Alright, let's do this one last time. My name is Barry Allen, I was struck by lightning and for ten years I've been the one and only Flash.

How come Black Flash didn't catch on like Miles did?
Ace is fine as is. If anything I'm glad he didn't get pushed as the "face" of the Flash name, it'd take away his charm of being a Speedster who has to really work for his identity.
my guess is because it's too similar to the trope of black superhero + lighting.
Also, cuz Bolt is already really fast, so why do black people need representation in that again? That's how I imagine producers argue when they need to create promotional material, so they just kept skiping him.
Plus A-Train from The Boys was already a black speedster
I like Avery better
I want to sniff her butthole
Because he was a blacked Wally first before fans complained
Honestly, I think he just came too late. There are way too many speedsters as is. It's rare that any of the modern ones catch on, the only new one since the nu52 that anyone talks about is Godspeed, and I think that's just because he looks really cool.
Because his original introduction was as a race-swap replacement of Wally West before they retconned him to be a different person entirely. His existence in new 52 erased Wallys entire history and it being a result of Barry doing Flashpoint was especially fricked up, he erased his sidekick and friend from existence and now there was a new version. Later when Wally got brought back in Rebirth he became Wallace and the resentment started to fade. If he was just introduced originally as a new character like Miles was, even if he replaced the role of Wally he wouldn't have been nearly as disliked.
DC is terrible at promoting characters that aren't named Batman
For the same reason "dark reboots" of Robin Hood, King Arthur, or Superman didn't catch on while there was no baseline version accessible.
Wallace's coolest thing is that he's a variant of Wally, but when Wallace was introduced there was no Wally. It would be like if Miles' introduction meant that 616 Spider-Man couldn't appear in books.
Ace got fricked because he was introduced towards the end of the New 52 and the big selling point of Rebirth was that Wally was back. So he got relegated to Damian's Titans.
He was pushed as the brand new Wally West and people hated it
Miles never CAUGHT anything. He's just been forced regardless of he succeeded or not.
I doubt Insomniac was FORCED to put him in their spidey game, if they did it's cause they recognize he is popular right?
because there's always been a hundred fricking Speedsters so there was no novelty.
Miles had editorial and some high profile writers (mostly Bendis) on board, willing to push the character for a couple of years. Spiderman is a much higher profile brand to be associated with, and because of that some semi-competent people eventually came along and put him in something that people cared about.
Because he is literally "black Wally West". This all could've been solved if they just have him a different name from the get go. He didn't need to be a West or an Allen. Just like how Miles Morales isn't a Parker. He could've been anyone.
Also like others have said, when DC did The New 52 the black kid was going to be the rebooted ginger Wally. Which not a single person liked, and after enough backlash DC retracted that, and said that he was a different character with the exact same name as the original ginger Wally West.
It's been so long but how DID (original) Wally West become Kid Flash again?
He got struck by Speedforce lightning while visiting Barry's lab.
So literally the same origin as Barry?
I would unironically watch Into the Flash-Verse. Flash and Green Lantern are the only heroes who have done the legacy hero thing well.
>Instead of the multiverse and parallel universes, it's a gathering of Flashes from the present to the far future; with each one having passed the torch to the next at the end of their careers.
>CW-esque Punished Barry as Peter B. Parker.
>Wallace West as Miles.
>Hot Pursuit Patty as Spider-Gwen.
>Avery Ho as Peni Parker.
>Accelerated Man as Spider-Noir.
>Fastback as Spider-Ham
Could be kino.
I feel like you could make Jay the Peter B equivalent. Like his and Joan's marriage could fall apart because of them not being able to have kids.
Nah, you gotta' have Barry. Maybe Jay can have have Jessica Drew's role in the sequel.
Here's Miguel.
All wrong.
>Rift is caused by Thawne trying to connect to alternate universe versions of himself to destroy Flash
>All the Thawnes inevitably turn on each other
Who would be the 2099?
Godspeed
Future Thawne (No not that one the other one)
Zolomon
Or Bart Allen
Depends on preference, really.
into the speedforce would be kino but barry was never even the first flash
All right, people, let's do this one last time. My name is Jay Garrick. I inhaled some smoke, and for the last forty years I thought I was the one and only Flash. I'm pretty sure you know the rest. You see, I saved the city, fell in love, I got married, saved the city some more, maybe too much, my marriage got testy, made some dicey money choices - don't invest in a Flash-themed museum.
All right people, let's start at the beginning one last time. My name is Avery Ho. I was struck by lightning and for the last two years I've been the one and only Flash.
Okay, let's do this one last time, yeah? For real this time. This is it. My name is Wallace West. I was struck by lightning and for like two days, I've been the one and only Flash. I think you know the rest.
>"Wallace, You have a choice between saving one person, and saving every world. To me, that's an obvious choice"
All right, people, let's start at the beginning one last time. My name is Iris West. I was struck by a freak lightning bolt, and for the last two years I've been the one and only Flash. You guys know the rest. I joined a newspaper. Saved my dad. I couldn't save my best friend, Barry Allen. So now, I save everyone else.
Iris is Flash's MJ. His Gwen would be Patty Spivot like
said.
hm
Frick, I understand Spiderverse's hype now.
I personally never found this look to be peter-esque. Now seeing the flash costume on him, this would be a great model for flash content but DC isn't going to do anything on par with spider-verse anytime soon
