The old ones who taught them had died. They tried desperately to revive a rotting corpse. They burned the tools to stay warm and let their own children starve and die. Then they looked for someone to blame for their misfortune and found they were all alone.
Someone else came by later, and wondered briefly who they were. Then built a new home where they once were.
Seriously does/did anything besides Hazbin even air this year? The only other cartoon I've even seen mentioned was Invincible s2 but I am not sure if it aired this year or in late 2023
Like many streaming shows it was ordered for enough episodes for two seasons from the start. Seperating the single production run into two seasons is an artificial thing.
I hate the infantile CGI bullshit even more than capeshit and I already hate capeshit. There is just no point to follow the cartoon industry anymore. Check once a year in case that there is a single good series (there are usually 1-2 decent cartoons made per year), download that and ignore again till next year.
Why wasn't Mars Express released yet? France planned to have it finished by the end of 2023.
Unrelated, but Transformers Earthspark also continues soon.
It's simply not the show you watch as a 30 year old. I know that Cinemaphile consists of nostalgia gays that wear diapers and watch baby cartoons to feel like 3 again, but that's not as common and normal as you think.
I HATE capeshit. It literally holds back American comics and TV animation at this point. No, I won't watch any of it. >The Casagrandes movie
I thought it was canceled?
No, it just means I'm not Mexican and subscribed to shitflix in 2024. All of it is garbage. Why would anyone keep up with it, much less pay a subscription fee for it?

you sound like a bitter unpleasant person to be around
This 2 pics already proved OP massively wrong (and it didn’t even include Bad Batch’s final season and Looniversity’s 2nd Season) and yet this thread is still going
Just admit you’re wrong morons
>massively wrong
lolwut? this list is dreadful and you had to push movies in it for no reasons.
It's also extremely suspicious that you had this list at hand so quickly to begin with, it's not the kind of pictures people make and keep at hands just like that.
Damn the majority of this is just legacy shit.
Not much new stuff. I hate to compare it to anime and Japan, but that is the difference. Over there new shit gets love. While all we do here is jerk off wrinkly old billion dollar franchises instead of creating something new.
>pixar CGI and other toddler garbage >more "mature" comedies that look like american dead
Granted, I see three out of them that MIGHT be good. Maybe four, if that He-Man cartoon is good. Didn't hear anything about it so it probably isn't, but I feel like giving it a chance.
Isn't that just storyboarded and partially animated by Koreans?
Should look at animation Twitter and Instagram. It's animators and storyboarders who have been out of work since late 2022 freaking out.
And wealthy guys who made all their money a decade ago telling them to calm the frick down sometimes industries have issues. Just don't work for 2-3 years, it's not a problem.
I was so sure that this series would be cool but I couldn't watch it. It felt like a disney cartoon for little kids. Why is this hyped so much? I assumed that the blue haired MC (whatever her name was) would start as a wimpy kid, witness the murder of her sister and man up. Instead the wimpy kid stays wimpy and the big sister is just the caring big sister that can fight because of course a woman has to.
People say comics are dying but the mainstream television cartoon industry in the west is basically on life support due to how many projects keep getting axed. It's gotten so bad Cinemaphile needs to talk about indie pilots to fill the silence.
Oh man I can't wait for the next latinx Nerdina cartoon and her lesbian adventures that will lead her through insecurity drama but teach her that she's valid before it can develop into anything serious.

I want to fricking strangle iger and zaslav and the likes of all these execs who just straight up hate animation. I mean they must hate the medium if they are sabotaging it this hard
>DTVA's Haunted Mansion projects get shitcanned because the Disney execs went "Theme Park IPs are too valuable to waste on animation" >The Haunted Mansion reboot movie they end up making flops even harder then the Eddie Murphy movie.
Most of that is toddlerslop. Again the only ones that are good are smilling friends and hazbin. Maybe rock paper scissors because thats mid at best and the TMNT show could be good but honestly considering shit like isekai suicide squad worthy of something to watch is bullshit So no, you frick off frickwit

Basically this. Besides the ones you mentioned I consider giving the MoU Revo, the Peanuts thing and Invincible s2 too a chance as well but that's still only a few series and I doubt that any of those I didn't try yet will be good. I hope. But I won't be surprised if Revo is just another soulless corp product like Netflix He-Man and Invincible s1 had some cool ideas but so much annoying shit that it fully evened out the good parts of it and I don't expect s2 to stop with that.
Figment movie will be very interesting, they absolutely need to nail that one if they want to ever get him known or liked outside the Walt Disney World crowd and if they are allergic to animation like they that entire thing will be DOA
They should all go indie and help fricking over the established frickers when everybody asks for the first and nobody is willing to watch tv or corporate shit again.
It's the first to be cut due to being a medium that is not really watched by consumers. Kids don't buy shit so no executive cares.
Also animation is one of the slowest things made by a huge crew of people from painters, designers, background painters, animators, storyboarders, the crews are a lot larger than a typical film crew. And you still have to pay writers and actors premium fees. It saves a lot more money to cut a cartoon than a live show unless it is some high concept thing that is a medieval or 1950s setting.
>And wealthy guys who made all their money a decade ago telling them to calm the frick down sometimes industries have issues. Just don't work for 2-3 years, it's not a problem.
Jorge Gutierrez is usually a pretty chill guy whenever you see him say anything online. But his constant >You guy should just take a break and not work at all for the next couple of years
is kind of bullshit. Great a guy with multiple series and movies under his belt can tell people who normally would just be working a regular medium income 9 to 5 that they should just not work for a while. As if no one had to pay bills or rent.
Good. Frick they/them. They let management and showrunners frick them over by merging roles and outsourcing the actual work to offshore sweatshops. Plus they were so bad at their work that they contributed to the death of the medium.
Get regular jobs and do indie animation.
Even with a list of only 24, most of it is shit.
Unless you really think anyone who's not a brainless mongoloid or a literal 5 year old is going to watch and enjoy shit like those shitty Megamind cashgrabs or Hot Wheels Let's Race.

X-Men 97?
>did anything besides Hazbin even air this year?
Most of that is shit, especially migration and kevin smith he man
>especially migration
Migration was fun.
Sadly we didn't get much art of it. The duck mom was hot.
>cries there's nothing
>gets proven wrong
>moves goalpost
Frick off
"Nothing worth watching" isn't exactly a stretch, unless you like the taste of dogshit
the fact velma 2 was cleared for another season is proof western animation is a dead premise
Like many streaming shows it was ordered for enough episodes for two seasons from the start. Seperating the single production run into two seasons is an artificial thing.
Maybe I have become too old for cartoons
I've already started to migrate hobbies
>can't check out cool out retro cartoons, can only enjoy something if it involves consuming current thing
Don't hurry back

can we not lump in kiddies trash with other demographics?
Cinemaphile is a shithole and has no idea what it talks about
fricking Cinemaphile has a better understanding on animation and demographics
Animation is animation, you pretentious frick
This. Fricking nobody on Cinemaphile lists or mentions Doraemon and the likes unless it's in a meta thread about Japanese tv demographics.
>Fricking nobody on Cinemaphile lists or mentions Doraemon
So they have shit taste then

No, it just means I'm not Mexican and subscribed to shitflix in 2024. All of it is garbage. Why would anyone keep up with it, much less pay a subscription fee for it?
you sound like a bitter unpleasant person to be around
You sound mentally ill if you enjoy things that are literally made for three year olds.
This 2 pics already proved OP massively wrong (and it didn’t even include Bad Batch’s final season and Looniversity’s 2nd Season) and yet this thread is still going
Just admit you’re wrong morons
No, no, let the thread continue forever. I love reading it all.

hate to say it, but Hazbin Hotel is the best thing on that entire fricking list
put it out of its misery
how about you get put out of your misery you miserable piece of shit
>pixar CGI and other toddler garbage

Ark survival evolved
Isn't that just storyboarded and partially animated by Koreans?
Can you make a short list of people to follow?
the second season of arcane premieres this year.
I was so sure that this series would be cool but I couldn't watch it. It felt like a disney cartoon for little kids. Why is this hyped so much? Literally just Hazbin hotel, grim
Oh man I can't wait for the next latinx Nerdina cartoon and her lesbian adventures that will lead her through insecurity drama but teach her that she's valid before it can develop into anything serious.
Yeah?
whoa, a whole 4 episodes!
They already announced the whole season will be airing with no breaks.
>No cartoons in 2024?
??!
That people care about
>Let's produce everything in either California or Canada and have Koreans do the heavy lifting, what could possibly go wrong
It's Q1 just passed calm down.
>Hasbin Hotel
>Invincible
>X-men
>Clone High S3 (ehhh)
...Shit yeah this kinda bad

Frustrating to see.
I hope iger gets booted off someday, genuinely hate his ass
Its all fricking shit, frick off

Get regular jobs and do indie animation.
Keep Clam and Animate On.
Reality is poison.
The world is a vampire.
The Internet is for Porn.
WHERE CAN I FIND A TUMBLEWEED?!?!?
More accurate image:
I miss generals, theres nothing to fricking watch
Mods hate generals anyway, and it'd be impossible to have one in current times when shows get batch dumped in a day or a week.
Animators go to animate porn nowadays
Any development nowadays seems mostly restricted to the big screen. I think we've reached a point of no return, TV animation is dead.
bait or actual moronation
Yeah. It's sad. It's all just shitty slice of life nonsense about le quirky brown girls
moron
looks pretty realistic to me
The situation is straight up dire but it might get better by next year.
>next year
I predict we'll see more western-produced content, including animation, based on Japanese IPs. It seems to be all the rage nowadays.
what the frick kind of list did you expect? Over 100 a year like animus?
95% of those shows are shit
Even with a list of only 24, most of it is shit.
Unless you really think anyone who's not a brainless mongoloid or a literal 5 year old is going to watch and enjoy shit like those shitty Megamind cashgrabs or Hot Wheels Let's Race.
We have Family Guy knock offs
Shit you’re not interested in is not the same as shit not existing dipshit
>Nick is getting Schneindered
>Zaslav hates cartoons and is running WB into the ground
>Disney franchises are starting to crumble
IT'S JOEVER
Good, they shouldn't have let all those tumblrinas into the industry that don't appeal to it really demographic, BOYS
143204506
stfu moron
comics too
X-Men 97
God I wish capeshit would fricking die
The 2020s are going to be the worst decade for animation since the 1970s
So like...are cartoons really, really boned? Where do I go to read more about the situation?
I don't even ware about Disney/Nick and CN fall from grace, but what happened to Canada?
This, they actually died
They deserved it though
stfu moron
