You know the scope only looks in front right?
>Routh was a 25-year-old U.S. Marine Corps veteran from Lancaster, Texas. Kyle and Littlefield had reportedly taken Routh to the gun range in an effort to help him with his post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which he suffered from his time in the military.
>Routh had also been in and out of mental hospitals for at least two years and had been diagnosed with schizophrenia, although his stated motive did not involve any symptoms typically associated with the disability, such as hallucinations or delusions.
>On the way to the shooting range, Chris Kyle texted his friend Littlefield, "This dude is straight up nuts." Littlefield responded, "Watch my six," military slang meaning "watch my back."
>Four months later, while he was in his jail cell, Routh shared with former Erath County Sheriff's Deputy Gene Cole: "I was just riding in the back seat of the truck, and nobody would talk to me. They were just taking me to the range, so I shot them. I feel bad about it, but they wouldn't talk to me. I'm sure they've forgiven me."
Kek, stupid amerigolems got what they deserve. died so Isreal could prosper
>"Watch my six," military slang meaning "watch my back."
So why didnt his friend watch his back? Who was in the wrong here?
they watched each other's backs downrange to setup targets while they left various loaded firearms with the schizo who must've gotten tired of waiting and opened fire
There's no way a experienced, elite, Navy SEAL would make such a baffling judgment call, especially regarding firearms. My guess he was taken out because they were scared he had gotten too powerful to control, too dangerous
Meds.
>Kyle had been shot six times, including a “rapidly fatal” bullet to the back that pierced his aorta, and another to the jaw that caused a severe spinal cord injury. Littlefield was hit seven times, including four that would have been instantly fatal. One of the gunshot wounds was to the top of the head, indicating it was likely fired while Littlefield was already on the ground.
>After the killings, Routh first went to a Taco Bell and bought some burritos, then went to his sister's house in Midlothian and told her what he had done. His sister, Laura Blevins, called 9-1-1 and told the emergency operator: "They went out to a shooting range ... Like, he's all crazy. He's ... psychotic." After that, Routh drove to his home and picked up his dog. Local police first distracted Routh by speaking to him, where he spoke irrationally about Hell, the end of the world, and voodoo. After Routh drove away over a failed attempt to use spike strips, police captured Routh after a short freeway chase, which ended when Routh, who fled the scene in Kyle's Ford F-350 truck, crashed into a police cruiser in Lancaster.
They thought he was a harmless schizo. They were mistaken.
Ok. So you're telling me that this "schizo" hit these soldiers in multiple critical and fatal vital spots, with two different pistols, in quick enough succession that neither victims even had time to draw their weapons, even though one was literally an elite legendary soldier.
If you believe any of that then you might as well get your annual booster you cretin. Safe and effective right?
Conspiracies aren't real, you fricking school shooter.
>he doesn’t know there’s a conspiracy to tell you conspiracies don’t exist
Oh yeah definitely.
You guys have been trolled. I'm from reddit btw. Bye losers
>I'm from reddit btw
We could tell from the unnecessary blank line in you post.
>marine takes out two seals with their backs turned
>that's impossible!! It was the invisible goon squad!
The average GunTuber could pull that off, never mind an ex-Marine.
He was a trained soldier shooting at completely unaware morons with a perfect line of sight well within the accurate distance of his firearms. The only conspiracy here is the myth of gravy seals being tier one operators which quickly expired after their moronation was exposed because of this schizo
SEALs are fricking morons and Chris Kyle made the average SEAL look like a member of MENSA.
>There's no way a experienced, elite, Navy SEAL would make such a baffling judgment call, especially regarding firearms
...You should give this book a read, anon.
average Cinemaphile shitposter
>taken to the gun range in an effort to help him with his post-traumatic stress disorder
Who thought that was a good idea?
How else were they gonna stage his murder?
Apparently they'd done it with a few veterans and it worked out okay. Of course, those guys weren't literal schizophrenics.
>Who thought that was a good idea?
Navy seals are full-blown moronic and left a live Air Force PJ on a hill in afghanistan to die and lobbied congress to give one of their seals a medal of honor if they were going to give one to the PJ who went down shooting talibans.
And then there was that Green Beret they murdered in Mali.
I forgot about that one. seals are fricking slime
>verification not required
>Nooooo it was just hazing gone too far!
The frick it was. He found out what they were up to and they bumped him off.
I hate seals so much. I was in afghanistan in 2012 and had to work with them once and it was the worst experience of my life. Seabees are cool though.
why
because they think they are in charge of everything that happens. I was a combat engineer and our job was route clearance (clearing the roads of IEDs) and those frickers would never shut up about how long we'd take.
just moronation from being in the army and a frickload of chemical exposure from burn pits.
>a frickload of chemical exposure from burn pits.
>Sorry we have determined your lung cancer is not service related teehee
>Sorry we have determined your lung cancer is not service related teehee
I'm already at 90% from the VA. Just got diagnosed with IBS last week which is a presumptive condition related to chemical exposure there so we'll see.
>just moronation from being in the army
whats moronic about being in the army? isnt it cool and stuff?
oh, you sweet summer child. there's nothing like the dude who is in charge of you and 30 other peoples' lives being some 22-year-old college kid who just graduated and thinks he's better than you for having gone to college
what? since when are the men put in charge on the younger side? i thought the officials/ captains were older and usually been in the army for several years before hand or smthing
NCOs are generally more experienced. officers are literally straight out of college
did u get any cool scars or batttle wounds
Yeah, he got mental scars from having to work with SEALs.
Don't forget Operation Red Wings (Lone Survivor)
How the frick did those morons think they could come in on a helicopter and expect the element of surprise anyways? You'd think the US military after Vietnam would have learnt the lesson "helicopters are fricking loud and everyone in a 10 mile radius is going to know you're there"
It's not even that, they went from the original Marine plan of inserting far away and rucking to the point, to landing pretty much right there by "desensitizing" the local militia to helicopters by flying them around there everyday for 2 weeks. It didn't take a shepherd boy to find and ambush them, probably everyone knew some shit was going to go down.
What really fricked them though was that they didn't bring a belt-fed weapon with them.
You know you can't heal trauma without integrating it right, and since PTSD is suppressed in the subject (until violent outbursts) it makes sense to bring them back to places similar to it, to better facilitate the subconscious activation/receptivity vis. those memories. He wasn't stupid and it's not like he's working in new territory. That's how you cure it
still freaky to me reading about my hometown online

>was just riding in the back seat of the truck, and nobody would talk to me. They were just taking me to the range, so I shot them. I feel bad about it, but they wouldn't talk to me. I'm sure they've forgiven me."
lmfao
You know situational awareness is your greatest asset, right?
Not your gun.
Reminder that 'confirmed kills' are not a thing and only exist because snipers are sitting around doing nothing 99 percent of the time and needed something interesting to put in their reports. Literally no other position in any american armed force counts 'confirmed kills.'
Except for Air Force pilots and Naval aviators.
Dumb Black person and documented compulsive liar.
The claims about his confirmed kill amounts are even more suspect than his story about shooting looters during Katrina
Listen, the Navy already changed the records and awarded him a bunch of medals so he was posthumously not lying out his ass.
You're just going to have to forget about the Hurricane Katrina thing because let's face it, the glowie budget isn't high enough to bribe an entire superbowl stadium of people into pretending that they heard some psycho blasting tv thieves.
shut the frick up
God made man
Colt made them equal
God bless that schizo
He did it for no free healthcare
Actually he did it for free healthcare. Being a zogbot and stacking enough disability healthcare is free. And you also get free college. All the shit americans whine about being so expensive is literally free if you do a 3 year contract unless you get arrested for DUIs, beating your spouse or doing drugs. Fun fact is that only 30% or so of the people who join the armed forces survive their first 36 months without getting discharged and lose all their benefits.
>>shot in the back by a schizo in land of the free
Good. More conservative morons need to go out that way.
obvious demoralization thread is obvious
I had no idea this guy had died.
Damn dude. I'm pretty out of the loop and can't even imagine how that's possible.
Did he die in the film? I saw it in theater and hated it so much I just never thought about it again. I think I saw a clip of him giving an interview once and just assumed he was alive.
Yes and it's constantly mentioned every time he is brought up anywhere
No, he's alive but he's frozen. The loonie shooting him was just a ruse, they're gonna pull him out of the freezer and rehydrate him when America needs him the most. They did the same thing with Robin Williams and Anthony Bourdain.
>hey bro I've got super bad PTSD from that war we fought in together
>yeah? let's go shoot some guns together
It's way more moronic than that. They were texting each other while driving to the range that something wasn't right with the guy and wouldn't talk to him. Even a non-schizo person would get paranoid in that scenario.
I don't even let my own brother or mom near my guns because they both say the wildest shit sometimes or act off. Some people don't know when they're dealing with people who are absolutely mental
What if he and his friend were planning to kill that schizo. Probably how he coped with muh ptsd.
If they were texting eachother then who was driving? Or was Chris Kyle driving while texting with some old Nokia flip phone?
a quintessentially American story
I can't think of any of these guys as anything other than expendable and entirely interchangeable. The idea of BADASS operators is a meme in a world where most casualties have been to artillery since at least ww1
COIN is very different from force on force.
Thing is standard infantry could beat up on poors all day with another months training
Wouldn't do much good though. Acting like subhumans and beating people up wouldn't solve anything, it's all about studying patterns of life is way more important to know what is going on in the area.
It depends what they are doing often they just help co-ordinate some shitty allied milita or they go in and do basically terror attacks. I don't think they go in on the ground and only then try to make friends with the locals very often, there is other guys for that.
A lot of them are dumb meatheads who don't even understand what the Punisher's philosophy even is or that Frank is basically a crazy person but use his logo on everything. This is probably the only thing I'd support Marvel going after from a legal perspective
It’d be scarier if they knew but simply didn’t care.
It's more scary when cops use it
When did it rise to prominence? Because I can’t remember it being a trend.
Probably when Chris Kyle started using it honestly.
>expendable and entirely interchangeable
They are, that's their job.
>They are, that's their job.
That's not the image they are given though, the idea that there is super soldiers I think is a meme kept alive because it's good for recruitment
Also good for those lucrative book deals and podcast opportunities.
I’m fighting for the destruction of regional rivals to Israel at home.
Hathwiener is the greatest. Kyle and his seal welfare queens are liars.
All the Hathwiener stories are total fiction too, there are no citations, primary, or archival sources for them, no sources at all beyond Henderson's "authorized biographies" of him. Fake and gay like all the other sniper myths.
Reminds me that the Juba Mustafa "Olympic sniper" sounds alot like the antagonist of the Kyle Swanson sniper novels that came out in the years before CK wrote American Sniper
What's an "alot"?
Another mudslime astroturfing thread
Ah yes, Marcus "GET BACK HERE" Luttrell. Another bullshit artist.
He served so that american had the absolute constitutional right to blow him away for no reason. This is something you will never understand because you would never serve.
>AMERICA >AMERICA >AMERICA >AMERICA >AMERICA >AMERICA
He won.

The best movies have revenge plots.
Change my mind.
The book just arrived in the mail. What page does he talk about how he didn't care about killing kids and stuff like that? I'm looking for the edgy stuff
>Being racist against brown skinned people in your own European country?
Jail.
>Killing brown skinned farmers and peasants in the middle east for god's chosen?
Hero. Have a movie deal goy.
It's so fricking tiresome.

glad people are finally calling jocko and muh seals out
Idr if it was in the movie but the most ridiculous thing I remember from the book is him in Fallujah (which was blockaded so insurgents couldn't get in) overlooking the Euphrates river and a mile upstream there are a bunch of hajis trying to cross the river into the city by floating on beach balls, so he drowns them by popping the floaties. Such a hilarious, absurd image
