am i the only one who thinks everything is fricking horrible? i see these threads where you people seem to be enjoying things. wtf? unironically not a good movie made in the last 5 years minimum

sucks to be you i guess
i guess but i dont see how its physically possible to enjoy this shit coming out
Demoralization is a feature of totalitarian societies.
I’m not some perpetually butthurt jaded chud.
Literally what the frick is wrong with him. Dude looks like an action figure come alive
With that haircut he looks like he's trying to become He-Man.
HGH is a hell of a drug
This would be based as frick
What movies do you like? The Thing? Big Lebowski? Original Star Wars?
2019 was the last time I saw anything good at the theater. Joker and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I'm a wannabe feature screenwriter and I hate TV writers so much it's unreal.
farquad looking ass
I don't disagree but there's such a big catalog of movies to go through I'm not too mad about it.
For example, I just watched Colossus: The Forbin Project. It is now the single AI takeover movie I like, as it neither sensationalizes the AI's methods (no killer robots or death rays, just a preexisting nuclear arsenal) nor does it anthropomorphize the AI unnecessarily.
Not as bad as the Obama years but yeah bro it's pretty bad
Good movies of the last 5 years:
All Quiet on the Western Front
Tar
Prey
The Northman
RRR
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
The Last Duel
Old Henry
Dunc
Pig
The Summit of the Gods
Druk
1917
Joker
Uncut Gems
Parasite
The Lighthouse
I Lost My Body
mid90s
Sorry to Bother You
Mandy
Annihilation
Isle of Dogs
Prospect
Cold War
Shoplifters
Not saying they are all masterpieces but they're all pretty good. Movies kind of suck now but they still make some kinos every now and then
>blocks you're path
Ridiculous I enjoyed both Extraction movies more than John Wick 3&4. They really turned that franchise to shit.
Someone needs to explain why they liked sorry to bother you and wtf was with the giant naked dick monsters like why the frick was that necessary?
If I look that movie up and see who made it I’m not gonna find a certain type of ~~*people*~~ are behind it right?
>what?!?! A movie I didn't understand?!?
>it can't be that i'm just a moron, it must be some kind of israeli plot!!!
pol brainrot is embarassing
it was a pretty enjoyable movie until the horse wieners came out and ruined it
You forgot avatar 2 yes I'm serious
Frick off.
Anon. Annihalation came out over 5 years ago…
dont like any of 'em
ill give you,
>Mission Impossible Fallout
>Top Gun Maverick
>Uncut Gems
>Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
were all solid but the rest are shit, and even with these the two tom cruise movies would have just been another movie of the week in the 90s, but now movies are so shitty they seem special.
Out of how many movies you guys listed only like 4 are even kind of good in any genuine way the rest are complete and utter trash.
>only likes college freshman-core movies
lol lmao
ya and only top gun maverick was any good of what he listed. movies have sucked forever. I just tried to sit through the clooney ocean's 11 and frick what a boring piece of shit. by the time elliot gould told them they're moronic it felt like two hours had past.
>nothing but mainstream slop
cringe
>the northman
homosexual
Most of these are only good when compared to garbage that's been released in the last 5 years. If this was anytime before 2010 all of them would be considered unwatchable trash.
Pig? Wasn't that movie made as a literal joke?
>All Quiet on the Western Front
Lol you fricked it up immediately, what a terrible adaptation that was
Literally not a single good movie on that shitlist
Twisted Pair
5? Try 10.
you have depression
He's no Robert Z'Dar
Could easily be his kid
Bullet train was fun. I'm expecting Oppenheimer to be decent. Godzilla vs Kong was solid and so was avatar 2. Joker and once upon a time in Hollywood were greats but those feel like more than 5 years back.
Cinemaphile doesn't have good taste.
It's called depression. Your serotonin plugs are sapped, time for SSRI's
Sort of looks like Dennis Wilson
It's weird that in a few years people will be saying "Did you know Zac Efron actually used to be really handsome?"
Did anyone ever say he was ugly? He scored higher in looks than most guys. This is all his own insecurities coming out like good looking women bogging themselves.
Bumblebee!
Cinemaphile has lots of homosexual redditors posting here who still enjoy low effort shit
Movies I've enjoyed within the last 5 years
RRR
Pig
Hustle
Lamb
Possessor
Crimes of the Future
Red Rocket
Ambulance
John Wick 4
Hereditary
Eighth Grade
Game Night
Mission Impossible Fallout
Burning
The House that Jack Built
Extraction 1 & 2
Asteroid City
The Batman
Spider-Man Into/Across the Spider-Verse
Dune
Nope
Avatar 2
Top Gun Maverick
Mandy
Banshees of Inisherin
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
Mad God
Guardians of the Galaxy 3
Annihilation
Tar
GDT's Pinocchio
The Green Knight
The Summit of the Gods
Druk
Drive My Car
Nobody
Uncut Gems
The Lighthouse
Dungeons and Dragons
We're Going to the World's Fair
Wrath of Man
Parasite
Knives Out
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Sound of Metal
Ford v Ferrari
Alita Battle Angel
Saint Maud
The Peanut Butter Falcon
Dark Waters
Corpus Christi
Promare
Upgrade
Sharp Objects
Overlord
I'm sure im missing a couple
literally all of these movies are bad
you forgot M3GAN
I've seen eight of these, but only liked four. I would add
Bullet Train
Everything Everywhere All at Once
Puss in Boots: the Last Wish
The Gentlemen
Joker
>OP hasn't watched pic related
Are you even Von Trying?
At least he was hot in it
I could snap your neck with one hand.
I doubt that, you limp wristed homosexual 😉
where are you finding these threads? all i see is people b***hing about stuff
I saw picrel last night. It was kino.
Lol I’m the same, feels like I’m slowly disassociating from society and wondering if everyone else is crazy or if it’s just me
I think it's the opposite, your opinions are too informed by society. Find a medium you know nothing about and jump in. Don't ask for recommendations, don't look up the zeitgeist, just go in blind. Have you tried K-drama? How about rakugo? Maybe French comics. Or Mexican stop motion. Shinhonkaku novels. Just pick something exotic enough that no one in your circles can color your experience
>Have you tried K-drama?
american hours Cinemaphile is so gay man
Many people have never seen any, but it's sort of irrelevant. If you have already formed opinions on them, don't watch them. Go find something genuinely novel to you
beanstalk maxxing best new fad
If it bothers you then take solace in the fact that a lot of movies are flopping or are bringing in little returns nowadays
That's clearly about you and not the actual movies, anon. Maybe you should seek help?
WHOS THE TWINK NOW HUH. CANT CALL ME A TWINK NOW HUH.
What movies do you like?
Everything Everywhere All at Once was kino and made me cry. Youre a heartless Black person OP, thats all.
stay in dgg.
I can't unsee some sort of Shrek character
damn Elliot looks like that??
The last good year for movies was like 2007. Maybe 08. The 2010s fricking sucked
Is that Zac Efron? Imagine being born a Gigachad and ruining yourself with unecessary jawjob
you probably suffer from depression, you should talk to a therapist
These days I can only enjoy media that deviates from conventional narrative structure. I turn anything off the second I encounter a trope, cliche, traditional character arc etc. It's just completely uninteresting to me and waste of time.
The last thing I enjoyed was Twin Peaks the return
i liked dune remake
and dune 2 looks cool
The Batman (2022) was pretty good and comfy
I feel this way about tv shows, like basically no tv is good these days. Even "good" shows like Succession are mostly okay, usually a few good eps spliced between boring filler eps designed to pad out length and waste time. Like seriously, I don't get how there are people on here who see a show like Silo or Rings of Power and legitimately think they want to watch them
Fricking why
I have to be half drunk to enjoy anything
life is misery
Good point. OP probably isn't even drinking alcohol to make the films better.
Everything is bad and I blame immigration and women.
