My school books got destroyed regularly and my parents beat me up for it because I "didn't take care of my books". We were rather poor and the books were pretty expensive.

I blamed my parents. My parents had me in their late 30's making me born muscularly weak. I was abused verbally by my mother nearly every day from atleast the age of 3 and occasionally physically abused, nothing sexual just violent. My dad was a spineless cuck who got a job doing the same entry level garbage you could hire any 20 year old for, I don't think he has a high school degree, no ambitions, hobbies or skills. They divorced when I was 8. Throughout late elementary through all of middle school I was bullied every single day. My upbringing had made me weak, nervous, neurotic even, and in a sea of kids that want to find someone to step on a kid like me stood out. I blame the lack of parental guidance for this.
It wasn't until years later in my mid 20's I realized just how fricked of a childhood and adolescent period I'd had. I worked out, got jobs. Cut off my parents. If I had been a sociopath or maybe if I hadn't gotten laid in HS I probably would have turned into a complete monster dead set on hurting others.

i went to high school in the 90's. middle school was peak bully time but after that most people chilled out a bit. there were skaters, jocks, "buttrockers", normals, and the occasional small group of MTG players. most had someone they were "cool with" in some of the other groups but they were pretty well segregated.
