Stops reviewers from giving bad reviews before the game is out, thus stopping people from buying the game based on reviews. WB is now hoping people will blind buy the game before they see reviews.
You know how previews usually softball game impressions and are generally more positive than the actual reviews? NOT FOR THIS GAME. First impressions are already negative. How do you do that?
Generally, you don't put the review embargo at launch (as opposed to shortly before) unless you're worried about what those reviews might say. On the other hands, reviews by game journalists are less than worthless and often actively misleading, so it's a crapshoot. OP is just speculating, but given the history of mismanagement and the genre I wouldn't be suprised if he turns out to be correct.
>On the other hands, reviews by game journalists are less than worthless
Among people who know better than to trust gaming journalists, yes. But the world at large doesn’t see it that way, giant publications like IGN is only seen as a joke by select people who see through their bullshit, meanwhile in reality IGN is huge network who’s over 25 years old which amassed so much influence that all big game publishers make sure to send any and all material for them to get exclusive previews and reviews out as soon as possible because the masses still listen what IGN has to say.
In recent years even big youtubers have grown to be just as a incestous with publishers and are willing to say anything they are told to in order to keep their access with publishers.
I feel like I'm trapped in a perpetual hell where any and all Superman game discussion devolves into an argument between casuals/shitposters and actual comic readers debating how it would work.
A Superman game isn't hard, stop complicating it. And yes, people want it. I just pray Wonder Woman is good
What's more damning is that the gameplay doesn't even feel like Suicide Squad, just Division with a DC skin. Yes, not even Destiny based. That'a how dull it looks.
Having this be it's own thing is one thing, but shackling this to the Arkham universe, a universe normalgays fricking love, and basically destroying that universe with this game's entire premise is fricking insane to me even for a soulless corporation.
The problem isn't that he's strong
The problem isn't even that he's invulnerable to almost every type of harm
The problem is that HE'S FASTER THAN LIGHT AND CAN REACT TO THINGS THAT HAPPEN FASTER THAN LIGHT
That's something you cannot design around as a game creator
Only way to handle that is to just make it so that Superman doesn't have some of his most central powers
yet they've released two games about Spider-Man, the man whose power is he is not only able to react at incredible speeds, but also has a 360 degree permanent extrasensory perception that makes it impossible to get the drop on him
Who the frick makes a game where you kill off all your iconic heroes?
Suicide Squad is "popular" recently and Injustice made evil heroes "cool".
Recently as in 7 years ago.
Makes sense when you consider the development cycle time.
The idiots who made that shit Raccoon City game where you played as edgy cosplayers and could kill Leon S. Kennedy.
The Boys and its consequences have been a disaster.
This shit is why America is about to get fricked. People like the dumbest and most evil shit imaginable.
>Who the frick makes a game where you kill off all your iconic heroes?
Mortal Kombat
The Boys
Don't you have some troony wiener to suck?
>Lying and projecting their homosexualry
Sad!
I don't think that's going to be the game's biggest problem.
But duuuuude, what if Superman was LE BAD?
How is this bad?

A superman game would be extremely boring.
It wouldn’t.

Maybe get off the internet where it’s infested with shills and fricking idiots who have nothing else to live for.
>A Superman game isn't hard, stop complicating it
It is kinda hard though because the only way to make it work is to make him way less super than he normally is.
You're proving my point
No it wouldn’t moron
Why people keep trying to maker service game, they don't work people hate them and of course people liked arkham for the solo gameplay
What's more damning is that the gameplay doesn't even feel like Suicide Squad, just Division with a DC skin. Yes, not even Destiny based. That'a how dull it looks.
Will it be more popular than Avengers?

I suck troony wiener
I REALLY like sucking troony wiener, Cinemaphile
Like you have no clue how much I love trannies
>Lying and shilling
Sad!
Wait, the game won't be fricking playable for a week after release?
DC's Avengers
The worst part is this being Kevin's final time as Batman. He deserved better.
There's still Multiversus
He signed up, saw the script, and got payed. You feeling sorry for him is moronic.
people who say a superb man game would be boring because he's too strong have never played Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction
The problem isn't that he's strong
The problem isn't even that he's invulnerable to almost every type of harm
