well i had season 1 of a TV show that I watched on DVD before moving on to streams to finish it and I was shocked at how much better the streaming was. It wasn't high quality either as I don't have good internet.

Yes, this happened to me in high school (zillennial). I put on a burned DVD for a girl who was into me and she went cold, barely reacted to the movie, and stopped wanting to hang out with me after. Later I learned she told her friends I was a poorgay because everyone else was doing the laptop (Apple) + HDMI thing. Since then I've amassed a collection of over 1,000 DVDs and blurays, most in original boxes (and some in boxes I reproduced myself). I bet if she saw this she'd change her little mind.

I always hated the cheap ass looking menus. You're buying a dvd of a hugely successful high budget film and the menu design looks like some fan made shit a 12 year old made. Vhs tapes were less convenient but had more soul.
