Am I the only one who found it strange how this show and As Told by Ginger who were both made by the same company aired exactly one segment apart from one another?
Why? Why watch one show over the other
As Told pretty much exists to look for that specific demo that would watch a show like that. Why would anyone choose "What if Rugrats but they're not actually in High School." the series
I don't remember that episode. What I remember was there's a boy that likes Lil but Lil doesn't like the boy so Phil dresses up as a girl to look like Lil and starts dating the boy because Phil liked him.
I remember that episode Lil actively breaks them up and then when it affects their soccer match she admits it to them both mid gane and the girlfriend still remains pissed and blames Phil for some reason so they remain broken up and lose the soccer game.
Phil and Lil developing into separate people was a recurring theme in the show.
I think it's a fairly good way to point out to people that such things can happen and needs to be worked out rather than ignored or treated as a sin.
Nobody is saying "frick your sister" as long as you don't go to Cinemaphile, then they will say that and more but "you are teen ager and it's not crazy to feel that kind of thing with somebody, even if you are related".
Though, I suppose it's very conservative America to just pretend certain things don't happen for the sake of peace of mind.
There is no need to say anything because siblings that grow up together dont feel attraction to each other in 99.99% of cases. Its a biological defense mechanism.
I say in those rare rare cases where there is attraction have at it and have fun who cares, as long as they are both adults
Of course I typed that as an inbred europoor and just now remembered incest is actually illegal in most of america
So whatever, figure it out yourselves.
>Dil literally meets Aliens that help him time travel to win at laser tag >Suzie gets scammed out of 1000 dollars for a fake music deal >Chuckie creates a fake foreign exchange student persona to get into some girl's pants >Angelica joins the Debate team to try and get a 20 year old substitute teacher to love her >Dil becomes friends with a ghost at a campsite where the loch ness monster lives >the group joins a dude ranch and stops emu rustlers >Grandpa Lou and Boris help the kids film an alien autopsy >Dil communicates with leeches and fish >Phil dresses up like Lil to help her break up with someone but accidently falls for the boy himself. >Angelica literally threatens a laboring women to get her grade changed higher >Aunt Charlotte takes advantage of Dil to sell a board game >the kids abuse Dil and essentially make him develop accessories they can sell to go see a concert >Phil becomes a pompous Chef and only stops when he learns that chefs need to wash their hands >Dil gets upset with Tommy not paying attention to him so he goes on the Jerry Springer show >Chuckie ends up streaking in school in an attempt to escape showering after gym >Tommy pretends his dad is a Rabbi to try and date some israeli girl >Charlotte and Angelica get lost at sea and manage to get back home by mending their sail with dental floss
What a fricking weird show
>Aunt Charlotte takes advantage of Dil to sell a board game
What's worse is that this was right after Charlotte gets fired, so she's putting all her energy into making his board game a big thing to try and get back on her feet. Then he shuts the whole thing down out of integrity, because it misses the spirit of the game or something. Charlotte then proceeds to not speak for the remainder of the series.
A very not subtle way of saying Tress wanting more money since this show long passed syndication status and her residuals were not worth the travel expense
It's not that they shouldn't have had kids, but... you will now realize that the parents in the original Rugrats show were actually still in their 20s.
You act like Rugrats itself didn't have some weirdness too >Tommy and Chuckie sent a robot gorilla toy back to the crossing of the Delaware >The Tommy alien dream segment that ended with an implied aliens are real ending >Stu creating AI Robot clown toys where one was so smart it escaped being shut down and started back up the other ones to chase after Tommy and Co which required getting up basement stairs taller than them >Chuckie's Wonder Life parody >Santa >The Entire Rugrats movie.
And I'm sure there are other moments I'm forgetting.
Why didn't their parents have any more kids since the end of Rugrats? It's normal for parents to have another kid a few years after their first, but none of them did except Susie's parents, where she was already the youngest of 4 anyway.

All Grown Up was more comedic while As Told By Ginger was more of a slice of life type of show.
weird show.
that ep where phil acts all horny and bizarre cause he saw lil's tiddies.
the 00s were wild.
Phil and Lil developing into separate people was a recurring theme in the show.
Developing into separate people after doing everything together since you're twins is one thing.
Wanting to frick your twin sister because you saw her in a bra one time is weird and incestuous and should not be encouraged in children's shows.
There was also an episode where Lil got jealous that Phil had a girlfriend.
I don't remember that episode. What I remember was there's a boy that likes Lil but Lil doesn't like the boy so Phil dresses up as a girl to look like Lil and starts dating the boy because Phil liked him.
That's a different episode. This one involves LIl trying to break up Phil because he won't play with her anymore.
I remember that episode Lil actively breaks them up and then when it affects their soccer match she admits it to them both mid gane and the girlfriend still remains pissed and blames Phil for some reason so they remain broken up and lose the soccer game.
Lil a shit
bump

I liked seeing Charlotte try to bond with her daughter.

I know, but the idea that this broke her is funnier.
>What a fricking weird show
I mean, coming from Rugrats, a show about parents who shouldn't have had babies sounds pretty tame
It's not that they shouldn't have had kids, but... you will now realize that the parents in the original Rugrats show were actually still in their 20s.
>Angelica literally threatens a laboring women to get her grade changed higher
HA holy shit what a giga stacey
And it was kino

Fair enough. Looking back they did get up to some weird shit like the toys and time travel machine that actually worked
. . . do I need to see this show? This sounds funny.
No it's pretty boring. Also the voices sound like shit.
>Phil dresses up like Lil to help her break up with someone but accidently falls for the boy himself
I only remember this one
Why didn't their parents have any more kids since the end of Rugrats? It's normal for parents to have another kid a few years after their first, but none of them did except Susie's parents, where she was already the youngest of 4 anyway.
Dill was soulless enough
Have you fricking seen what the original Rugrats did? I would have gotten a vasectomy immediately after the events of the first movie.
Dil and Kimi exist, anon. Only Angelica was an only child and it's fitting for her family/character.
Charlotte did unethical business deals and knows where the bodies are buried

>at points
That was the normal theme of the show
As told by Ginger was actually more realistic and calm.
Why didn't they just make the characters adults in the Rugrats reboot and the babies would be their kids?
Would you see them bring this back AGU in an episode of the reboot?
>mogs your tax write off reboot
how do they do it?
?si=4ss0vbamCKt3fHoE
In what way yo?
