I was really impressed at how much SOVL this film had. It was like watching a MCU movie back when they actually put effort into making them. Shame it flopped which just signals to Hollywood that blockbusters with effort like this aren’t profitable
The closest are probably those new Jumanji movies which are surprisingly good, Pirates of the Carribean obviously, and (only the first) Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.

D&D: HaT was the kino fantasy of the decade (century?) "Warcraft" is a similar movie for fantasy fans.
