John Wick fills a relatively underserviced niche, they want to cash in on it but can't lean on Wick himself because Keanu is 60 years old and his characters story was already starting to feel pretty spent before they killed him off

Len Wiseman is a decent director, but rhe action scenes in movies are by second unit directors. For example, Sam Mendes didn't shoot the action scenes in Skyfall. That was Alexander Witt.
Some capeshitter said they'll probably delay Sony's "Venom 3" (2024) to space out their films more. And I told him, if you push out a film nowadays, the immediate and only fan reaction will be that it sucks and you're trying to fix it.
