All these Star Wars shows have basically been going out of their way to fix people's problems with The Last Jedi. It's pretty funny, watching all the reviewers who stuck their necks out and bent over backwards to defend TLJ now talking about how much they hate the new shows, but the fans are pretty satisfied because this is what we wanted out of Star Wars and they've been delivering it. I think if you're someone who hates both TLJ AND the new shows then you just hate all the Disney stuff on principle and there's nothing that's going to convince you to come back so to you I say whatever. But for the rest of us I think we're pretty satisfied that Disney essentially realized they made a mistake, then fixed it, even at the cost of the critics. Because they realize the critics aren't the one funding future movies, the fans are.
I like Rogue One and Mandalorian, the rest of the movies and shows have been awful
Reminder all nu wars is homosexual shit
>Chode One
The first season of The Mandalorian is the only good thing to come out of Star Wars since Episode III, you pleb homosexual
>since Episode III
Opinion discarded.
S1 Mandalorian is the only good nu wars.
Liking Rogue one is the biggest sign that the viewer is a complete simpleton.
The second half of Rogue One was okay. The first half dragged.
Disliking rogue one is the biggest sign that the viewer is a rlm cuck
Star Wars is 1-6 plus the Genndy Tarkovsky series, and the two jedi outcast games. Anything Disney wars is cancer
Tried watching the Samurai Jack Star Wars cartoon and it sucked ass. Why is it rated so highly? I thought I was too old for cartoons when it came out so I never watched it, is it a nostalgia thing?
>he didn’t watch it between episodes 2 and 3
Ngmi
Good art is timeless and forever.
How did it ‘suck ass’? There was stupid shit like mace dindu karate chopping ten thousand droids, but anakin tapping into the dark side vs ventress, the arc clone troopers, kit Fisto underwater, OG grievous. I genuinely don’t know what’s not to like. It’s cheesy and dumb but it was the bridge between episodes 2 and 3. Kindof a reddit take there, bucko
It just wasn't Star Wars. Star Wars is good because of the drama and story, not because of big robot fights.
>not including republic commando
frick you, that game was kino
>prequels
No.
tlj was trash and Kenobi wasn't much better. the Vader fight was basically a bad copy of the cartoon shit which did it better. are the Jedi like The Gladiator or something now?
Disney Wars can drop a few member berries that are good like Anakin and Kenobi sparring but the rest but it's largely shit. why sift through hours of garbage to dig out member berries when you can save yourself the trouble and watch the best bits on YouTube
>the fans are pretty satisfied because this is what we wanted out of Star Wars and they've been delivering it.
Go back.
This battled ruins the OT on the sense on why the frick does Obi Wan even need to train Luke again?
obi wan can't be the one to beat vader, he wouldn't be able to kill him without the dark side creeping up his rectum
>but the fans are pretty satisfied because this is what we wanted out of Star Wars and they've been delivering it.
They aren't trying to fix movies as much as they are trying to undermine future internet discussions about canon and power levels.
Yeah I think this is truer than the ragetuber spergs want to accept. They aren't doing frick or all to fix the ST. Mando S2 was reinforcing of all things.
To some extent, you're forced to live in the universe that is already here, even if some of it was designed by morons.
>saw original '77 in the theatres in '77
>luv'd TLJ
>luv the shows
simple as lads. hate isn't the way. I'm not here to tell you that you're wrong and that every star wars media is a masterpiece, but none are so bad that you need to go shitpost about it every day
-big baz
Unfunny b8
You Disney shills are worse than democratic operatives.
Even james carville never tried to rewrite history this hard.
No, I hate it because it's bad. It's dumb that Kenobi went on space adventures with Leia. it's dumb that he fought Vader twice between 3-4. it's fricking dumb that he power of love throws 10 million boulders at Vader (any massive force feat is dumb, Yoda lifting the X-wing should have always been the peak. Because the power of the force isn't supposed to be about doing heckin' epic magic tricks that powerscale to shit like this) and it's dumb that he'd even let Vader live again. It's dumb Luke is confronted by a fricking inquisitor when he's a child. This is just the tip of the iceberg of dumb shit from this show.
The prequels are also shit and should have never happened.
you speak the truth
You have earned the power of love
Level up
Disney didn't get rid of the EU, they just made their own with a bigger budget than some hack scifi author. This is the exact level of moronic that used to be exclusive to the EU books and comics that most people never saw, except now we're casting the actors to say the lines.
No one cares. Enjoy your containment Disney shows with the cinematic sensibilities of an iMovie project.
Boba Fett was cool when he was Vader's right hand man.
Yeah their characters developed into shit.
im gonna develop all gays with 10,000 volts of electricity so they mature out of being homosexuals and hopefully become normal people
>Luke's most dramatic and shocking character development happens outside the timeline of the movies and is only explored in the span of five minutes via a convoluted exposition-riddled flashback
Fricking hate The Last Jedi
Reminder all nu wars is homosexual shit
Luke reverts from the character development he had in Return of the Jedi. He goes past the Jedi code that tells him to kill his father and wages a personal battle for the soul of his father that allows him to defeat the Emperor where the Jedi had failed. In Last Jedi he's reverted as a character and is now obsessed with Jedi dogma that he'd moved past 30 years before and more than that he abandons Kylo and in the process betrays the defining principle of loyalty above all that defined him as a character.
That's not maturation, its a director not understanding the character he's writing for.
>be Boba Fett
>deal with Hutts, Sith and general scum
>almost die, live with Sand People
>forget everything and act like a total twat
that isn't called development
when characters do things completely opposite their character a quick flashback doesn't suffice.
>had to kill him, force made me do it and now I'm sad and bitter.
Yup that's Luke Skywalker, some real development there.
What a manchild thing to say
>development
yeah fricking right lmao
Boba Fett was a non-character.
Only ep 4-5 are good, ep 6 and rogue one are OK. Rest is pure garbage, but ep 3 gets honorary mention for trying to not be as garbage.
I think they're overcorrecting based on extremely surface-level complaints about The Last Jedi. They fundamentally misunderstand the issues I, and I assume many others, have with that movie and reduce it to overly simplistic complaints about powerlevels and character morality. I didn't want Obi-Wan to fling boulders like a superhero, I just wanted a simple story of a man who deals with a dignified self-exile and needs to overcome a couple possible loose ends that might threaten the only hope he has left.
disney only knows maximalism. Ask for subtlety and you will be disappointed.
Reminder all nu wars is homosexual shit
wrong moron, if anything Kenobi as a character followed the exact same plot Luke did on vii, ending with a powerful force feat at the end, only Luke's was higher level.
What the frick are you talking about?
>All these Star Wars shows have basically been going out of their way to fix people's problems with The Last Jedi.
>trying to fix the problems with Last Jedi
>make Kenobi a worthless washed up failure just like Luke
The EU is the only canon that matters i dont care about Disney fan fiction
>Luke, you should know that the Emperor has made several clones of himself so this entire enterprise was pointless
and also he has a planet with thousands of star destroyers with death star lasers which I explicitly know all about.
No way he knew of that. The emperor must've known he would've betrayed him at some point which is the reason for cloning himself anyways so he can resume his even more evil plan (transfer his clone self into Rey)
I also remembered that scene with Rey while watching that scene with Obi-Wan.
When Rey lifted up those rocks to save the Rebels on Crait and help them escape people simultaneously complained that "she's a mary sue it never showed her learn that power" and also complained "wow so she can lift a few tiny rocks big deal lol" both conflicting complaints but both used by the same anti-star wars shills just to shit on the sequels.
>Comparing 2 minute lesson Rey to Obi-wan
Eat a dick Rian
Anyone who takes star wars seriously is just as moronic as the manchildren who love it. It's campy shit. Enjoy the bullshit, simple as
Eh, here's my tier list of the Disney+ shows
Boba, aside from most of the Tusken stuff and the Mandalorian/Ahsoka/Luke bits, fricking sucked
Bad Batch was primarily boring with some good bits at the beginning and end and a few decent bits sprinkled in the middle.
Kenobi was great with some pretty big and unnecessary hiccups and areas where the writers and filmmakers must've been rushed or simply out of budget. Some things, like a lot of episode 4, dip to C tier for me. But when Kenobi is good, it's REALLY good.
Mandalorian isn't tHe BeSt sTaR wArS eVeR or whatever but it's the best thing Disney has done with the franchise bar none. It's like if Boba Fett were a cool samurai instead of the badass, amoral desperado he is in Legends. Very good show and tribute to Star Wars.
Despite being in a largely terrible show, the Mandalorian episode of Book of Boba Fett is also one of the very best Mandalorian episodes, ironically enough.
That and all the great parts of Kenobi make me pretty optimistic.
