Why is everyone so crazy about this show? I saw the first episode way back and I thought it was painfully unfunny and hideously ugly. Why is it so popular on Cinemaphile?
it's part "it's popular because it's popular", part "cut it some slack it doesn't need to be perfect, it's just a tiny indie studio", part 13 year olds who think they're edgy for laughing at sex frick jokes.
there's also people who want to frick the characters, but aside from verosika i can't wrap my head around that one so i'll leave any explanations for that one to the stolasposter who is undoubtedly lurking this thread, like he lurks every hb thread.
Its a nice break from the usual plots or setting choices that show 9 times out of 10. In terms of appeal, its rick and morty tier with it being a casual watch. In terms of impress though, it doesn't have much competition so the gay drama is acceptable.
