It was similar to what happened with Rocket Power, only taken up to eleven, because at least with the former there was some ground for their slang... here, it always felt as the showrunners going "What if he says this? Kek, brilliant, I know" in the writing room.
It was a solid action show. They probably could have gotten another good season or two out of it, but Disney seems allergic to action cartoons. Howard was the only part I disliked.
I understand the creator wanted to focus on the "bromance", but Howard was such a dislikeable character it ended pulling down certain episodes just with his mere presence.
They should have toned him down a bit, to make him a better secret keeper, and someone who actually supported Randy behind the scenes.
Somewhere there's an alternate timeline where this show was the one that got massively popular meanwhile Gravity Falls got quietly cancelled and ended on a cliff hanger.
