Back when Scott was hanging out with the Fantastic Four, the team traveled back in time to the early days of the Silver Age and encountered their past selves but a fight ensued and Scott calls for back up but since he's in the past guess who intercepted the distress signal.
The ending of that issue made me feel sad because Past Reed and Sue die and this was published in the same year Jack Kirby died and the last page is dedicated to him
Hank Pym is a case where the many creative decisions that were made to his character through the long history of Marvel Comics just turned him into a far more complex character than he was originally conceived, so part of the appeal is to see him go through this weird journey of the many different facets of his life as he tries to find a place in the larger universe. Hence a huge chunk of his story is told in the Avengers book.
The most good entry level with him is the EMH cartoon, but the originals are a fun read

Scott Lang is straightforward character, he's an ex-con that tries to redeem himself by being a superhero while trying to make ends meet for his daughter. If Hank is the more "grandiose" Ant-Man by virtue of being an incredible super scientist, Scott is the street level Ant-Man and his best stories are usually the ones that focus on his relationship with Cassie as both father and hero. The MCU might be a mixed bag in general but the first Ant-Man movie does capture the core of the character, and while his modern comics obviously draw inspiration from the tone of the movies I also see that as the result of having a consistent foundation to draw upon. Also, EMH tells another good version of his origin story.
Scott Lang is a more Marvel-like character compared to Hank Pym. Characters like Hank and the F4 are much too DC-like. They’re not flawed or grounded enough to fit “the world outside your window” that is the Marvel U. They’re also way too geeky. Lang is the Ant-Man for the common man.
He’s better because his story’s better. A divorced ex-con who just wants to be a good dad to his daughter is a much more compelling and relatable story than whatever Hank’s got.

Morrison is the best at what he does no doubt but Ewing is better when it comes to writing character driven stories or at least his characters feel more human.

As someone that enjoys both I don't think is fair to compare them to claim one is better than the other since they are too different as characters.
Stan Lee once said that Ant-Man was the one character he felt had a lot of potential but, unfortunately was never able to do him justice back in the day.
You could make the same argument about most other Marvel marriages, but in most of those cases their fans WANT them back together. With Hank and Jan it's more complicated because any time they're together it's just a matter of time before some writer brings the slap up again and ruins what they have. Hank would be safer with someone else, but he deserves better than a loose furry like Tigra.
He'd probably be healthiest with a normie civilian woman, but it's comics, she wouldn't stand a chance of staying a normie civilian. Maybe he and Firebird should try again.

It was a decent first issue. Daredevil being a priest is an interesting new twist on things, but the amnesia stuff is a bit hokey and it feels bogged down by a lot of leftovers from Zdarsky's run with the Hell stuff and Elektra-Daredevil

The lengths Slott went to in trying to retcon She-Hulk/Juggernaut away were ridiculous, and it got made canon again immediately after he was no longer writing the book.
I'm torn because I liked him with Greer but I also like her with Moon Knight. And I prefer Jan with Havok, though obviously that'll never happen with the current crop of X-Writers who hate the Remender run on Uncanny Avengers and want to memoryhole everything that happened in it.

The most recent one, the Ant-iversary, came out last year to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the character. Every Ant-Man gets their own issue while introducing a new Ant-Man from the future.
Eric O'Grady is my favorite Ant-Man. Love his run from the original Kirkman series through Thunderbolts. Also Avengers Initiative, right? Where he makes friends with Taskmaster.
Hopefully some considerate creator fixes his situation in the future.

Crazy bearded old man hermit Hank and O'Grady with some sort of brain problems. For some reason they're experimenting on imprisoned supervillains. An unintended side effect of this is turning Whirlwind into Victor Shade.
It beats Whirlwind coming back as a Krakoa clone, and it beats Wonderman because it's not Wonderman. There'll have to be a good reason why Whirlwind would use Vision's old secret ID, or why he'd even know about it. Didn't he used to be terrified of Vision?
That's part of the reason of why they even wrote the story arc of him going insane with his Yellowjacket persona, didn't have much idea what to do with him.

With Hank and Jan it's more complicated because any time they're together it's just a matter of time before some writer brings the slap up again and ruins what they have. It was a decent first issue. Daredevil being a priest is an interesting new twist on things, but the amnesia stuff is a bit hokey and it feels bogged down by a lot of leftovers from Zdarsky's run with the Hell stuff and Elektra-Daredevil

I'm torn because I liked him with Greer but I also like her with Moon Knight. And I prefer Jan with Havok, though obviously that'll never happen with the current crop of X-Writers who hate the Remender run on Uncanny Avengers and want to memoryhole everything that happened in it.

I get that they spent like and unseen decade together that led to them having a kid, but off panel romances are the ones that get easily axed.
Jan and Alex briefly hooking up while they were on the same team isn't a problem, that's just the kind of people they are, and the same for Jan really going for it with so much enthusiasm. The problem was Remender trying to move the relationship to something serious and lasting entirely off-panel via a time-skip. Nobody was invested in that at all, so nobody since has even referenced it.
Years from now some continuity autist writer will remember this story and bring back an adult version of the kid as yet another child Kang stole and raised to fight their parents.

Eric O'Grady is my favorite Ant-Man. Love his run from the original Kirkman series through Thunderbolts. Also Avengers Initiative, right? Where he makes friends with Taskmaster.

Crazy bearded old man hermit Hank and O'Grady with some sort of brain problems. For some reason they're experimenting on imprisoned supervillains. An unintended side effect of this is turning Whirlwind into Victor Shade.
I was wondering if Shade was Whirlwind after the end of Ewing's Wasp mini, but that was a more boring answer than Pym or Wonder Man.
It beats Whirlwind coming back as a Krakoa clone, and it beats Wonderman because it's not Wonderman. There'll have to be a good reason why Whirlwind would use Vision's old secret ID, or why he'd even know about it. Didn't he used to be terrified of Vision?
