I mean, you don't get nominated for shit without being at least pretty good.
t. never watched it
Star wars was supposed to be a space fantasy movie with deep underlying themes, not Schindler's list with no themes or depth.
Except the series has slavery and fascist regimes. Wars and terrorism.
It won biggest piece of shit.
*actual chuckles of the verbal kind
I had no interest in it since that guy in top left stars in it.
Terrible actor. Total gay.
This. Tired of seeing Top Left homosexual c**t actor in any movie.
That's not Pedro Pascal you know
Yeah it is
>this is getting out of hand. now there are two of them!
Andor will always be a cult classic
Doubt it. It's neither intelligent, nor creative and worst of all it's boring.
This. How the frick anyone claims it's deep is beyond me. It has the worst pretend political writing I've seen along with just absolutely shit characters and plotting.
Found the fascists.
Wait, how the hell is an I-Class ISD hovering in atmosphere? How the frick is this even possible? They're too massive to sustain flight under gravity, hence why they're built in space.
it's not hovering it's just a picture
Every single NuWars product has raped the formerly consistent logic of Star Wars space travel
>Every single NuWars product has raped the formerly consistent logic of Star Wars space travel
andor didnt
Uhhh.. prequelbros?
Venator-Class dreadnoughts were nowhere near as massive as ISDs. They could freely land on and/or takeoff from any feasible surface. They're not comparable.
>nowhere near
>proving his point
What point? None of those would be able to sustain flight under gravity if you applied real life logic and physics
do you have even the slightest notion of how much of a DISGUSTING homosexual you sound like right now?
>do you have even the slightest notion of how much of a DISGUSTING homosexual you sound like right now?
thats different small transport in ep2. bigger venator appears later in ep3 and you can see it on the ground in kashyyk scenes
Those are Acclimators
Shut the frick up nerds.
Literally nobody cares. If you showed this to George Lucas he wouldn't notice something is wrong and if you'd point it out to him he would just say "whatever".
Yeah who cares. Can't wait to see Ahsoka use the force to jump into space from a planet surface.
Ahsoka can force jump onto my wiener like the lil bawd prostitute SHE IS
its flyby in andor I think but its hovering in rogue one and ahsoka
also dont forget entire fleet take off through ground in ep9
in short, disney dont give a shit
We saw vendors in atmosphere in ROTS, there's no reason an ISD couldn't do the same with better tech at their disposal
not just atmosphere but they are designed to deploy massive clone armies ofc. isd cant... it just cant, okay? and then empire also scrapped all the venators despite their useful capabilities because... idk
Mass effect fields, it's canon.
>Mass effect fields, it's canon.
kek
Even ME3 ruined its own lore.
>Last of us won over andor, the crown, hotd and yellowjacket
Holy based
Seriously? I absolutely LOVED the scene where Cassian, Nazi Mormon and Glup Shitto all sit together and watch paint dry
No one complained about Star Destroyers being in the atmosphere in the original Star Wars Battlefront games
Yeah, because those were VIDEO GAMES, not actual art like Episodes II and III, moron.
>wtf a spaceship on a sci-fi movie is flying inside a planet, LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE
Depends on mass, buddy. The idea of an ISD in-atmosphere is about as mouth-breathingly-moronic as the Alliance Dreadnoughts engaging a Sovereign-class Reaper from Mass Effect 3.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=Rk6sSFgHX-I
Your post has autism. It's an airship, its purpose is to fly and that's it.
>airship
It doesn't run on actual "air" however, so that's just a dumb assessment.
>Best Star Wars story
It was about as Star Wars as Lower Decks... who the frick was saying that shirt?
>corporate product isn’t art
More news at 5
TLJ bros, we won.
Frick off, beta male.
but he was never the last jedi
That's the point Einstein, he was and then wasn't.
Pathetic response from an obvious conservative.
>he was and then wasn't.
Rian's subversion schtick in a nutshell.
Or maybe there was no subversion and you're pathetic for constantly acting as if the movie raped you for giving Luke character development.
>giving Luke character development
Were you upset Mark Hamill gave such a great performance it looks like he isn't even trying and has not much to work with in the originals.
Wait. Address the point.
"pass on what you have learned" being a showcased theme in The Last Jedi is Rian subversion? The absolute state.
You're ugly and low-T. I don't even care about Luke, the movie is an abomination with shit like Rose and Holdo and space Leia. It's just really unpleasant to the eye.
>women trigger me it's an abomination
Filtered
Ugly nagging ones, yeah.
This is a better shot than anything in the prequels
No, lmao. Rian's color grading is disgusting. Also an abhorrent costume design.
>woman with clothing covering mouth
Wow.
So deep.
The concept of "Passing the Torch" is one of the oldest storytelling narratives in history, and it can be done right under better conditions which don't insult the audience. What Rian did was blatantly malicious + more in line with Hollywood's hellbent plan on destroying legacy IP for the sake of inserting as much ESG/DEI agitprop as possible. If you don't see that, go frick yourself.
Yeah, the story points themselves aren't even terrible but the execution is undignified (as is Rian). But the guy you're arguing with is a libtard in 2024, so he is neither very bright nor does he have a grasp on reality whatsoever.
DUDE BASED MAGA 2024
OWN THE LIBTARDS
Yes. Trump will win and zoomers will make sure this time he won't keep snakes as confidants.
>blatantly malicious
If you are a fragile b***h. It's the best movie with the strongest acting by far.
Proof?
My eyes. Try rewatching the movies and not being cucked to nostalgia.
>My eyes
Are you moronic?
Are you? There are choice scenes in the movie that have superior acting to anything in the other trilogies.
Libtards have poor eyesight and are also really ugly people in general.
>giving Luke character development
Confirmed for having never watched the OT.
I'm an authoritarian, not a cuckservative. Also, I bet you're ugly.
There absolutely was subversion. The movie starts with a "your mom" joke and constantly quotes Spaceballs.
Andor? More like Andor am I right
and/or
Andor sucks and is just grimdark bullshit made by an unironic Hollywood Stalinist.
andor fricking sucked, but for different reasons from obiwan or ashoka other trash they put out
Andor wasn't made to win Emmys; it was made the bring hope to the hopeless.
the show is truly based with its message about killing nazi chuds
Andor was kino
If it wasn't for the X-Wings, I wouldn't have known it was Star Wars.
They forgot to add color grading to the raw footage
>this bland but technically sound shot makes it kino
yeah the landscapes and some sets, thats bout it
did Ahsoka win anything?
Good, no Disney+ slop deserves to get an Emmy
It's not that deep politically, but Andor has pretty good characters and plotting. It's the most competent writing Star Wars has had outside of some animated show episodes here and there.
Nothing you said is true, it's absolutely trash all around. It's boring shit.
it will always be shit you homosexual shill
Seven years later and gays are still upset about a joke in the beginning of Johnson's movie. I guess there wasn't enough Jar Jar stepping in shit for the patrician audience.
>gays
Those are on your team.
the shill campaign for this show was insane, it might have worked if they didnt use Jeets to do it
that it was nominated is its own reward. the genre never wins any of the big goys awards.
Andor was good and I hate NuWars shlop. You have to be a pretty big hater to say it was anything less than 6.5/10.
>You have to be a pretty big hater to say it was anything less than 6.5/10.
That rating's fine by me but it still isn't much of a Star Wars show.
Like all other supplemental SW media after Lucas bailed, Andor suffers from existing under the banner of Disney (who made the dogshit prequels) so even when something good comes out, most people won't give it a shot because of the associated stigma.
Andor wasn't good enough to win shit though. The show's attempts to be sincere were respectable but clumsy. It was ok, not great.
I meant the dogshit sequels* obviously.
Well they were also dog shit so you were half right.
>sincere
Sincerely Stalinist?
star wars will always be a trash franchise with or without lucas. The franchise was only rated positively in the 80s before lucas fricked it up. Its a shit franchise and has a shit fanbase.
It's better than any Star Wars series or movie save for the OT.
Wait seriously, why does Andor make people on this board so angry? It wasn't great, or very unique, but it actually was decently made and written with a coherent plot and okay characters, which is entirely unlike the rest of nuWars. You could tell they had a plan for the plot and executed it, it didn't seem to devolve into side characters and attempts at sequel redemption the way Mandalorian has.
The complaints ITT are all silly, like oh it looks bland, oh it isn't Star Wars-y enough... Okay? Yeah it's bland, it's a Disney+ show using nuLucasfilm design teams held back only by the time period it was set in requiring the use of the original good designs. The colors? Who cares, why does it have to be bright and cartoony? This isn't Rebels... Washed out is overused sure, but it sets the tone of the show fine enough. Not enough fantasy elements? But most people hate the other Disney shows because they focus too much on Jedi vs Sith and the Force. The old EU was full of stories about non-superpowered humans going on adventures, look at the Rogue Squadron comics... Not everyone in the setting is a badass bounty hunter or Force wielder or Senator, lots of stories can be told from a relatively grounded aspect about these kinds of everyman Rebel recruits and not be a "wrong" way to use the setting.
It's weird, too, because the only other people I see online truly shitting on Andor are unironic sequel apologists and Filoni's shills.
>unironic sequel apologists
More than enough on this board.
I suppose that's expected by now. Most fans of the real Star Wars fricked off and stopped caring a long time ago, so the only "people" who enter threads are trolls, shills and goyslop lovers.
>reddit spacing
Considering it's redditgays that dislike Andor because it wasn't colorful enough and there weren't any laser swords, I thought it would make my post easier to parse for you.
There's zero spirituality in Blandor. Soulless commie slop.
Shills were really obnoxious about this mid show.
>Wait seriously, why does Andor make people on this board so angry?
The sequels. They murdered Star Wars for so many people that the only way to get them back on board would be decanonizing all of it, or just burning the new era to the ground. Some people wouldn't even be satisfied with that and are simply forever going to hate Star Wars from now on.
Also people don't actually know the hierarchy and think it's all the same few people making all the recent Star Wars media. While some of the most pathetic projects like Kenobi or Boba Fett certainly were made by the main LucasFilm core (Lynwen Brennan, Carrie Beck, Kathleen Kennedy, Momita SenGupta, Dave Filoni etc.), projects like Andor were made by Tony Gilroy who isn't really part of that. That's why Andor, even if you'd argue is shit, certainly feels different from the other shows. But good luck trying to explain that to people who are convinced Kathleen Kennedy writes all the shows, the books, the games.
>Some people wouldn't even be satisfied with that and are simply forever going to hate Star Wars from now on.
I get that, personally. I won't pay for or watch anything they make on my own. I watched Andor only because my dad wanted to watch it with me.
Still, I've long passed the point of caring, Star Wars is dead to me, ended in 2013 when it was sold, but I don't have enough energy to get angry about the new slop they push out. The sequels broke me and now I can just sit through their shit and laugh at how bad it is, knowing that the real Star Wars I grew up on is still right there on my shelves and ended a decade ago
yeah something in the fandom just snapped forever once the dust after TLJ settled and it can't really be reversed
your best bet is to just hyperfocus on the stuff you like and pretend the sequels don't exist (which actually isn't that difficult considering most of the recent stuff avoids the sequel timeline lol)
>the prequels murdered star wars
>no the sequels murdered star wars
Sequels were even better films than the prequels, much better. Kek.
>but it actually was decently made and written
No it isn't. Every single character is boring as dirt and so is the entire plotting. The writing feels like a high school political writing exercise only worse.
>b-but it cost a quarter billion to make (no joke) and it has le epic what I sacrifice monologue
I will not argue that the characters are deep and interesting, because they aren't. It is a very safe, boring way of writing. But it's paced well, the dialogue isn't cringe-inducing, and it entertains as well as any pay-cable TV show you'd watch midday while cooking.
It's inoffensively boring, and that's legitimately a high watermark for the awful nuWars, which runs the gamut from painful to insulting otherwise.
>But it's paced well
No. The Mom Momma divorce stuff was super obnoxious, as were the entire first 3 episodes.
Labor camp shit was cringe and tedious too.
This.
>hurr durr communism gud, fascism baaaaaaad
>what the rebels need is more diversity against the empire's adversity
>did you know I kill Imperialists on a daily basis, lad? I even enjoy punching them in the face!
>I wear the rebel patch as a badge of honor against supremacist tyranny!
>most of the rebels are racially diverse humans with very little in terms of aliens
>lightsaber ship
It's so fricking dumb, but its "grimdark", so it's """good""".
>as were the entire first 3 episodes.
Lol it shows you never watched more than the first 3 episodes you fricking nitwit.
And you didn't watch it at all.
>lowest-viewed Star Wars on Disney Plus
lol get fricked, troon.
Common Trandor pseud L.
>in Blandor world we live and die to become bricks in our shithouse's walls
goyslop
Black people in Star Wars?
That has never happened before...Empires Strikes Back
I guess Star Wars was always pozzed
Why does he have an AK-47?
everybody hates the devil mouse, including their own servants
All 12 of it's viewers are stunned.
Doomwienered
Ahsoka > Andor
I have spoken.
Maybe it would've won if any one watched.
