What made the first season relatively good is that it was a simple MOTW and the stakes were so high that both the Princess and even the MC could be killed. Of course Inaho would remain alive but even the fricking princess lived which ruined everything.

Did she like the MC? I kinda forget about the story.
But it's neat that in the anime as a princess she's formally trained to handle firearm and is a decent mech pilot herself. Assyleum certainly didn't follow the useless princess archetype so it's a shame that they took her out for the 2nd half of the story.

Inaho should have stayed dead, and the show went back to real robots taking down super robots using teamwork and ingenuity, this time without the blatant plotarmor. Also I guess hime lives, doesn't get tanken back by Slaine, and ends up enlisting in the earth military becoming a pilot or something since they need a Martian royal for their ship to work and they can do something with that one cripple who can transform into hime.

There are 2 mc´s, but the black haired one is the main of the 2 and the other ends up doubling as antagonists. There is a romantic triangle between these 2 and the princess. But anyone with eyes can tell the princess wants Black haired-kun wiener more. What happens is that in the second season they cranck up the drama and at the end when she and the main mc reecounter but she basically "chooses" not him but the blonde one. There probably were non-romantic reasons for this but because of no 3rd season we will never now and for now its cuckshit
