If the brain emmenates conciousness this is impossible though, it would have to be a hallucination or lucky guess when they "see" something they have no way of knowing. Thats why this is bullshit, because its not verifiable. Or else id be able to do it right now and tell everyone what you are wearing.

the next step is, what are dreams? Failing to prove that the brain doesnt emmenate consciousness, dreams are also just "home movies" for what you already believe so... Bit of circular logic.

Its on you to prove there is an outside link from the brain to consciousness otherwise its all circular logic based on visions, the visions are akin to dreams, dreams are emanating from the mind until proven that consciousness does not derive from the brain. Is this easy enough for you to follow or should I get more specific?
So If I join the CIA and then after retirement write a book whistleblowing UFOs thats legitamate too and to be trusted 100%? Because people do that, and by your logic here they are not using circular logic but truth telling their legitamate experiences.

                Anonymous

That is absolutely the wrong application of heisenberg. He spoke on particles, not coins. Observation of a coin toss will not change the results. You want to get into chaos theory if you're concerned with imperfections and the true nature of a 50/50 odd being slightly skewed one way or the other.

The real application of "psychic" powers in coin tossing isn't reading the coin, but reading the tosser. You do want the coin observed by someone to read their face or mannerisms to get a hint of heads or tails. It's a real world practically applying science. Look up Marc Salem, he is a very good at it.

It is not in fact very well known if you go to any room full of people and take a poll most people will not agree on the premise that the brain is not the source of conciousness, most people even christians believe otherwise until convinced. All modern science, all textbooks are not written from this premise.

I'm not saying it's correct, but it is a very well known idea. And furthermore I don't see why, even if the brain was the source of consciousness, and you also believe in an immortal soul, why that would make out of body experiences impossible.

You have it backwards, its "the immortal soul" that is incompatible with the brain as conciousness. So you have adpotded some kind of new age hippie view that works with the modern scientific model of the brain. And if you dont see how that makes out of body experiences unreliable or at most advanced hallucinations then you are a moron. I never brought those up, idk if you were talking to another anon itt about those kinds of experiences, but my view is its possible but not what YOU think it is under the model that the brain emanates consciousness. It's hell here unless you have a wife and a house. So we're pretty confused overall with why we can't leave without a gunshot to the head. Signing out sounds like a better deal a lot of the time than the slavery we get and the castration. Highly studied researchers think this may be a loosh farm. Because of gods omnipotence, you can meet lots of pieces of shit who met him. So if you don't have a wife, he's stealing your loosh. Pieces of shit who have wives may not even be real pussies. It's all like a trick designed to torture us. We don't know for sure our value. We might actually be worthless pieces of shit. Or maybe we're super rare for his hunger.

your perception of torture is based on the advancement of time, heaven is timeless and exists outside of time. So really, even by that logic, the quote is still valid as it pertains to existence in time.

Singing in church was always the most boring and tedious part of every church service, the idea of spending eternity singing hymns like that was absolutely terrifying, as bad as the descriptions of hell tbh

The internet has cemented contrarianism as the cycle of cultural life. If something is popular now, it’s almost guaranteed to be popularly hated 6 months from now. This has bled into societies acceptance of the scientific community. From 90s up until late 2010s science was on a pedestal with Bill Nye, “yeah science b***h”, and all nerd culture of the internet. Now the tides are shifting and, social media creating a cesspool for misinformation, pseudoscience is running rampant.

I’m sure it has nothing to do with the scientific community brazenly selling out and shilling propaganda for 2 years straight and ridiculed and deplatformed anyone who disagreed with the state sponsored consensus, only to backtrack all their messaging when the “science changed”

They did that but nothing seems to have come of it. They couldn't/didn't/refused to use such devices during the "summer of love" when saint floyd of the fentanyl ascended. Did they decided these weapons don't work, or are they too effective to be used as non-lethal crowd control weapons?

            Anonymous

Microwave weapons have been developed and tested in the field. While technically non-lethal they can cause permanent skin and eye damage which makes bad press. So don't expect to see them used en masse unless the government feels it's back is against the wall during the day of rope. Sonic weapons are anouther options but again causing hearing loss and heart attacks isn't a good look. Interestingly both weapons were developed in the states but give to israel for initial field testing on the pallies.

Making up apocalypse plans aren't a waste because they aren't made under the belief that zombies or Waterworld would actually happen, that's just a way to make the eggheads think outside the box and come up with novel ideas for the situations the government does expect to happen. Like massive amounts of climate refugees showing up at the border in huge clusters, just like a roaming horde of zombies, where you won't be authorised to use regular military tactics to kill them all. Or zombie apocalypse bases, that are really just self-sustaining military outposts in territories filled with hostile civilians, such as might happen in climate refugee containment zones or at FEMA camps for various other disasters, where they don't have any weapons to fight back on a military level but they greatly outnumber the armed military personnel and could breach defences with enough numbers if they become panicked or angry enough.

People get squeamish coming up with ideas of how the military can handle large amounts of unarmed civilians or kill them, telling them that they're making up plans against a zombie apocalypse removes that hang-up.
