This movie will probably end up costing between 400 to 500m by the time it's all said and done. Disney might be too big to fail, but if something could do it, it might be this.

What's the deal with reshoots, do the actors renegotiate their contracts for more pay?
There's usually a provision in the contract that they have to be available for a certain amount of possible reshoots but will get paid for the time. Big name actors will not accept that because they need to fill other commitments, but nobody in this is big enough to negotiate out of that.

Disney is huge, but also very overleveraged. They could collapse and split apart at a moments notice.
I imagine they’ll get into some financial trouble and sell off LucasFilms, Marvel, Pixar, and basically just keep their animation and park divisions.

The problem is that there is a reason that snowwhite is surrounded by dwarves in the first place.
An important reason everybody understands even if they dont realise it, a chaste, beautiful young princess is surrounded by men who are not living up to their full potential, symbolically dwarves.
And she should hold out for a prince, someone who is truly on her level.
You cant just swap out the 7 dwarves for 7 black lesbians in wheelchairs without fundamentally altering what the story is about.

Snow White may very well end up doing to Disney what Cutthroat Island did to Carolco in the 90's. With as bad as 2023 has been for Disney a half billion dollar flop like this just might kill the studio. They desperately need some hit movies next year and honestly what do they really have?
