Yeah, lana went from a likeable character to one of the worse, she's a terrible mother, a shit partner and a hypercrite. Idk much about the new girl but just based off the trailers she's a try hard girl boss, ha i curse and rage and can handle archer who's a crippled loser now

Rewatching the first few episodes, she was about as psychotic as the rest of them, but hid it behind her looks and confidence (Cyril was the closest to sane, but was horribly insecure). Then Lana somehow became the voice of reason and the most balanced and level-headed, until Archer joined her in that bit of character development.

See lana was always crazy but like with most of them they had much better characterization to begin with. Also in the end she still completely became trash in the later seasons. Also crazy how cyril was one of my og faves and now i like him purely because he just is the only competent and nice one of the group. It's like when you see a nice girl hanging around with the b***hy and mean loud fat prostitutes. You know it won't end well and their confidence would go down the drain.

The Mentalist did this. They brought in a new character to replace and older new character ajd also act as a love interest for another old-new character, but then killed her off for emotional drama and character development. I understand it, but it still hurt and felt a little pointless.

The new Lana
A new recruit could have worked if the recruit kind of sucked or was a younger reckless Archer-type type that needed a bit of guidance to show off Archer's development as a character through contrasts. But the new recruit (I don't remember her name) is pretty much better than Archer in every way now and, unless she turns out to be evil or something, we will have to deal with him being pathetic. The new character also makes Pam redundant and Ray even more redundant than he already was.
