>worse movies have come out the past 15 years >people still think this is peak trash cinema
I don’t even like it but frick me these homosexuals need to realize there’s worse shit than Twilight
I think it’s just Stockholm syndrome. They’re too afraid to speak out against legit awful media today so they trash mid entertainment to look cool to their peers.
only reason it's hated is because teenage girls love it. same shit with justin bieber btw. same thing to a lesser extent applies to 50 shades of grey, just a older target audience.
Kernel of truth is I did watch it with my sister as a young zoom zoom. I hated it then because I didn’t understand women nor did I care to. Now that I’ve actually been with one…I can actually sit back and enjoy this movie for what it is. The only people who genuinely hate this movie in 2023 are bitter virgins.
i've been with women and it's still garbage. my ex was a twitard and tried to get me to sit through the second movie. i literally spent the entire time talking and looking at anything but the screen because i had tried when the movie first came out and stopped after 10 minutes due to how awful it was. you're a homosexual, whether you know it now or not.
sorry i wanted to avert my gaze from a steaming pile of shit? i still technically watched the film and can tell you enough of the plot from memory, albeit begrudgingly. it was shit plain and simple. fortunately that was it, we broke up not long after that day of torture. tbh i think i'd rather sit through eragon again, and that was also trash that ironically came out around the same time as the first one, there were a lot of shitty teen movies from 05-12.
I think you you're just associating Twilight with a bitter break up, lad. We've all seen shit films in our life time but none make us act like an autist that can't sit still. Genuinely childlike reaction to a bad movie.
nah, i read and watched the first one back when it came out out of morbid curiosity. knew it was shit then, and like i said earlier in
i wasn't harsh enough

that i actually tried to watch new moon when it first came out back in 2010 and turned it off due to how shit it was.
Not harsh enough apparently. This board is now filled with zoomers who watched Twilight with their sister and now they have nostalgia goggles for it. Fricking bizarre. Check out The vampire Diaries if you want something similar that isn't complete dogshit

I don't hate the movie, it's just really bad. It's that simple. The acting, the writing, everything about it is terrible. But I don't care enough about some female wish fulfillment fantasy flick to "hate it." However if you actually think it's good, you are moronic.
If true then she'll always associate Twilight with losing her virginity.
I fricked a virgin after watching Robots but I doubt anyone really thinks about that film much.
the first book is also the only acceptable one.
I made the mistake of picking it up when that shit was the big thing, and thought "hey that wasn't actually terrible"
halfway through the second book i'm just angry at the sunk cost fallacy that's keeping me reading
they miscast the permanently youthful teen by letting a grown man portray him. there are scenes where carlisle looks younger than edward in the movies and that's just a big no-no
They're permanently trapped at the age they were when they were turned so apparently he has to go to high school to avoid attention of the authorities. Why they didn't just make him legally 18 with a fake ID or something as if anyone would really care, don't know lol.
Lol I remember the carefree days when the biggest pop culture was hating on Twilight and Justin Bieber and talking about the new Lost episode with your friends
Pattinson proved he can act, and I can't fault K. Stew or anyone else for wanting to get paid when they realized they had a meal ticket
That said, the movies themselves are bland, emotional softcore porn for teen girls, and absolutely not worth revisiting
The scenes with the dad and the whole vampire killings plotline had potential. Blue filter rainy small town is also a comfy setting. Twilight could've been kino if it was centered around the police investigation of the killings, with the romance plot sprinkled in for the ladies.
The plot and dialogue are pretty stupid but the setting is very cozy. I rewatched it at Cinemaphile‘s recommendation and while I thought it was so stupid as a teenager I found it very entertaining. Maybe not because it is, but because it reminded me of carefree days of 14 years old, walking to the theater with friends after school on a Friday… 🙁
The ONLY way to watch these movies is with their respective Rifftrax riffs. Then and only then are they truly elevated to something remotely watchable.
Idk, maybe, looking back it was bad, but ultimately harmless, idk if it'd even crack the top 100 bad movies of all time, but even this might be it reminding me of better times, my mom and sisters going to watch this, and me and my brother going to watch other movie, we would go to a discount theater, which doesn't exist anymore.
Twilight was popular in 2008-2009 when I was in 8th-9th grade, originally I read it then watched it only because the girls in my age loved it, but then I came to appreciate it, in all it's shit. The movie is comfy shit. It doesn't hold up well, 10+ years later. But, looking through nostalgia goggles, I can still enjoy laughing at it, and enjoying it's blue, dreary atmosphere, especially with a full bong.
It's shit, but it's comfy shit.
I hated and still hate twishit
Jacob cope
>worse movies have come out the past 15 years

I don’t even like it but frick me these homosexuals need to realize there’s worse shit than Twilight
I view it like the prequels. Technically flawed but still had alot of sovl.
I think it’s just Stockholm syndrome. They’re too afraid to speak out against legit awful media today so they trash mid entertainment to look cool to their peers.

>i'm 17
>how long have you been 17?
>awhile
The script is bad but the atmosphere is kino
this lets not lie to ourselves
although 2nd one wasn't good as the first so didn't bother with the rest
the atmosphere is most certainly not kino
unless you mean the actual atmosphere of washington state, yeah that shit is kickin'
You can't blame Stephanie Meyer for fantasizing about someplace wet, green, and cloudy after living in Utah.
I was too harsh on Patterson because he's one of the best actors we've got these days. Love that guy, kstew fricking sucks though and still does.
i wasn't harsh enough

decode by Paramore made up for it all amazing score
I agree
i was but i only think that now because pat turned out to be so great
>running 500mph without having your jeans catch fire
The writer sucks as physics
>sucks as physics
But as a science major the writer is great
no but i still want to frick kristen stewart and the short haired one
Never hated it.

Vampire Diaries fricking sucks ass as well you moron.
vd is trash bro and i say that as someone who watch it all the way to Silas
>suggesting vampire diaries over the vastly superior true blood
>The Vampire Diaries
I'll never forgive that show for killing off best girl Lexi.
Rent free
Vampire Diaries and True Blood wouldn't exist without Twilight bringing sexy vampires to the mainstream.
>Anne Rice
>I am forgotten…
We're not talm bout vamp kino friend, we're talm bout twilight
I dont know anything about this film other than vampires and teens. Never had an opinion on it during its popularity let alone a harsh one.
Everyone knows that Cinemaphile is team Edward
>Watched the movie when it came out
>It was shit
>Watch it again
>Its worse than I remember
For me it's Esme and her with a baseball hat
I creampied a sexy virgin after watching this movie with her so I will always have a special place for it in my heart and dick.
If true then she'll always associate Twilight with losing her virginity.
I fricked a virgin after watching Robots but I doubt anyone really thinks about that film much.
No, while the first movie is somewhat likeable big-budget indie, the rest of the saga is soulless cash grab trash
the first book is also the only acceptable one.
I made the mistake of picking it up when that shit was the big thing, and thought "hey that wasn't actually terrible"
halfway through the second book i'm just angry at the sunk cost fallacy that's keeping me reading
in the later movies do they clarify why he keeps repeating high school over and over and over instead of getting a job like the doctor
Because he likes girls in their prime

Why not move to a place where it isn't illegal for teens to skip school?
Like anyone would actually even ask a roughly 18 year old 6'0 kid if he were supposed to be in school anyway.
It’s peak blue filter kino.
How rich were the Collins? I'm thinking in the billions.
Well, its still pretty bad, especially because dumb women thought it's some great romance story.
But the atmosphere and visuals are nice.
Lol I remember the carefree days when the biggest pop culture was hating on Twilight and Justin Bieber and talking about the new Lost episode with your friends
>look up when lost ran
>2004-2010
Time keeps on slipping, slipping, slipping into the fuuuuuture
DOO DOO DOODOO
tick tock tick
The world was a better place. And I don’t think it's just because I'm blinded by nostalgia
Internet and politics wasn't in our faces all the time.
It's not. Everything went to shit after LOST ended.
Cinemaphile has always loved Twilight you Black person. Check the archive
Pattinson proved he can act, and I can't fault K. Stew or anyone else for wanting to get paid when they realized they had a meal ticket
That said, the movies themselves are bland, emotional softcore porn for teen girls, and absolutely not worth revisiting
Frick i still love Alice lads
Post her nose
She made the baseball scene worth rewatching
For me it was Esme in the baseball scene
The scenes with the dad and the whole vampire killings plotline had potential. Blue filter rainy small town is also a comfy setting. Twilight could've been kino if it was centered around the police investigation of the killings, with the romance plot sprinkled in for the ladies.
if that's what you want in your vampire kino you're better off watching underworld
hottest on screen couple other than Lestat and Louis right here
Didn't that homosexual go from talking somewhat normal to a civil war general from the south?
Kind of wish they released a live action of the genderbend novel after the main series was done. It's too late now, though
If AI gets good enough, I'd probably make a genderbend film with the same actors. That would be funny af.
No. Criticizing a movie is okay for its' mediocre hyped up fanbase.
Twilight was only hated by jealous middle school boys
Aka me. But late bloomers learn to look back and appreciate what I they couldn't see before.
I thought the first movie was comfy kstew was cute. Didn't watch the rest

I like the genderbent version more

It's shit, but it's comfy shit.
Has there ever been a film that eroticizes abstinence quite like Twilight?
I liked Life and Death.
Don't remember the movie.
Alright I'll read it boys
Do it aloud, on several vocaroos.
With different voices for each character, please.
Oh yeah, that was a thing.
Loved kstew then
Love kstew now
Simple as
This movie makes this board because it has more soul than nearly every movie from this decade so far. It's a 7 or 8/10.
