I feel like I am on drugs. This episode was pure trash and everyone seems to like it. Are you all that hard up for entertainment? The fight sequences were moronic, the orcs could have just killed everyone in the village pretty much immediately but didn't, somehow water falling down a hole caused Mount Doom to erupt, somehow everyone survived a 2500C pyroclastic flow, somehow Numenorians knew, without ever being told, that there was orcs attacking a village somewhere, etc. There was so much bad. It was so so bad.
Nah, you're the sane one anon. This entire show is a fricking joke.. People's standards have dropped extremely low. Same with video games too. >somehow knew they were attacking a village somewhere
This was the most capeshit ever and does my fricking head in.
I love cringe but this episode was too much.
They could have fixed it by just having a random extra in the village and be like >"Hey, Extra! Go run westward and get some help!" >"Okay lady that's somewhat in charge, I'll go do that!"
and then he disappears for four episodes but shows up with the Numenorians are landing and says >"Hey heavily armed horsemen who showed up for no reason, our village is about to get attacked, come halp pls"
At least it would have made sense with continuity.
Because after this episode, I have to assume Numenorians are all psychic and just somehow fricking know they have to sail 1200 miles and then ride 600 miles to go aid a random village in the middle of no where.
>Because after this episode, I have to assume Numenorians are all psychic and just somehow fricking know they have to sail 1200 miles and then ride 600 miles to go aid a random village in the middle of no where.
Don't forget, they made it there in the space of 24 hours.
Halbrand is the one who knew exactly where to go, but even if he is sauron, I don't see how he could have this info, since he's been stuck at sea/numenor for weeks.
This, not sure what everyone is talking about. Halbrand is either actually a southlander who will become a nazgul and he simply knew where to ride (which is pretty much how the PJ movies went, among other things Arwen just shows up at the perfect time in the movies to ride away with Frodo in an epic chase scene with the nazgul), or he is Sauron and definitely knew where everything was going down in the southlands because he is Sauron. The thing that makes no sense is how fast they got there. Is there a river that runs up to the southlands? How did those horses ride there so fast? But again, not the most outrageous thing because LotR is constantly filled with people showing up to save the day at the last minute against all odds.
>People's standards have dropped extremely low
Well, you have people saying that "quality is subjective" and "you shouldn't talk about things you don't like", so yeah, standards have dropped to 0.
>everyone seems to like it
Who? Anons on here who are just as likely to be shills or shitposting? I don't see anyone talking about this show outside of Cinemaphile.
dude, the show is terrible, the ratings are bad and this is their final hail mary to pull this out of the ditch. shills are on overdrive because this first episode with green-screen "action" is their last hope.
To be fair, superheated steam is a hell of a drug, but ya... The whole pyroclastic flow blowing over them really killed the immersion for me. It would have been better if the dam just drowned them like rats.
Terrible episode. Honestly the worst one in the series so far which is extremely weird of me to say. Why is this show so fricking shit? Where did that magical New Zealand budget go to?

IGN is complete garbage. But this was a great episode, seeing the tunnels were meant to create Mount Doom was top tier kino.

ngl I was surprised the show was so good. thought it was gonna suck for sure
>they show is bad, >I have seen every epicode.
They still won, morons
What are you even talking about? Even those shitskin goyim homosexuals Angry Joe hates this trash. Who likes it besides literal israeli wienersuckers paid to write this shit like in OP?
>somehow water falling down a hole caused Mount Doom to erupt
This is an actual thing, though they obviously exaggerated the size of what the steam eruption would cause. I prefer this to "magical earthquake sword" or some other option.

>somehow knew they were attacking a village somewhere
I assumed they were making for the tower because they knew it was the important stronghold in the area, and that if anything was going down it would be there.
I thought the episode was fine. I think they could have done a bit better job pacing the night fight so it was clear how close to dawn it was. Smooth that transition out a bit. But they needed to buy some time in the middle there clearly.
Most of the episode was boring because those village idiots were, didn't care about them. It gets better when Numenorians arrive, but that's like only the last 15 mins.
I actually liked the resident evil adaptation better than this shit. Call me a shill I don't fricking care. At least Resident Evil felt true to the stupid it was targeting.
I have Amazon prime, but I didn’t want to give it views so I torrented the first few episodes (in 2160p) and still have no desire to waste time watching it. Deleted all the episodes already and just shitpost when I occasionally see a thread.
I like the show. This episode ended on a cliffhanger with Galadriel consumed by pyroclastic flow. And I swear to god if the next episode opens with a fricking harfoot I'm gonna lose my shit.
>numenor magically knows where village is exactly and arrive exactly when they need to do, at full gallop >the hilt is recovered but no one checks what it is >no one asks the evil elf guy what the deal with the hilt is, no one says anything about it at all even though its the entire reason for the attack >the elf gives the hilt back to the kid after he admits he's been lusting after it >3000 year old (?) elf wants to bump it with a shady human
the acting, dialog, pacing and basically everything that happens in this show is extremely whack. however two major things made this episode much better than all the previous ones >adar lines and dialog >mt doom being born
adar is a good actor and a good foil for galadriel's holier than thou bullshit. mt.doom sequence was fricking awesome. it was ruined at the end though, because that lava cloud shit would have melted fricking everyone and galadriel just chilin staring at it
See, I liked that because it reinforces that the orcs are resourceful/engineering types. The industry changing nature theme is pretty important in the books. They're harnessing the power of the earth to achieve their ends.

I mean, to be fair, dues ex machina shit is pretty common in LotRannngggzzz
It's believable at least.
This was just pulling dicks out of the ground.

This ep was made long before they knew the ratings
obviously, but people are trying to hype this episode as "the one where things are picking up now!..." because the studio realizes they fricked up
To be fair, superheated steam is a hell of a drug, but ya... The whole pyroclastic flow blowing over them really killed the immersion for me. It would have been better if the dam just drowned them like rats.

I didn't give them any money so what does it matter.
I watch it for the cringe.
>I watch it for the cringe
Cringe
Indeed
i just torrent them
solarmovie.pe
>somehow everyone survived a 2500C pyroclastic flow
I fricking hated this. Galadriel just takes it right to the face.
I'm supposed to believe this shit little village has anyone surviving after getting Pompeii'd?
>everyone seems to like it
Nope. Lots of people are shitting on it.
What are you even talking about? Even those shitskin goyim homosexuals Angry Joe hates this trash. Who likes it besides literal israeli wienersuckers paid to write this shit like in OP?
just turn off your brain and consume, chud
You probably are on drugs because nobody likes it
>somehow everyone survived a 2500C pyroclastic flow
They didn't show the impact though.
In my head they're all dead, Sauron too, and the show is over.
>somehow water falling down a hole caused Mount Doom to erupt
This is an actual thing, though they obviously exaggerated the size of what the steam eruption would cause. I prefer this to "magical earthquake sword" or some other option.

This, it was one cringe moment after cringe moment and no flow between scenes + bad LotR callbacks.
I was excited to find out what IGN had to say about current product. I can't wait for them to tell me how great next product will be.
I hear they are adjusting their scale to allow for 11s for next product
I'm almost positive they gave a troony orc dialogue
>Wow, TLoU 2, Death Stranding and God of War are the best videogames of all time 10/10
Imagine thinking IGN is a trust source
There is no trusted source. It's all compromised.
IGN is complete garbage. But this was a great episode, seeing the tunnels were meant to create Mount Doom was top tier kino.
>a gorgeous emotional rollercoaster
sounds gay
No
Most of the episode was boring because those village idiots were, didn't care about them. It gets better when Numenorians arrive, but that's like only the last 15 mins.

You first
I actually liked the resident evil adaptation better than this shit. Call me a shill I don't fricking care. At least Resident Evil felt true to the stupid it was targeting.
Someone, somewhere gave it a high score? Well, now I HAVE to watch it.
>the orcs are now white
lol
I always assumed they were, because they're Elves. Twisted elves, but Tolkien saw them as still being recognizable as that.
And that would necessitate that they be white.
still haven't watched it and still won't
I have Amazon prime, but I didn’t want to give it views so I torrented the first few episodes (in 2160p) and still have no desire to waste time watching it. Deleted all the episodes already and just shitpost when I occasionally see a thread.
The show is fricking dogshit.
I like the show. This episode ended on a cliffhanger with Galadriel consumed by pyroclastic flow. And I swear to god if the next episode opens with a fricking harfoot I'm gonna lose my shit.
Is it still getting absolutely demolished by based HotD?

I hate how the trigger was just opening a damn instead of the sword just enacting some kind of magic.
See, I liked that because it reinforces that the orcs are resourceful/engineering types. The industry changing nature theme is pretty important in the books. They're harnessing the power of the earth to achieve their ends.
Instead of just lolmagic
