Or maybe we just don't like the tired milking of a property that was dead the moment Muto took over from Ward?
I will say that animated shows have taken a real nosedive, though. Right now if you want a decent animation you have to pick a movie.
>Or maybe we just don't like the tired milking of a property that was dead the moment Muto took over from Ward?
So you can't admit there were any good episodes after Muto took over? It was just dead the moment he took the reigns? Uh huh

Just by sheer probability there must be at least one decent episode post-Ward
I wouldn't know because I stop watching shows when I stop liking them.
I did watch Breezy, though, just to see what was making people so mad. Terrible.

So basically you hold a strong overarching opinion on something you have not much reference to at all, got it. >arrogantpng.png

Nice strawman >I can have an opinion of the entirety of a show from watching 20% of the show because I didn't like the 25th%, yes I am smart, here look at my epic jpg

Yeah I wasn't expecting a high level of reading comprehension from you...
If there's any decent eps post-Muto takeover is because they're decent DESPITE Muto, not because of
I didn't say it was because of him

I'm just gonna break it down for you once and leave you be. >>You can't just decide you don't like something and stop watching it!
Strawman, you can stop watching something if you don't like it, but you can't form an entire critical view on a show e.g. "Or maybe we just don't like the tired milking of a property that was dead the moment Muto took over from Ward?", it's not based on fact at that point, it's just your opinion. You're saying "I didn't like it anymore, so it all must be bad from that point", and attributing it all to Muto as if you actually know that's the case, when you don't. That's moronic. >You have to spend days of your life watching things you don't like to have an opinion!
Yeah, an opinion on the "entirety" of the show

Isn't the whole show set in a different universe? Even if Fionna's Simon died (which would be lame as frick) the original Simon would be unaffected by it.
Its just... too late. Adventure Time is over. Has been for a while. Fionna and Cake was a cute idea like 10 years ago, but the moment for it has passed.
Think of it like the Black Widow movie. For years people said that Black Widow deserved her own film. But by the time the MCU gave her one, the character had already been canonically killed off and that entire saga of the story was wrapped up in endgame, leaving her movie totally disconnected.
You have to strike while the iron is hot with these things. Not just begrudgingly go back to the well for it when you have run out of other ideas.
That's another reason there's little hype for this - it's pretty clear that it only exists because HBO is desperate for content but is unwilling to greenlight anything that wasn't already a successfully property.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is the shit you get when a publisher/platform is allowed to own IP as opposed to just convey it. It incentivizes them to bend over backwards to find ways to make the IP they already own profitable, to TRICK YOU into buying the thing they DECIDED you should want, as opposed to actually finding or investing in new quality properties and passion projects that could become popular in the first place.
Everyone still gushes over shit made in the 80s, but we wouldn't have GOTTEN Robocop and Alien and Ghostbusters in the first place if all the studios wanted to make was reboots of The Maltese Falcon and The Lone Ranger because those were things they owned and thought they could make more profit from.

I think the fact they want you to take fricking Fionna and Cake seriously is the another problem here, her first ep was supposed to be a mockery of all the dumb shippy fanfiction that the fanbase wanted to add to the show (Reminder, it was IK's coomer fanfiction to torture Finn and Jake), however later on literal fanfiction writer got into the writing staff and they were so damn uo their own asses that the joke went over their heads and want you to take this shit seriously
Probably the easiest to sell. "Look at all of this art of these characters people are already posting on twitter, clearly this concept already has fans! The market is already there, we just need to tap into it and the money will print itself."
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't this starting production not long after the series finale? How long has it been?
Muto going on his way to say that he wants more spin-offs only if this one succeds gives me red flag vibes about the hopes for this show
Reminds me of the seasons of Community where Harmon left and new writers got brought on who just exaggerated everyone into being a cartoon character version of themselves with none of the self awareness about it. When you bring on new writers because they are fans of the IP, quality almost always drops because they are too attached to specific elements and the balance that made things good in the first place gets thrown off to make way for their headcanon.
Yes
Adventure Time stopped being good like two seasons in
You're all too bitter abd cynic to enjoy cartoons. Why are you even here anyways, you don't like ANYTHING.
Or maybe we just don't like the tired milking of a property that was dead the moment Muto took over from Ward?

I'd rather something new than more rehash from a show that already ended what twice now?
Or maybe just maybe at became extremely boring in the later parts and had very little of the fun stuff it has presented earlier.
yes
Look man, I just hope that Simon will die. He needs a rest.
Isn't the whole show set in a different universe? Even if Fionna's Simon died (which would be lame as frick) the original Simon would be unaffected by it.
No, Fionna goes to Ooo. The Simon in this is the Simon from the original show.
I’m solely here for Gary Prince
probably,I'm looking forward to the lewds arts it will inspire only

I mean that's Muto's run in a nutshell
Apparently they pitched multiple series ideas and Fionna and Cake is just the one the network greenlit.
Probably the easiest to sell. "Look at all of this art of these characters people are already posting on twitter, clearly this concept already has fans! The market is already there, we just need to tap into it and the money will print itself."
That, and female leads, probably.

Good ol' Flanderization
Some worry there’ll be hourlong essays from youtube gremlins talking about how this is both better and worse than the orginal adventuretime.
Aww stuff
Yes.
Is Natasha part of the new show or is it just ripping off Bee and Puppycat?
Adventure Time hasnt been good last i heard since they decided to emasculate Finn and turn him into a cuck
Nooooooo that's just a strawman you didn't watch every episode so you have no fackshual opinion!
bro you forgot the jpg!
Sounds neat enough.
no
Gonna watch because i like Cake VA
maybe
I'm interested enough to see what happens with Simon
Are 18+ adults that still onions out to Adventure Time the equivalent of Disney adults?
