Am I wrong to say that I feel some marvel heroes should not exist in the same place? Things like Punisher, Blade, and hell even the X Men I feel cheapen their stories if they exist in the same time as say the Avengers or other heroes/villians. The X Mens entire struggles I feel are cheapened because how could heroes like Spider Man or Captain America sit by with shit like Sentinels existing or mutant oppression? Then you have Blade hunting random monsters or secret cabals of vampires shit that SHIELD would have noticed by now and take care of it, and lets just not get started with that can of worms that is Punisher right now

uhh umm it's le multiverse okay you wouldn't get it
But it’s not a multiverse argument I’m just saying to not mix them up
Can't be everywhere man.
>Spider Man or Captain America sit by with shit like Sentinels existing or mutant oppression?
This is touched bit in some comics but I only really remember it in ultimate. Like ultimate does weave in the mutant stuff to non mutant heroes. Even Peter had a couple issues where he thought he was a mutant and Captain America is told to shut up and say nothing over it but I kinda forget what happens later on it.
Ultimate heavily tries to tie mutant stuff to all heroes it’s one of the few times they actually do it.
Ultimate Wasp was a mutant, not sure if it gets brought beyond Betty Ross and Pym complaining about how she's apparently super gross and sometimes wakes up having laid eggs sacs while she was sleeping.
Spider Man hangs around with the X Men heavily in ultimate to the point he has a relationship with Kitty
KittyXPeter is underrated
Its funny becasue I have the same fricking recollection of early Ultimate runs making non mutant heroes question their stance on the mutant thing especially when they introduced the Ultimate Avengers but I cant for the life of me remember specifics
Yeah, you're wrong.
Why tho
>Am I wrong to say that I feel some marvel heroes should not exist in the same place?
yes
> Things like Punisher, Blade, and hell even the X Men I feel cheapen their stories if they exist in the same time as say the Avengers or other heroes/villians
no
>The X Mens entire struggles I feel are cheapened because how could heroes like Spider Man or Captain America sit by with shit like Sentinels existing or mutant oppression?
just say cap was busy fighting snake people
>Then you have Blade hunting random monsters or secret cabals of vampires shit that SHIELD would have noticed by now and take care of it, and lets just not get started with that can of worms that is Punisher right now
just say SHIELD was busy with the glordanians
you can literally justify anything with a handwave, its fiction
It’s a simple question but I see marvel heads like crossover slop
Yes.
>in this response I'm the Chad head and you're the sad head
>you can literally justify anything with a handwave, its fiction
this is called lazy writing and only soulless writers engage in it
>this is called lazy writing
at the end of the day, things like what the avengers were doing while the fantastic 4 were in space is irrelevant to the current story
its fiction, you can create any excuse you want
yes you are wrong because it is a fictional comic book setting and separating them does nothing if there's a multiverse anyway
Shared universe is actually bad for story-telling. cross-overs are fun but should be temporary.
>Shared universe are good for story-telling. cross-overs are fun and therefore should be the standard
FTFY
Guardians of the Galaxy is kino because they rarely mingle with the rest of Marvel Heroes.
If anything I think they only work with the Fantastic Four.
I've thought about this same thing and I agree. There's tons of characters that work good on their own without the rest of their universe barging into them. Their themes and lore just fricking clash too much
What is happening with punisher right now?
>people cracking jokes means Blade and Spider-Man can't coexist
you people are absolutely fricking moronic and beyond salvation. Marvel had to double down on the quips just so you idiots could miss the obvious message.
I never really targeted quipping more like everything being together
X-men should've been their own setting instead of being attached to main marvel tbh
I don't know if I'm being influenced by Disney trying to ignore them since they bought Marvel, but I agree. They feel like they stand on their own
>The X Mens entire struggles I feel are cheapened because how could heroes like Spider Man or Captain America sit by with shit like Sentinels existing or mutant oppression?
what do you even want Cap or Spider-Man to do? they can take down a sentinel but can't change people's mind overnight the same way I can't end the Israel-Hamas war from my computer and SHIELD is too big to bother with the Punisher or Blade.
Marvel is more relatable than DC's universe because of how
-the individual is totally apathetic to the problems of their world.
Yeah you're wrong since you're spending too much time thinking about a fictional universe instead of engaging with actual stories.
