So first we have AI writing entire episode scripts. Then they can replicate voice actors with enough samples. Soon they'll generate custom episodes and comics described and paid for by the customer. What's so bad about AI again?

>writing
>replicating
>generating
More like ripping off with little difference
>Computer: Give me a Superman comic drawn by Curt Swan (inked by Murphy Anderson) and written by Otto Binder and Jerry Siegel
That's a great example of what Stable Diffusion can do now. All you need are enough examples and ChatGPT to allow custom fed data.
It's within 3 years for an AI comic to work. 5 for CGI animation once it generates 3D models, rigs skeletons, and makes animated cycles from previous data.
with good writing? and I mean GOOD writing
itll be the hardest thing for AI to get right, Im sure it will eventually but it will take some time
>writing
you gotta be kidding right? Chatgpt makes great shitposting material by mimicking the character dialouge exactly like how they would say it. Eventually, training it from scripts of your favorite episodes and giving it the character bible will have it generating an entire season worth of gold content.
The only limits is that it needs more of "your" input to generate episode ideas with a lot of handholding so the story could have twists and character development. You have to be very specific to get what you want for each act of the story.
I dont know... the only thing it helped me with was coming up with some vague concepts, and it was still not that great, it really does help with shit like journalism or academic papers, but I still havent seen a story or a screenplay by an AI that was decent
It makes good fanfiction, but nobody reads those on the internet anymore. Write a synopsis of a cartoon and tell it to write within the show's atmosphere. A few attempts in 2 hours with a few story additions or different scenarios and it's done.
>Chatgpt makes great shitposting material by mimicking the character dialouge exactly like how they would say it
That's a flat out lie. All these "character AIs" are a bunch of bullshit that almost never resemble the character that they're meant to emulate. It's just a bunch of easily fooled retards being entertained by Cleverbot 2.0
Why do you lie? I bet you don't have the inner monologue or the imagination to read a GPT script to voice the character in your head.
You dont have the inner monologue or the imagination to make your own dialogue
Why should I? I admit the AI is smarter than me and remembers all the autistic nitpicks behind character content. And then, it doesn't get tired of making dozens of scenarios until I feel it's good to be published.
>I admit the AI is smarter than me
You can just outright say you're a retard without the need for obfuscation
>uses a search engine
>uses spellcheck
get better bait. Write faster too.
Wow, you genuinely are retarded. I'm surprised you're intelligent enough to breath let alone figure out how to use a keyboard.
It could already do this shit years ago when AI was barely use able.
We're still at the "anything can be anime" phase.
Eh that has some bugs to iron out
kek
It's a bit depressing that there will be such a sea of shit that nobody will even look at something a real person has made. It's gonna change the whole concept of making things. People will probably never watch or read the same thing again but just spam AI generations and then maybe share whatever memes come out of that specific instance. You won't have people talking about the same thing unless it's some blockbuster movie. And it's all gonna be super low quality, like youtube poop and elsa spiderman videos but all the way to adults.
I'm so sad and depressed about this.
High quality stuff is always distinguishable from low quality stuff.
Kek. You have no idea what's coming.
>Doomposter denies the quads of truth
You were never going to make it even without AI.
I did this a few times when discussing modern/contemporary art by drawing random lines on a piece of paper, scanning it, putting a filter on it to make it look aged, and saying it was a picasso. And people would try to say why it was good. On /ic/ a couple times I posted Klimt and Sargent sketches when arguing with people and they'd tell me I was a /beg/ and should learn to draw.
>youtube poop
>low quality
this is gonna take many many decades to actually work, but itll happen soon and itll be terrible, and people will defend it endlessly
poo in loo
>guys AI is going to take over
>posts shit and pretends it's good
AI truly makes me sad, every single adult I know that doesn't study art just eats up content and doesnt really think about it, AI could easily take over the world because 90% of the population doesnt care about what they consume, and thats pretty sad
>AI could easily take over the world because 90% of the population doesnt care about what they consume
It could write better Pixar films, though I do believe they're already using AI for their scripts.
I've been drawing 12 years now. Right now I'm making a fantasy comic, ligne claire and watercolor. It's taking me forever. It's at sea so there's a lot of water in hard sunlight, so I'm often painting caustics and other tricky stuff, and the structure of a ship. I wanted to model the ship in 3D so I could have a stable reference for backgrounds but I'm doing it by hand instead, using digital for layouts, printing it out and inking over it. I'm not in a hurry and I chose to do it the way that pleases me the most, on paper, because I swore I'd never post anything of mine again publicly. The mix of AI swarming every art space and how cold and sterile everything has become on the internet has put me off of it. People just take what you've made that took you time, blood and sweat and just chuck it aside for memes or a pair of badly drawn tits or whatever. I don't see the point.
I'm proud of how it's coming out and sometimes I really wanna share something because I'm excited about it and it's been such a long time since I put this amount of effort into a project, but I always stop myself. I know I'd probably stop being so excited about it if I started putting it out there.
>making fantasy comics
>when twitter fanart and nsfw patreon dominates the audience.
If you're not making art for money or trying to get into the animation industry, I dunno what to tell you. AI will get it out faster, but if you're looking for attention...
>>when twitter fanart and nsfw patreon dominates the audience.
soulless
Thats sad to hear, anon, but dont give up! The act of creation itself, as tough as it is, is a blessing, godspeed! Hope you can post it someday when its finished, I know it seems like people dont care, but you might make someones day, and someone might make yours! Its more about connecting with one person than getting numbers
Fucking kill yourself, shill
Double kill yourself for besmirching the visage of Mata-Nui by association with your soulless tripe
It will make new Bionicle episodes in time, anon. First the comics, then animation, and finally the perfect Bionicle vidya, made by Platinum, story by Square-Enix, rendered in Gamecube graphics.
reminder that when AIags say AI does something really well, you should ignore them because they have no standards and their opinion is worthless
It's depressing. I was hoping these tools would help artists, not provide a way to replace them completely. Our media will become more derivative than it already is.
>tools to help
It's like saying cars are bad because they replaced the horse carriage. AI will need people to function and an audience to give it commands. It can't write episodes on it's own without a single prompt.
Worst case future scenario is that entire fan groups submit a vote to the studio AI to write how a season finale should end, which character should die or live, etc.
Horses and cars are a means to an end, art is the end itself and by automating it you are defeating the entire purpose of human expression.
But the AI was created by humans like all other tools. It cannot express itself.
Yes, that is the problem with AI generated images. Typing in a handful parameters for your image gacha does not count as expression.
It counts as expression when I fed stable diffusion examples of my own artwork and told it to draw custom character ideas in my own style. Then I redrew it based off what it generated. It's my own concept artist, so what's the problem?
>inb4 that's cheating
Like bringing a sword to a gun fight. Soon all artists will use their own personal AI to their liking to help advance their artwork. Or be left behind.
Sounds like a lot of work for a sub-par output instead of actually training yourself to be more creative.
post your actual drawings
Can't. NSFW isn't allowed on a blue board. But I admit I do use it to get pose ideas and get commissions off of it in my Discord. All I have to do is put the "soul" back into it.
ah you're a creatively bankrupt hooker, no wonder you love AI
have fun being outskilled.
Outskilled at what? Sucking cock? Lol
homosexual. You aren't worth shit
>NSFW isn't allowed on a blue board
You can literally link it through catbox or any other host. Or are you going to make another excuse?
And get banned like last time? This isn't 2011 anymore.
there's the excuses
This is nice and all, but you're still getting replaced. I can just steal your art and create my own images. It's already happening now.
>porn is for free. piracy exists
>meanwhile people still pay for patreon and onlyfans
>AI saves coloring and shading time, even fixes tiny errors in between.
>produce twice the output, lock it behind a discord paywall
lel ok
Wish I could into programming so I could combine chat bot, voice ai, and a video generation ai. Then I'd just need to make it be able to understand speech and I'd have my own little AI assistant. Though I have no clue where I'd start with that.
I like consuming what I cook and buying baked bread instead of making it at home. Food analogies, you win.
AIslop is more like low quality additive-laced shit from China if you want to make the real food analogy.
Anytime I try to write anything with AI, I get the most safe, boring, fucking reddit-tier humor bullshit I have ever read
It's almost like that's the only type of person that unironically enjoys this shit. Literal consoomers. I honestly thought the meme was exaggerated, along with the NPC stuff, before I started seeing so many people gush over this crap.
i wish I could be alive for another hundred years. imagine how crazy this AI shit will get. You'll be able to be like "eh, this season of bla bla sucks dick. make me a new one" and then you'll get it the next day
And then it just generates more of what you've already seen.
But the masses enjoy seeing *thing they know* endlessly regurgitated and recycled
So I'll mention that there is AI software for doing shit with 24 long before this shit started happening. It is possible, but you need to make the general structure to the main frames and use frame interpolation for it to be really AI, but it is impossible to make it only with AI since every prompt can make millions of different results.
