Or just a shout-out. Jack was a lot more well known when it first started, since it hit a new level of edge previously unseen in furry webcomics. It faded out in popular knowledge though, since far more edgy stuff has come along since. I remember one artist had a series about some genetically created or modified unique furry character that worked as a doctor who used her position to harvest meat and organs from the dead(or soon to be dead) to eat. I distinctly remember one comic about her and some other doctor using maggots to remove necrotic tissue from a patient without anesthesia they had strapped down in some abandoned building. Last I checked, the artist nuked everything.

Omaha is one of the only adult comics that has straight out pornography in it but I think still elevates itself to the point of being legitimate art. Not sure how it struck they balance. Might just be a product of when it came out. Stuff in the 70s, 80s, and into the 90s managed to occasionally be X-rated and artistic. Good luck finding anything like that these days.
