The trailer clearly had 3D and the animation/art direction looked like it was made by Kyotroony. Why are you excited by this? The delays should worry you.
Denji is objectively a cool looking character when in chainsaw mode and it seems pretty easy to do since all you need is the weird chainsaw head and a normal set of clothes. I bet most of the cosplayers haven't read the manga though, Pah-wah best girl.
It has its moments, also the author is willing to kill off major characters and its genuinely unexpected when people die so I have to give him credit for that. Seeing as the last big shonen were My Hero Academia and Attack on Titan, both of which are absolute garbage, Chainsaw Man is a big step up.
Never saw FMA 2003, I usually read the manga rather than watching the anime if that option is available. Compared to the FMA manga, Chainsawman is less conventional in its story structure and FMA is much more lighthearted. They are both pretty good however.
