I think the premise was ok, but the plot was kind of all over the place in terms of pacing or progression. I remember there was dragon racing, but I never understood how the racing worked, how they knew which team was winning thr league or not, why the gear the dragons had helped, etc.
I remember this show being literal fricking cash. Everything about it was so cool, motherfricking dragons battling and racing and they have fricking powers, I wonder how it holds up.

It came from Vlad's father that belong to a Christian Order of the Dragon. The dragon being the biblical one which is lucifer.
And Dracula is referred to as being the "Prince of Darkness" which references the king being lucifer.
Eh then that's pretty tangential to a modern take on dragons
