Yeah, the "antagonists" for these episodes have been pretty lackluster. It feels like there's just no zaniness anymore, and yet they're hard-focused on the conflicts they wrote. Yeah, random things happen, but they feel like they come out of nowhere, instead of the standard ATHF "they think about the situation, and go with the most inane conclusion or plan of action they could".
I love how Cinemaphile - Comics and Cartoons complains that the animation is too good

Not like that. Like it the standard Popuko and Pipimi bits were suddenly given fluid movement and idle animation. The simplistic design doesn’t call for that and it just feels forced.
I don’t think anyone here would have an issue if like one bit of an ATHF episode had ridiculous budget animation for a joke.
They are funny, it’s like they got out the files from the old show and just strung things together at random. The only actual new animation is Jiggle Billy
