Anyone else feel some IPs aren't exploited enough?

Anyone else feel some IPs aren't exploited enough? Like with all the revivals going on, why aren't they putting more effort into reviving other classic properties?

CN has always been shit at exploiting their IPs. Their biggest weakness imo.

It's a Warner wide issue, which makes their decision to annex Hanna-Barbera pretty stupid, considering they're the only Westerners who ever knew how to make a real slop mill. Every time another company tried it they nearly collapsed and debased the brand, like Disney in the early 90s.

As tired as I am of reboots you kind of have a point. Unfortunately, the higher-ups only pick the same few properties to recycle again and again because that's what works. Corporations, despite having billions of dollars, are afraid to take risks in this day and age. That's why we get a million reboots of IPs such as Powerpuff Girls and Fairly OddParents. I feel like there's a few neglected properties that could actually do better in the modern year but because they were never really that popular to begin with, they'll never be touched again.

You get into the heart of why people are so sick of reboots. Shows that already had hundreds of episodes and actual conclusions now get even more installments, all because corporations are now risk adverse. I can give you plenty of shows that would actually need a revival but nothing were major enough brands to warrant the attention; did people forget about Courage and KND?

        >did people forget about Courage and KND?
I'm still mad the KND sequel didn't happen.

Courage had that Scooby Doo crossover a few years ago. Never watched it myself but they haven't forgotten about it.

          >a crappy DTV crossover with no input from the original creator
          Pain.

        Leave Courage alone.

After the Scooby Doo crossover, gladly.
It just sucks that when a creator actually has plans to genuinely expand on their work, it gets rejected by execs but then they'll happily dig up the show's corpse for a quick nostalgic cash grab.

Why would you want to revive anything in a post tumblr society? Look what happened to PPG, Scooby Doo, Samurai Jack, Clone high, etc

There is one thing you need to understand about businesses. While they can do a lot of things which are profitable, they are only interested in doing the things which are MOST profitable.
Why bother with a series that could bring in a hundred thousand when they could spend time on a series that can bring in ten million?
Corporate logic is that, more money should be dumped exclusively into the biggest money makers because just doubling the expense on that can double the profit, so sink all the money into the most profitable content. So it'll just leave other IPs sitting on the sidelines until someone can convince a CEO somewhere that there's ten million dollars to be made there.

There's this short-lived IP that I fear what might happen to it if it ever gets revived, both on the creator's side and fan side.
It's more of a video game though, but there were comics.

I don't think the creators of NiGHTS are even with Sega anymore.

Half of them are still with Sega. The other half went on to make a very shitty game a few years back.
