Not really his fault. WBD couldn't see the value in Infinity Train as an IP and most other studios are similarly averse to investing in original ideas. Making an Among Us cartoon is about as good as it can get right now.
>thing gets popular >zoomers enjoy it for a couple of weeks or months >a year later the mainstream finds out >suits say they need to make money on it >get their team to come up with something >team has something a year later >suits say go >product ready 2-3 years later >zoomers are now nostalgic for 5 year old thing
There was a pretty popular Among Us crossover dlc for vampire Survivors late last year, and the latter’s still as strong as ever. It’s never gonna be pandemic era popular again, but it’s clearly alive and well.
>original lotr and star wars trilogy are considered the most iconic films of all time >years later they both have prequel trilogies that aren't good >even more years later they both have new stuff made of it that is even worse than the prequel trilogies >both have people pretending the prequel trilogies were always good just because the new stuff is even worse
oh my god
All the "content" of the game is people interaction. If they play it as comedy murder mystery of sorts it could work, exactly because It can be whatever they want it to be.
Honestly, it's likely to be shit due to crap writing, not because of the premise.
This might be the most cynical thing I've seen all year.
Elijah Wood must be desperate for cash if he's wasting his time with this shit, especially considering his career's trajectory over the last decade.
Simple: use the source as a skin to tell the story you really want. I doubt there's anything that requires the story to be set in the Among Us universe
Amogus can be whatever it wants to be with shit like https://youtu.be/7mCd_wuwcmA?si=e14yJsizh_XysrB6
At the very least, it can be a comedy thriller where we find who the imposter is it's gonna be Elijah Woods
The Skeld takes off from MIRA HQ, lands on Polus, picks up an Imposter, crashes in the Fungle. Bing bang boom, next thing ya know ya got The Thing for kids as the crew try to find out who dun did it before they all get got.
Maybe I'm in the minority but to me the setting of Among Us seems perfect for a mid-tier sitcom or episodic plot type of cartoon. Specifically a mid-tier cartoon for kids, which is what most cartoons are, and what this will probably be also.
>get VAs behind Wirt and Tulip >get Owen Dennis to run your show >your show is about a meme that died years ago, produced in the year of our Lord 2024, by fricking Netflix
those look like nfts
>Going from Infinity Train to this
Weird
He deserves it after Book 3
A job is a job. Animation is slim pickings these days.
Cool that Owen brought along Ashley with him
Not really his fault. WBD couldn't see the value in Infinity Train as an IP and most other studios are similarly averse to investing in original ideas. Making an Among Us cartoon is about as good as it can get right now.
Infinity Train waifugays are a special type of annoying.
No fricking way there's a guy whose surname is Titmouse.
>purple's in a security guard uniform
hah....
>Brown as Orange
Sus?
who will be the impostor
3 years too late. Fads are too short-lived nowadays, if you don't cash-in the second you become popular you shouldn't bother.
>thing gets popular

Why would they waste money getting A-list talent like Elijah Wood to voice a fricking amogus?
he probably likes the game, didn't he go viral for joining a random person's animal crossing town
>A-list talent like Elijah Wood
Ehhhh... He's kind of like Mark Hamil. He was in something really fricking big, but kind of just did TV after it.
>original lotr and star wars trilogy are considered the most iconic films of all time

Star Wars prequel revisionism is fueled by Genndy and Filoni's cartoons fleshing out the setting and storyline.
I've literally never seen anyone try and claim that the Hobbit movies were actually good, if anything their reputation's only soured over time.
Is there enough content in the game for an animated series?
Aren't the rounds of the game very short?
All the "content" of the game is people interaction. If they play it as comedy murder mystery of sorts it could work, exactly because It can be whatever they want it to be.
Honestly, it's likely to be shit due to crap writing, not because of the premise.
How many seasons do you think it'll last?
8 episodes tops.
i have nothing to support in the industry at this point
Should save you the money and the headache, no?
I prefer Rodamrix's Among Us animations
will rocktrow make a cameo?
will amogus show up?
Among Us is based and I'm tired of pretending it's not
>No career voice actors
This is already doomed.
Ashley Johnson's done more voice acting than on-camera.
This is going to have one of the most annoying fanbases of all time. Screencap this.
Nah, no one's gonna give a shit about it. You're just old and jaded
woah look at this amazing character depth they must got some really good writers on this show!!
The rise in amogus porn will be legendary...
Why would it?
THe first amogus didn't have much rule 34. Why would THIS be any different?
They should get drake and josh to guest star
Where is this from?
https://www.innersloth.com/voice-cast-for-the-among-us-animated-series-round-1/
>Elijah Wood
Wasn’t he supposed to be voicing a character in that upcoming Animal Crossing anime?
>among us cartoon
ok boomer
amogus
Animated by Andy Warhol?
>Elijah Wood as Green
He's forever typecast as Frodo, damn
This might be the most cynical thing I've seen all year.
Elijah Wood must be desperate for cash if he's wasting his time with this shit, especially considering his career's trajectory over the last decade.
I don't think you understand what cynical means; actually you are being extremely cynical, not the idea of a cartoon that missed the right timing.
How does one make an Among Us series unless it's a shitload of 2-3 minute shorts where everyone dies in a weird way at the end of them all?
Simple: use the source as a skin to tell the story you really want. I doubt there's anything that requires the story to be set in the Among Us universe
>use the source as a skin to tell the story you really want
>Owen Dennis
Yep, it's gonna be shit then
Amogus can be whatever it wants to be with shit like https://youtu.be/7mCd_wuwcmA?si=e14yJsizh_XysrB6

Who wanna bet purple is the imposter?
Green looks like Vinny Vinesauce.
no, he looks like scruffy
the janitor?
Everyone involved with this should be executed. Including the janitor.
Guys, we found the impostor
kind of beating a dead horse at this point, nobody even memes about it even ironically anymore.
>2024
>still no Undertale cartoon
What did we do to deserve this?
I don't think Toby would have the time for that, and he probably doesn't wanna sell out his life's work.
Maybe I'm in the minority but to me the setting of Among Us seems perfect for a mid-tier sitcom or episodic plot type of cartoon. Specifically a mid-tier cartoon for kids, which is what most cartoons are, and what this will probably be also.
