the big corporation part is exactly what I meant. then they got a bit goofy and edgy in the 90s, then (in the fricking prequels ffs) they became sleek and generic looking. every pair of movies that's been released in the series has felt like a different franchise altogether, it's obnoxious.
Aesthetically speaking, it is an underrated kino and not as bad as people say. It feels like a 2 hour 90's music video and I mean that as a compliment. It really nailed the industrial sci-fi look which was big at the time. That being said the script and story are dog shit.
It looks good, it has some good scenes and actors, it's entertaining. But it's not a good follow-up to Aliens, and derailed the series into nonsense for decades after.
