>Best boy is dead
But Jaune is still alive. He's dead inside but technically alive
>Best girl is dead as well
>we'll never get pic related
what's even the point anymore
Rosegarden is endgame whenever you like it or not Lancaster forever
Her dad has one last charge to make a new Penny sure he's been forgotten in space but he ain't 100% dead yet.
Remember that time they made penny a human completely missing the point of one of her arcs
I'm too invested now, have to keep watching due to my autism.
Yeah, me too.
Honestly where I'm at. I think the show is awful on about every level, but I've spent years watching it so I'm in too deep. I couldn't live down not being there for the eventual finale
This is bait. There are no good characters in RWBY.
People like the side characters/villains and they want to see them evolve or learn more about them but then they use these characters for the main cast to push them down to raise themselves up and they get character assassinated despite being cool up until that point.
Which is funny, they are basically murdering their cool/good characters to make their main cast more likeable, yet the main cast is the worst.
Examples I think of are:
>Raven
>Ironwood
>Adam
Robyn Hill comes to mind as character to keep around despite being an unlikable c**t. I was hoping she would be a character with balls like a female Punisher, not Bernie Sanders larping as a "revolutionary". Frick she even looks like an upper-class California liberal. I know she is modeled after her actress but that doesn't take away from the character being unlikable from the moment she opened her mouth.
Ironwood I get losing his mind given how an indestructible witch who can tear through armies with a click of the fingers is coming to destroy the city and then the world while he is trying everything in his power to stop her and unsure how many agents of hers are subverting him.
I'll watch whatever comes but I just don't have hope it'll get any better, for me it is funny that Monty Oum would force a small team to animate shit to look cool even if at the cost of other scenes looking like shit, it show there was a direction to syphon resources, now it's all just mediocreoly animated and corners are cut often, every weapon and outfit is grey, the designs are trying way too hard, the world-building went almost nowhere for years, everything related to the Faunus and the white fang, it just keeps going on and on, Monty did cause some of these issues mainly where writing was concerned but it was almost a weird dance around the issue, as soon as he died we got to see Remnant and for whatever reason it was different from what we had seem most of the show and everyone treats it like it's nothing even though they went from a hybridized fairly modern setting to the fricking feudal ages, then they go north and it's super modern (you'd know that if you watched the supplementary material), or how in the anime Weiss is straight up called racist for disliking the Faunus while in the actual show characters tiptoe around the question of racism showing the writers weren't ready to make one of the main 4 into a racist even if it was front and center, especially when we the viewers hardly knew what a faunus was. RWBY always had shit writing but the fact it used to be contained into a small school setting made that into less of a problem, now they're travelling the world after a three(?) mcguffins that are able to do vaporize the main villain.
Forgot to post the image I use to justify writing a block of text
If the show actually had more interesting characters kept around rather than killing them off I would stick with it. Ironwood and Watts were interesting by the former being relatable western sci fi character in power of friendship science fantasy. The latter being a cunning infiltrator who tells Cinder to shove it, like Stan Edgar telling the invulnerable Homelander to stick it up his dickhole.
As bad as volume 8 was, the stuff like Ren spitting faccs and Watts laying down the law on Cinder shows that someone on the writing staff was reading the audience. I just wonder who that was, because they clearly didn't have enough influence on the rest.
>"me and you Watts we are going to take the witch"
>"lmao no"
That's hardly great writing it's just someone realising Cinder did that shit like 4 times now.
I agree we were cheated out of having interesting characters, Ironwood was completely fricked over by being turned into a villain through logical gymnastics and being lied to by the fricking protagonists (who them decide to sit around and do nothing in a mansion while b***hing over the fact nothing is being done) despite the fact that Ironwood did nothing but help them almost every time he shows up, Watts on the other hand is really interesting even in design, it feels like a character that has the design from the early show and I love it.
I still can't get over the fact they didn't even have Yang thank Ironwood for the arm lol.
I hate this show but Red Like Roses rocks
(The song, apparently there's some fanfic by the same name?)
The music is consistently one of the few very good things
While the music does it's job, the show does not emphasize the whole struggle every inch of the way to overcome the odds. The main cast gets so mopey when the find how Salem can't be killed but they do have an afterlife. Wasn't Norse mythology an influence, shouldn't they have a "fight to the last breath to go to Valhalla"? Wouldn't they have been taught some spiritualism to cope with death in this wanna-be dark science fantasy against the limitless dark monsters?
I love hack and slashes, buttrock and crazy anime shit so this show should be right up my alley but I just can't get into it despite really trying (watched 4 volumes)
