Idk it had lost steam after the first 10 or 12 issues, 25 was the pinnacle and after that it fell off a cliff. Not awful but all in all it’s massively overrated by people searching for highlights in an industry inundated with perpetual lowlights. 1-24 would be a 7/10, 25 was a 10/10, everything after fell to 6/10. Ewing, like Hickman, isn’t a guy meant for ongoing comics.

Still, he’s mostly a better writer than the majority of the ongoing writers these days so I shouldn’t deny that. I just rate most modern comics much, MUCH, lower than 6 or 7 out of 10.

      In fairness, who is?

I suspect this is bait to get me to say a few names you’ll naysay so I won’t participate in that.

          That's a bit cynical.

      >Ewing, like Hickman, isn’t a guy meant for ongoing comics

Hickman wrote ff4 and avengers which both ran about 3 - 4 years. If you mean Claremont spending 16 years on x-men then I would agree no one really seems up to that.

His FF is truly terrible, it being good is a marketing meme like Snyder’s Batman or king’s Up Up and Away being anything but dogshit. I don’t give a frick about avengers at all but judging by his FF he’s not going to be the run I would start with.

        >Claremont spending 16 years
No that’s not at all what I mean. Why would length of a run have anything to do with it? Frankly Claremont overstayed his welcome by about 5 years and I don’t particularly like writers lording over characters for too long. 5-8 years is by far long enough. This isn’t manga, they don’t own the characters and the longer someone is on a book the more they feel as if they own it. Look at slott’s fat ass thinking he’s an authority on Spider-Man or She-hulk just because of the length of his runs as if anybody thinks of him as a seminal run on either.

I’m speaking specifically of how he’s (like many modern writers two of which I’ve mentioned) all ideas no substance. Hell as much as Slott sucks he’s got more issue to issue ability and is a better ongoing writer than Ewing or Hickman or Snyder. And no I’m not going to sit here and be called Slott after saying he sucks, I’m merely saying you homosexuals who cling to the three listed there are generally casuals who haven’t read any other comics than their fanfic their trash.

      He's really not.

Just like my comments on Slott just now my comment there is not a positive comment. It’s a negative reflection of the state of the industry. Why is everyone on this site incapable of reading contextually? You all take everything directly with zero consideration of comparison or context. As if you’re all painfully autistic.

Yes, I got that. My comment is also a negative reflection of the state of the industry if this hack is considered better than average. Because he's not.

How can anyone think that this is scary for real ? How can anyone take seriously a horror book with the Hulk as a supposed to be frightening monster ? How can anyone see the Hulk as frightening for real in this book ?
"Ouh, the Hulk is smiling, so unsetlling, this is so scary guys..." why are you lying to yourself like that ?
You guys are just forcing onto yourself the new fade there will be in this hivemind of a board, with the blandest, tamest, most classicly safe comic book there can be, while your selective outrage is shitting on Bendis' Superman for things that would be praised if they were written by someone else, but NOOOOOOOOOOOO you have to shit on it even if it's good because the hivemind dictates you to do so !!!

No wonder you can't get laid, but guess what ? I got a girlfriend now. For the first time of my life after 24 years I finally got a girlfriend, and all that nerd fuss has become so irritating since.
I'm just leaving for good now, I had plenty of fun with that board but I'm done. I wish you to get girlfriends to, maybe it will open your eyes about the hivemind that is destructing your self, but sadly, the hivemind is probably keeping you away from being able to seduce anyone, so you're most likely trapped in a vicious circle, and sadly, there is no Savage Dragon to save you from it. I just hope that this message will maybe help you to think by yourself a bit more and to get a girlfriend to.

    Enjoy your book.
