I excepted different from the name.
I noticed lot non-weebs when they watch anime and like it act like it's amazing when in reality it's most likely like anything else but I guess it's the shock of it being foreign even at the end of the days like any other medium.
The weirdest holdover from 2000s weeb cultures is this idea that anime is an entirely separate medium from other cartoons instead of just how a foreign culture approaches their animation.
I actually like the recent take that anime is just a different aesthetic in the animation medium. Japanese animation counts as anime, American shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender and Teen Titans also use the anime aesthetic, and Korean webtoons like God of Highschool can also count as anime too.
Anime has all types of styles though anime inspired shit aside how there's stop motion anime.

The line of what's considered anime or not is skewered. Lots of people consider G1 Transformers to be anime since it was animated by a Japanese animation studio, and people consider Final Fantasy: Spirits Within to be anime even though it was directly outsourced to an American animation studio. Really, I guess what counts as anime and what doesn't is based on what you believe, but in my opinion, I don't think it matters because Japanese animation is just another part of the wonderful medium of moving drawings, and that's beautiful.

His most annoying video to me was his Lizard video talking about how they don't know what to do with him and he should have an ending and it's like dude these corporate owned characters like they'll always be stucked. It's why you just read the stuff you like and ignore the stuff you don't and if you want an ending just pick a part in the comics or make your own in your head. Read indie if you want stories that don't loop around and actually end because big two never been that. It's like lot big two people are unaware of this and it drives me nuts.
Spencer almost had it when he had Connors gain back his intellect while in Lizard form and his family are lizards as well. He could've been Pete's science support from time to time like the old days but now he has his own struggles with being a Lizard.
