No I agree, I love black and white
Idk about "better" because some comics utilize their color well, it's not just about turning every comic monochrome and it'll instantly look better
But ones who are made with B&W in mind are fricking kino and I wish it was done more

It could work if they don't load the page with too many details. It is hard to read it that way. Specially if you download

It depends entirely on the penciling and inking styles. Looking at these panels, the Scott Hanna and Jed Hotchkiss inks look okay as is, but Gerry Fernandez's needs a color finish.

Not at all, they all need color and Hanna is the only one that inked it well.

What you posted isn't exactly b&w but more importantly, it would greatly depends of the artist. Jeminez has strong lineart and use a great deal of grey scales/brush effects that makes the visual too busy at time for b&w. It look good with no colos, but the visibility isn't always the greatest. Meanwhile, Redondo's lineart and inking are flat and meant to be upscaled by the colors. It be way more boring to look at otherwise. That just using two good DC artist as an example.

Printing in black and white means that details are shown more clearly.
You hide a lot of bad artwork with flashy colors.

agreed, but they need to be made with that in mind, i.e. not leave the heavy lifting to the colorist

Black & white with well-crafted contrast is way better for readability if your comic is any more complex than a peanuts newspaper comic strip. Your imagination can fill in the colors.

      It’s also cheaper to print.

Both of those artists are exceptionally good pencillers so this isn't a fair question.

No you’re not the only one, no it’s not universal agreement either. Yes it’s case by case. We have this thread daily. You can have a nice day now. /thread

      This thread again?

How come no one on this board complains about repetitive thread topics when an anon makes the 2 millionth waifugay thread, but a topic actually about comics & cartoons that gets reused every once in a while is somehow "too much"?

because OP doesn't actually want a legitimate discussion and just wants to regurgitate his opinions
with waifu threads the discussion part is thrown away from the very first post.

The biggest issue is that comics and most comic artists don't design characters for black and white. It's too generalizing to say cape comics use house style or "realism" but generally a lot of artists don't stylize things like eyes or face shapes or hair distinctly alot to make it noticeable with just a quick glance.
Things like characters having eyes with entirely different shapes or hairstyles with distinct set number of strands or spikes.
You see this issue with a lot of black and white reprints where characters in normal clothes look indistinct.

Depends on the comic. It's not an absolute as some benefit from color
