It could work actually. nu-Bateman is a mystery meat abomination with rich parents. Ivy League graduate, works as a DEI commisar at notAmazon/notApple. When he's with his friends/cowoerkes he competes in spewing commiebabble about equity, bodies, spaces, voices, and all that shit. There are a few whites in the cast and xir can barely conceal his psychotic rage and hatred of them. All the murder victims are white, and the killings of course have a grotesque element of sexual violence which are the consequence of xir's perversions.

No Bret No watch. Actually I’m excited for the HBO adaptation of The Shards. It hasn’t been picked up yet, but that book is so insanely rich, well structured and absorbing that it would make prime prestige television. Towards the end of the book Bateman becomes progressively more unsettled by the superficial and morally vacuous state of his surroundings. The idea being the nihilism around him is disconcerting, and the fact that his contemporaries are unfazed by this suggested that perhaps Bateman is less unhinged than the people around him. The books a masterpiece. The movie is awful.
