The “wokeness” he and other Fandom Menacers complain about in modern media has always been present in comics and is a large part of what makes comics interesting and enjoyable. Stripping that out just creates something lesser.

I like Chuck Dixon and Joe Bennet so I bought it. It was fine, nothing special. Chuck did the best he could in Eric's sandbox, but that's not a lot. Bennet was really phoning it in, though that might be more on the revolving door of inkers and colorists than himself. Chuck's next book there is gonna be original characters so it'll undoubtedly be better, though not guaranteed to really be good either, since it's still in Eric's universe.
