The TV show actually does the same, and the only confirmed nuke that vault-tec dropped in the show was on shady sands. Remember, the meeting was to get investors and give them a plan and secure more funding, not an actual "We're dropping the bombs now, here's me explicitly pushing the nuke button to start the armageddon."
only stated that vault-tec had a plan. Its never stated if they executed it. Stop parroting this moronic narrative.
industrial magnates in the early twentieth century had a very well-known habit of having grandiose visions of utopian societies that pretty much boiled down to them having authoritarian control over minute details of their employee's lives. check out the origins of epcot. it was supposed to be Walt Disney's utopian city and got watered down by reality and his death into an amusement park.
it's actually not that unbelievable given the past.
Another idiot that repeats things instead of actually watching the show. They didn't start a war. They bombed their own country to clean society, and the vaults must do experiments to find a way to create a better society. The ghoul's wife even says how she just wants a "better world" for her daughter to grow up in with no wars.
>They didn't start a war, they just initiated total global nuclear armageddon.
Still never confirmed that they launched the nukes first, just corpos agreeing they could profit off of it.
As far as anyone is concerned, China still launched the nukes first.
Sure but the guy I responded to said "they didn't want to start a war, they just wanted to drop atomic bombs". Which is just astronomically moronic.
>They didn't start a war
>They bombed their own country
Are you being stupid on purpose? I can't tell. In case you aren't doing it on purpose and are just stupid, nuking the US will lead to global nuclear war based on their current contingency plans.
>The ghoul's wife even says how she just wants a "better world" for her daughter to grow up in with no wars.
I guess you missed the part where they also said that there were peace talks in progress and it was doing well enough that it was affecting their Vault sales. Peace usually means no war.
It seems almost too far fetched to be believable. I can get behind experimenting on the remaining populace because why not, you already have them locked in vaults at this point and it could serve a purpose. Starting a planet-wide extinction event, killing billions of not only your own countrymen, but also the global populace just to do so seems ridiculous. I could believe it if it were just one crazy guy but an entire organization of thousands of people all agreeing to launch nukes so they can rule over the remains seems like too much.
>It seems almost too far fetched to be believable. The whole planet was evil. FEV development was basically the most evil thing that ever happened in the Fallout universe. Enclave wants to wipe the planet clean a second time.
That was evil but it made sense within the setting. The world had gone to shit and the Enclave wanted to repopulate without mutants around. Here they are literally killing the world without anyone forcing their hand. At least the Enclave waited for the end of the world before carrying out history's greatest genocide.
Enclave is essentially Vault-Tec's boss, so no
Not even the Enclave wanted Vault-Tec to actually nuke. They probably saw it as corporate overreach.
>the world will be much better after we nuke it all
>corpos so corpo evil they nuke the entire planet for more money despite not having anything to do with that money
It's fricking moronic. Frick you.
not going to lie that's pretty fricking in character for Vault Tech
i always liked the theory that vault-tec triggered the nuclear exchange somehow. and the show never directly states they dropped any nukes.
i could see vault-tec infiltrating the US government and causing the US to launch the first bomb, resulting in MAD.
however the show's depiction of vault-tec (especially bud) was a little over-the-top, but i guess that's in fallout's nature. i doubt many of the other megacorps at the time would've actually agreed to nuclear annihilation; israelites love money above all else.
bombs drop on the same day they were having peace talks
the peace talks fall through because a chinese spy revealed information about the shadow government/big corpo plans and operations
>i always liked the theory that vault-tec triggered the nuclear exchange somehow.
the games always kinda give impression that vault-tec got caught off guard, they have piles and piles of infrastructure with no personnel in position to operate
you really think that the people that made that shit even bothered to play the games
at best they watched one or two playgrounds of fallout 4
every movie or series like this always employs at least one subject matter autist to consult and add memberberry easter eggs
It's funny because OP is specifically crying that they DIDN'T make it like the soulless REMEMBER SUPERMUTANTS? REMEMBER RADSCORPIONS? REMEMBER DEATHCLAWS? shit that 3 and 4 were.
The only thing I'm fully displeased with is the sidelining of the NCR. Should be the primary player, even in a weakened state.
Would prefer if this took place between 1 and 2 or somewhere else
All vault dwellers get the rope
>slather entire thing with disney+ looking ass camerawork
>make protagonist bubbly easily self-insertable character
>adapt fallout
>no gore
You didnt watch lol a dude gets his lower leg shot off and they show the gibblets.
In my opinion there's to much gore. The violence in this show feels very unearned. In the very first episode they are having slow-mo badly staged fights with huge bloodsprays over the most contrived Trojan Horse kidnapping. There's a thousand ways they could have kidnapped one man or even just traded people but instead they went with ooga booga and got everyone on both sides killed for no reason.
I liked it but I also pick the bloody mess perk and the gunfight in fily looked like a bunch of vats kills
Fallout always had outrageous gore
could shoot a 10mm at someone and they could lose their head, an arm, and half their chest.
the slowmo violence is entirely homage to the original late 90s nerdy video game gore
Your game shit is only interesting for children
>give me more memberberries
How are you actually complaining about this, of all things?
>don’t have super mutants
You say this like it's a bad thing. Not every Fallout thing needs these roided-out morons to be Fallout
Why blow your entire load on season 1?
Also we had
>Radroaches
From every game
>Gulper
From 4
>Yao Guai
From 3
There was no monster in the show that was only in 76.
Also Tim Cain loved the show. So, anyone nitpicking it is actually a confirmed autistic sperg who should be ignored since the creator of the franchise says the people crying and whining don't know what they are talking about and are just homosexuals looking to hate shit.
I'm more interested in hearing Avellone and Sawyer's opinions. Cain's all right, but he hasn't really had his pulse on the story the same way those guys do.
>Avellone
He's a whiny jealous moron who hates Todd Howard so he'll never admit the show is brilliant
Sawyer hates fun
>From every game
Really? When are those referenced in 1 and 2?
Radroaches are literally the first enemies you encounter in the first game the second you step outside the vault. I'd ask if you ever played the original games, but the answer is already obvious.
> Radroaches are literally the first enemies you encounter in the first game
The first game is Fallout, anon. The clue is the lack of number in the title.
its radscorps
>checked
>it’s from Fallout 4
Ugh. I feel grubby now. In any case: the first enemy in 1 were rats
>Also Tim Cain loved the show.
appeal to authority fallacy also he literally isnt the "creator" of fallout you shit eating moron
>also he literally isnt the "creator" of fallout you shit eating moron
he literally is, he started working on the game after work hours because the higher ups didn't want to greenlight it, he would go around and ask people to work on it with him for free pizza. you are lying.
there was a deathclaw skull at the end
they will be in s2. verdict's in, OP moronic
>no deathclaws
see picrel:
>no supermutants
I'm pretty sure the meds that the homosexual aspirant twink kid bought off the crackhead turned him into a supermutant, not a ghout like everyone thinks.
the funny part is there actually was a supermutant on a gurney in the enclave scene
op moronic
>bethesda is going to infest the west coast with supermutants again
I hate Todd Howard so fricking much.
They are going to force Frank Horrigan II, aren't they?
So warcraft movie was a failure because they cut 40 minutes of intentional and thought out exposition and character development.
This one felt like they tried very hard to make it longer, like elevelator scenes having the very long shot of going it and the next shot being a very long shot of the doors slowly opening and them walking all the way towards the place where they are going to talk.
The warcraft movie probably had decent writing and intentions, this one has dog shit writing and very evil intentions, you can only appreciate it for accidents, some visual scenes and that's about it.
Thought experiment: someone should do a cut from the 8 episodes of the Vault story via the midget guy, curious if ends up as a solid movie because that was the only thing that seemed coherent.
the frick are you talking about?
did you kill him?
hello, anybody home? Are you brain-dead?
Wait there's a director's cut of Warcraft? Where did you see those 40 minutes of extra footage?
It's not animated.
>40 minutes of exposition
sounds thrilling
I wish they used shit from 76. It would've fricked way harder if they did instead of using le super iconic basic b***h fallout 4 garbage.
The mutant axolotl WAS a monster from 76, dude. That's exclusively a 76 monster, in fact.
Gulpers are from Far Harbor you fricking moron.
My body is ready for New Vegas kino
another blown-out shithole. Awesome
>Super Mutants
Haven't lived in California since the destruction of the Master's army
>Don't have death claws
California is too populous and developed to have them in any number en masse in the California area except on some fringe area of the frontier
They could always have Michael Dorn voice Marcus again through a holotape. I doubt they'd be able to make an ysupermutant look good even with a combination of practical and cgi effects.
Better show it in season 2 Todd, you pussy b***h coward.
Todd Howard must be spinning in his grave
you guys watch this Black person shit unironically?
No, I watch it ironically.
I'm on at least 10 levels of irony when I watch some bottom of the barrel garbage like batman or star wars.
Guys, I think I recognise these bottle caps!!
The gulper was from F4 DLC
Super mutant appeared as a 2 second cameo in the enclave base
>>don’t have super mutants
>>don’t have deathclaws
This is a good thing
just finished episode one. I like it despite there being far too many Black folk.
they would turn on each other within 24 hours of the apocalypse, and who in their right mind would let one into their shelter?
200 years in a vault and every single person is in an interracial relationship, and society totally wouldn't break down as the average IQ is 85
God i hate these people
could you give an example of an interracial relationship in the movie? (apart from the main characters romance)
>keeps adding more stupid bullshit to the story
>stupid "pre war" gimmicks
All because they can't write an actual proper story, and leftist ideologies can't build a society so its not like they can show building up civilization
fallout series has never been about mankind being successful. Fallout 2 might have had the most positive endings possible but even then less than half the towns are capable of flourishing
would I enjoy this if the only game I've played as New Vegas?
I've also tried the original game numerous times but get bored like 5 mins in
Yes, even if you never played Fallout as a standalone show it's properly built that's why several non gamers enjoyed it and also why when it came out the game got bought in mass
The show clashes with the timeline and world-building from New Vegas but it is still pretty enjoyable on it's own.
>The show clashes with the timeline and world-building from New Vegas
stop parroting the poop from some internet nutsack
the worst crime of the show is moving where Shady Sands was located geographically
It absolutely does and saying it isn't is just poor cope. How can the capital of the ncr fall a decade before the events of new Vegas?
In New Vegas the NCR is a large varied nation that are facing grievous issues like corruption, resource scarcity and political incompetence. Nevertheless by 2281 the bonds between federal states remain strong and it manages to maintain a well-armed army in its core territories, though the vast newly conquered regions are hanging on by a thread.
In the show the NCR seems to consist of a single utopian city. When it is destroyed by a nuke in 2277, west coast civilization seemingly dies with it. It seems to have controlled no territory whatsoever, as its sworn enemies the BoS and unexplored vaults existed just outside the city.
>In the show the NCR seems to consist of a single utopian city.
this is where you're wrong
>When it is destroyed by a nuke in 2277
stop repeating this, it's wrong
>west coast civilization seemingly dies with it
also an assumption that's wrong
Yeah, it somewhat rewards but does not require knowing lore.
it doesn't follow any game canon at all so it doesn't matter. the show is supposed to be set decades after New Vegas, so there's no set canon regarding that either. so far there's been no mention of the NCR at all outside of the capitol being nuked, but the NCR is bigger than just Shady Sands, which is weird.
who gives a frick about some yaoi gay
>a wild Erik Estrada appears
10/10
Fallout and Rings of Power made me believe that we should segregate the autistic from society
this. these two shows are perfectly fine. autistic whiners are hella ruining it for the rest of us for real
I like fallout and think it is really fun, but rings of power? Go frick yourself with a Black person hobbit right in your ass homosexual moron
why didn't the deer have two heads?
Same reason why not all humans are ghouls or have two heads, radiation doesn't mutate everything
Most of the mutants are explained as the result of a virus rather than just the radiation. There are a handful of monsters who existed pre-nuking that are more ambiguous in their origins, probably government bio-experiments.
deers have two heads in the game dumbass
Actually that's clearly the East Coast.
Gulpers were in FO4: Far Harbor.
>no super mutants
good you fricking moron, they shouldn't have even been in the betheslop games but they treat them like generic orc fodder.
i actually liked noticing all the easter eggs in this
like how the code for the cold fusion core was the release date of the original fallout game
The only easter egg I think they missed out on including was not giving Lucy a vault dweller canteen for her water canteen.
https://www.ign.com/articles/111-video-game-details-in-the-fallout-tv-show
not giving your site clicks
sorry, not sorry
yeah bro ign is paying some low level stooge to post links on Cinemaphile
lmao get a fricking grip
still not clicking it :^)
If they show you EVERYTHING you want to see in S1 you might not tune in for S2. You don't get to see all of the cool shit yet at level one. You need to fight some radroaches first, then work your way up to Super Mutants and Deathclaws.
>We need more random references and fan service!
name one reference that was brutally showed in your face
>We need more random references and fan service!
Yes moron, that's exactly what it needs.
>pretty straight female protag
this isn't going to last is it
all roads lead to dykedom with these showrunners
there's already a troony main character. in a paramilitary faction no less. kek
>the troon still looks kinda like a cute woman
>chopped her booba off
wtf
I didn't even realize it was a troony until I noticed the hint of mustache stubble
the voice and abysmal musclature/skinny arms gave it away to me
she has height on her side though
actually are we even talking about the same troon lmao
I'm talking about Maximums' transman friend
Gulpers in the tv series were something different from the gulpers in 76
I just dropped it @ episode 2. The scene with the round glasses scientific talking to that lucy girl.
Acting, dialogue and screenplay is just atrocious and unwatchable.
good riddance now shove your stupid amateur youtube garbage up your asses you fricking amazon shills.
I assume this characters balls never grew in due to radiation? Is this lore accurate? Seems like the perfect recruit to send on a field mission that requires physical strength.
she's a woman moron
>a woman
>the BROTHERHOOD of steel
you are moronic
Yes moron, it's a woman.
>a woman
>in the BROTHERHOOD of steel
no anon, you are ratard
The Brotheehood of Steel has had women in their ranks from day one.
Have you never heard of Veronica or Sarah Lyons?
It very clearly is not suppose to be and you're sexist for seeing it otherwise.
ITS THEY BIGOT
the actor is a transman, no balls to speak of and for some reason she's not taking testosterone (or like ellen page she's absolute shit at using it)
It's a troony. No idea why they felt the need to use a voice changer.
anons please, I can't stand transgays, is this thing in every episode ?
Only a bit at the beginning and end, thankfully
I think I'm interested now.
6 episodes in and I'm still not sure if she's attractive or not. Her face looks so weird though it's slowly growing on me. Still would let her explode my wiener if asked
I want to lick her pits as she steps on my balls.
>666
Don't give into temptation my anons!
>be a fan of something
>it's only liked by autistic and dedicated fans
>try and get people into niche hobby but they don't care
>watered down adaptation made
>it's now the "new hot thing" and people pretend they were always fans
>they'll buy shitty funkopops and change it to their pfp to something from it for a month
>niche thing tries to capture that normalgay hype time and time again
>normalgays continue to not care because there's a new thing to obsess over
>hobby ruined for the foreseeable future
I fricking hate normalgays so much it's unreal
so Maximus has luck at 10 right? the fricker just gets everything with no effort, even a waifu
>Luck
>10
You think someone with 10 luck would be in charge of cleaning toilets?
Yes because he started as surviving a nuclear explosion by hiding inside a fridge
the fact that there's full black characters in vault 33 at all is a hint to the twist. 200 years would have been more than enough time for any black skin tones to have been bred out of the completely confined population. The first few episodes left me thinking about how the two black characters in the vault could possibly be that black still and was I thinking it was an obvious DEI induced plothole until they revealed what was actually going on.
do they have rape and slavery or did they cuck out?
It's Bethesda writing Fallout, what do you think?
Lucy was raped
I'm sensing a lot of Maximum Titus gay fanart incoming
????
she was raped by deception
I though so too at first but turns out she's a massive prostitute and puts no value in sex and emotional intimacy.
You can't really "rape" someone through deception when they see sex the same way as you'd see something more mundane like talking or dancing.
cant rape the willing
>do they have rape and slavery
Lucy worries(hopes?) shes been sold as a sex slave
Sex slavery is mentioned and rape is implied. Honestly shocked they went that far.
are the soviets still alive in fallout?
one of the earlier games has a character whos a grandchild of soviet ambassador to US or something, but they got nuked during the great war
no. Russia and the rest of Europe got BTFO in the "resource wars" that happened prior to the bombs dropping. The main communist power in the Fallout world was China. there are still remnants like the submariners you find in fallout 4.
I don't expect they'll be mentioned in the series due to political reasons though
I liked the show, it has woke shit because it's amazon, but I don't find any character annoying or that they are a token character, I thought both MCs would just power through everything but some fights are pretty fun because they actually get shit on several times, especially maximus
Season 2 or 3. They are in this for the long haul.
Titus should've buck-broke Maximus
made that ass BREATHE
>no cherry bomb in a toilet scene
I wanna see Cazadors frick someone's shit up
why is Maximus so strong with the suit but Titus was a total cuck
Titus was white
THERE ARE NO HORSES IN FALLOUT
there are pre-war horses and we don't exactly know for sure if there are no horses anywhere
My Dad Rapes me when I Sleep
Lucy is like a rose in the desert to these people I'm surprised more aren't trying to get in her pants
Yeah, in reality it would be like the Book of Eli where the raiders are trying to catch and rape Mila, but this is Amazon prime and a big move whimsical and wacky wasteland style.
he should have stayed around for longer, and less walking around in circles with the 3 main characters meeting several times
Maybe the only common criticism I 100% agree with. I was really hype for his presence to balance out the group. I guess he would explain too much though.
Endurance. It's the dumbest way to viably play the game. If you max Endurance and make everyone disastrously unlucky including yourself, your high Endurance keeps you from breaking your own arm while everyone else breaks their own. As long as you don't die, you get to essentially fail forward.
Narratively my most memorable playthroughs was with a Maximus style build. The most OP character builds are always The Ghoul style builds, self-serving (aka evil but not mustache twirling evil) talkative gunslinger stuff that freely uses drugs. I think the writers really did play the OG games a lot and let it influence the styles a lot more than people realize.
What’s a good SPECIAL for survival mode? Gonna finally try it once the update is out and they unbork all the workshop shit and the DLC.
I'm talking about Fallout 1 & 2. I can't comment on games that have DLC, I'm from the year 1987.
Godspeed, oldgay. I hope you never have to be poisoned by how shite modern videogames are.
Lucy is very clearly karmic good, Ghoul is very clearly karmic neutral, and Nigsamus is also clearly going to de-evolve into some ape like primiate African form and be the truly evil character.
>low charisma
>low intelligence
Where did all his SPECIAL points go?
Luck and endurance.
endurance
Maxed out luck and Endurance for sure.
>he doesn't max luck, endurance and run heavy armor and explosives
Legitimately never beat even one of the games did you?
AUTISM
In all honesty, why is now New Vegas considered a troony game?
Bethesda fans got tired of New Vegas fans' elitism and they forced a meme.
Because it's a decent game that was defied into a flawless unmatched experience despite being mildly janky and crashing. Mostly the terminally online sing its praises so people just associated it with trannies for whatever reason
The low-IQ manchildren and cultish mixed-race sycophants who worship the first 3 games are trying to push this troon meme as a reaction to an acute inferiority complex that manifested immediately upon first being exposed to the literal perfection that is New Vegas.
Its mostly just a troll. There isn't much different between NV and F3, just the writing is a little bit better in NV. Also NV has better music.
NV had a very rabid fan base. And the modding community is a bunch of degenerates too.
>Nerds don’t understand how
adaptation works yet again.
You tireless dorks never fail to misunderstand how adapting one medium to another works.
>Hurrr it’s good because it’s exactly the same as the game/comic/manga/book
>Hurrr it’s bad because they changed it.
Understand that adaptation is an artform in its own right and it’s only recently that appeasing nerds became the goal because we live in franchise hell.
>You tireless dorks never fail to misunderstand how adapting one medium to another works.
Stop coping you moron, it's bad. It can't be even called adaption.
It’s “adaptation” not “adaption” you utter spastic and I haven’t even watched this slop. What I’m saying is that the creative process for different media changes from format to format and nerds expecting a television show to be the same as their videogame don’t understand how the process of adaptation works. This was never a problem when books were being adapted to film but for some reason gamer morons can’t handle the changes necessary to make vidya narrative work as a film/series.
It's fine that they're not being super indulgent with major fan-favorite enemies in the first season but I haven't seen a single person complain about the lack of energy weapons
They show up a couple times (BoS grunts in their base with las rifle, NCR remnant leader chick with las pistol) but they never get shot
I think it was just a design choice to minimize the big sci-fi stuff until later for the normies. The sci-fi label can turn away the audience and it already is going hard with fictional magic radiation, vaults, robots, ghouls, stimpacks, power armor, fusion cores, etc.
Better to trickle things in.
If we're being honest, Fallout 1 does the same. You start the game pretty far away from laser weapons and power armor and supermutants.
Imagine Fallout 4 was this clever and you didn’t get a las rifle, power armour and minigun in the first twenty minutes
I never purchased FO4. I've never played, only watched.
Like look; Fallout 1 & 2 were buggy pieces of shit when they were launched. Like in Fallout 2 one of the programmers literally confused the > sign with the < sign and vice versa, which meant every number check was backwards in the scripts of two of the major locations.
They were trash games.
But Bethesda never truly grasped the Fallout tone and environment, and that was obvious with Fallout 3. I had FNV, so I just politely ignored the other Bethesda Fallout games. The show is good though, I would even say that it transcends the source material.
Don't speedrun like your favorite youtuber and you won't
installed fallout 2 just to try out the "get power armor early" guide once, I'm sure the game rules, but I can't into it
>speedrun
It’s literally the obvious progression the first time you play the game. Yeah on replay you’ll avoid Concord in order to roleplay or whatever but the game railroads (lol) you into it
>installed fallout 2 just to try out the "get power armor early" guide once, I'm sure the game rules, but I can't into it
that's the most boring way to play! I know it's open but if you follow the natural progression it's much more fun. If you're struggling, here's a big tip- there's nothing too hard in Klamath you can't slowly stomp through with Sulik, and Flick in The Den has a .44 magnum and a hunting rifle; which will carry you for a long time.
When you don't know WHAT can happen, the best way to play the first time is multiple save files and tagging speech and having solid CHA and INT scores. Also put points into Doctor and Science, just to open yourself up to as many quest options as possible. Take the Empathy perk as soon as you can. While experienced players of FO2 abhor the "waste" of the perk, it'll help guide you to choosing better dialogue choices. Just having good followers and gear will keep you alive in combat situations.
homie. Did you want them to blow their entire load in 8 episodes?
those things are for S2.
>>don’t have super mutants
Good, they are suppose to be a west coast by-product from Mariposa base. F3 and F4 Absolutely ruined super mutants by incorporating them in their game
>>don’t have deathclaws
Also good, they are connected to West Tek R&D and FEV project. They have no business on the East Coast
I honestly think BoS shouldn't be on the East Coast in first place. Bethesda should have just created their ex-military survivor faction with its own identify (The whole knights errant thing) and getting hardware from like VMI.
The show is set on the West Coast, dude. One of the first things Lucy sees when she leaves her vault is Venice Beach.
While you try to convince others morons they hated something they enjoyed, Normies are LOVING IT & ASKING FOR YOU
> Just remember when you put the gun in your mouth you chose this path when so much more other paths existed
ooooooooppppppp
why does Lucy keep getting wet every time she sees Maximus in his BoS armor
Women love a man in uniform. He also saved her life in that armor
BBC WORLD ORDER
Literally just finished it. Credits of the last episode playing as I type this. I liked it.
It was extremely (Bethesda) Fallout.
It would take a lore autist to dislike it, the major storybeats generally adhered to (bethesda) Fallout lore, and Bethesda Fallout is what is recognized and cared about.
>>don’t have super mutants
>>don’t have deathclaws
Good, I'm tired of the yidsney recognition bullshit. Nerd culture needs to die
>don’t have super mutants
there is a dead supermutant under a tarp I think in episode 2
I just want to see a glowing one at some point
My only complaint is that the yaoi guai tanked PA punches easily but then just dies to 2 pistol shots to the head when real life grizzlies can withstand bullets with their skulls.
Crit vs. non-crit rules.
when will Amazon start selling these?
I don't want to tell you where you can get those (soon) because I'll just look like a shill. They're gonna cost $199 and they're essentially just a clock with gizmos
the path drawing is dumb
so was the hacking screen but I think this kind of nitpick defeats the fun
I have one that's basically a phone holder. I wouldn't wear it in public though. Extreme autism.
The app that was paired with it stopped working since 2017 and Bethesda has not bothered to update it neither for FO4 nor F76. I would wear it in public for like a convention or halloween.
they showed this monster guy
It's funny how Coop's nose gets a little fuzzy with the CGI, but they still decided to just do Kyle MacLachlan's whole face like that.
Where did Vault Tec get the money before the war to influence society to the point of nuclear war? Didn’t they just build vaults? Where did the funding come from?
capitalism never changes
>Where did Vault Tec get the money
how this usually works in real life is big corporation is a front for the government
Vault-Tec had government funding, but Vault-Tec also got rich from the fusion core powered economy
>white man bad
>black male white female
the genocide continues.
>white man bad
all the black characters too
>do you want me to use my wiener ?
besthedrones went from being Cinemaphile clowns to Cinemaphile clowns lmao
way to run outta source material/plot points before season 2 even begins, ya dumb frick
Why did Hank go to New Vegas? Is House ending canon?
they character assassinate house so probably not
No father Elijah dead money ending or the dust mod is cannon
What was Bert's vaxx status
Where is he ?
Where is Liberty prime
Where is Caesar
Where is big Mt robots
Where is father Elijah
Where is ulysse
Where is joshua
>show doesn't pander to fans with memberberries in the first season
I'm glad this show didn't blow it's load in the first season
you should appreciate it
(you)
I'm halfway through the second episode and can't even describe how obvious it is that Max is the ultimate karmic evil character.
>Max is the ultimate karmic evil character.
I genuinely don't understand what they were trying to achieve with that character. He constantly flip flops between lovable goofball comic relief and a self-serving evil moron. He ruined every scene he was in.
By golly I sure hope Bethesda finally revisits the West Coast and shows how the new emerging countries like the NCR and Vegas are shaping things now that factions like the Enclave are dead and the Brotherhood are dying out
I have not really watched the show, why did they nuke every location? Is this like the bad ending of Van Buren? Presper won?
A frozen Vault-Tec executive nukes Shady Sands, which has been moved to LA. He does it because apparently Vault-Tec doesn't want any non vault civilization to thrive (even though Shady was founded by vault-dwellers). The rest of the NCR isn't shown or mentioned at all, it comes across like it never even existed. New Vegas is just briefly shown to be a ghost town, we don't know why.
> New Vegas is just briefly shown to be a ghost town
Only evidence of that is based on credit sequences with questionable canon status nor any definite date applied.
They basically reduced the entire setting down to a conspiracy by Vault-Tec, who were behind the resource war by hiding unlimited energy and are now attempting to nuke every big settlement so the pre-war executives can reclaim the entire world when they wake up from cryosleep.
Didn't the whole show take place in California?
(me)
Disregard that I suck wieners
Too busy filming the Interracial sex scene to care about that crap
morons that wanna see super mutants in fallout are like the imaginary morons that want to see balrog in rings of power
fallout is not super mutant, super mutant = window dressing
>tfw you will never know what softshell milelurk tastes like
