Anybody notice that this season of Rick and Morty is rather….extremely boring? It doesn’t even feel like the same show. I remember when Adult Swim advertised Season 6 as this badass thing that would be a callback to the first few seasons. But after watching it, show fricking sucks now. It’s just characters talking and that’s it. No wacky adventures, no silly germlins with funny voices, no gore and violence. Just talking and nothing else. Maybe Roiland was the brains after all and decreasing his role after the second season was a horrible mistake.
Worst part is Adult Swim expects this shit to last 4 more seasons. I don’t think it’ll even make it to 8. You might as well jusr cut your losses and cancel that shit. Frick man
it's exactly the same as the past 3 or 4 seasons, minus the voices obviously.
If you still have expectations for Rick and Morty, you only have yourself to blame for being disappointed.
I mean yeah it’s been talky since the third season, but the previous ones still had their adventurous moments. Season 6 completely lacks that. It’s just Rick being a self-loathing hack who spends most of his time talking to other characters for twenty minutes rather than actually doing anything cool. At least the action scenes made up for the bad writing in the Post-Roiland era. Without that, it‘s just lifeless now. Apart from those interdenominational Ricks and that one rock guy, can you really name anybody else who died this season?

Im not even that big on the action scenes imo, they're sort of hacky compared to the action comedy of earlier seasons. there might be something going on in the background or some visual gag, but after a while then they started destroy a new civilization every week it just became grandscale carnage. the rick v rick prime fight is a good example, it's just more bullshit piled ontop of more bullshit.
I like the fortune cookie episode though, that had fun action.
Are you still talking about S6 or S7? The former had a whole arc where the family was stuck in their own dimension, so it makes sense that it felt more static than usual. Even then, we still got some fun adventures like Night Family and Fortune Cookies during that period.
Don't know. Stopped watching when they established that the most evil thing Rick could have done was criticize Israel.

Pretty good list, although I do want to point out the season 7 premiere fricking sucked and season 3 is less "mid" and more extremely hit or miss, some of the best episodes of the show right next to some of the worst.
Last episode was pretty good, you're just stupid and have bad taste.
