      What's the difference between NC-17 and R?

        Anonymous

The former is in North Carolina, the latter isn't region-locked

        Anonymous

R means anyone under 17 can see it as long as it's with a parent
NC-17 is no one under 17 at all
at least that's how i think it goes, i can't remember the last time an NC-17 film had a broad theatrical release

          Anonymous

I think it's the other way around:
          R = Restricted to over 17
NC-17 = Not recommended for children under 17
Parents can accompany children to "not recommended" films but not with films that are restricted.

            Anonymous

Nah, the other guy was right, NC-17 is the highest rating possible, but a lot of NC-17 films get edited down into R in post-production (Wolf of Wall Street for example)
Blonde is unedited and staying NC-17 which is incredibly rare if you look at this list

Mary is literally a saint and is one of the most important religious figures her stroy is as of any other major biblical figure.
Grace of Monaco I've never seen, I don't think anyone watched that, wasn't it a failure?
Never knew they made a film about her, but her involvement in the trial is major, the banality of evil is now a household concept, and really you can't actually make a biopic about her ignoring the trial.
Greta doc was just green propaganda.
