Either way, both look like fricking dogshit.
The reception for Borderlands 3 was horrible due to the horrific millennial writing. Yeah, make a movie, great idea!
Let's also make a Mad Max movie when no one cares about the franchise at this point, what could go wrong?

Borderlands is gonna be straight slop. Stacked ass cast in a 90min slopfest.
Furoisa has a little potential but not much seeing all the shit that as come out about it and the cgi and everything.
Borderlands isn't even that popular of a game franchise, it's baffling how they thought it was a good idea to make a movie. But they most likely decided on this shit years ago. Gonna be a guaranteed flop.
Borderlands is pretty casual and appeals to the lowest common denominator demographic. Most people have played at least one of them, but it's so forgettable that very few people actually remember or like it. Still, the sales and mass appeal make out of touch businessmen giddy.
People mainly remember 2 since it was the best selling one. If anything made the games more memorable, it was the art style, which they didn't go for in this movie.
Yeah. 2 is the one that seems to have some kind of fanbase, mostly because they like Handsome Jack and enjoy the looter shooter treadmill
Borderlands lost all its fans and gained no new ones when they released BL3, everyone who likes the franchise went back to playing BL2 and they’ve already been burned by BL3 so no way they will pay to watch this movie and normies don’t even know this franchise exists
Not to mention, the studio behind Borderlands got sold like twice in the last 2-3 years or something, bad omen for sure lmao.
To clarify, I was referring to the game studio.
>In April 2021, Gearbox Entertainment was wholly acquired by the Embracer Group for approximately $1.3 billion
>Take-Two Interactive announced its plans to acquire Gearbox Entertainment from Embracer Group for $460 million on March 28, 2024
Holy shit what a blunder.
Didn’t the newest tales from the borderlands flop too? I kind of liked the original because I could let Jack win in the end but everything except scooters death was basically retconned by BL3 anyway
And Im pretty sure that they lost most of their original writers before making BL3 in the first place
>the newest tales from the borderlands flop too?
That one was a mega flop, it was also pure goyslop woke shit upped to the max.
Yeah I think the main writer left the studio after Borderlands 2.
>Let's also make a Mad Max movie when no one cares about the franchise at this point, what could go wrong?
People seem to still like the last one made by the same guy.
Yes but it came out like almost 10 years ago, which is effectively the equivalent to 100 years ago in this modern junk food media landscape where normalgays move one from one big thing to another on a weekly basis.
and Fury Road came out 20+ years after the original, your point? the fanbase is still very much there for it.
Borderlands came out already?
Apparently it comes out in August.
prequel to a decent movie with 2 big name actors vs adaptation of a 2009 video game with two geriatrics and kevin hart
one is gonna be a bigger disaster
You could swap random characters from each one and I wouldn't be able to tell.
both miscast CGI schlop?
Borderlands is especially bad with its casting.
I can forgive Tannis but Lilith makes no sense in any scenario
I would have watched furiosa if the actress from fury road returned and was just deepfaked to look younger or whatever but bugeyes mcalien just looks fricked
why does Furiosa look like shitty Snyder slop??
Don't insult the movie that badly. It looks better than Rebel Moon.
because you have no eye for kino
>I don't care about the franchise
>therefore nobody cares
When the movie comes out and nobody watches it since this is a dead franchise, remember my post.
Why is Furiosa (the character) two times in the poster?
Why did Borderlands fail but Fallout didn't?
Fallout is edgy and gore packed, for mature audiences.
My guess is Borderlands is safe edgy, not R rated.
Fallout also has a better setting and it works way better as a TV series and the casting was somewhat competent.
Borderlands would have not worked out as a TV series, it's aesthetic and directing look lazy and straight up bad and and the story is un-adaptable as the games are a clusterfrick.
A stylized CG animated adult series would have made more sense for Borderlands, not a live action movie.
It gained a lot of momentum with BL2 but immediately shit the bed with the pre sequel and then shit the bed even harder with BL3
>borderlands
>writer and director Eli Roth
Yikes
>Let's also make a Mad Max movie when no one cares about the franchise at this point, what could go wrong?
What exactly is your complaint? They shouldn't make a movie because the IP isn't popular enough?
Make something new for once?
>They shouldn't make a movie because the IP isn't popular enough?
It worked very well for newest ghostbusters and indiana jones
