cool it with the antisemitism
I don't speak American
Netflix doesn't need to shill their shows on Cinemaphile.
s4 is worst season
Ah. Guess I'll watch a few episodes of the first season and see where I go from there.
Season 1 is genuinely good, it falls off hard after that
Season 1 feels like an 80s movie like ET, or whatever you want to think of its like a giant mashup of beloved stuff, you see kids playing Dungeons and Dragons, lots of references bla bla bla
thats what made stranger things popular it did it well
then its popularity has it at season 4, I think I dropped it after season 2, as usual a good ideea and a longform movie's popularity has it not going away ever
Cobra Kai was the same story, great first season, and you stop watching at some point because they wont stop the story they just make new seasons
It's pretty enjoyable, easily the best original show Netflix has.
Season 1 is really good and it's written like a miniseries with a complete story arc. So even if you decide not to continue with the other seasons you won't feel cliffhangered.
After it's success Netflix naturally wanted a second season, but the story arc was already complete and they hadn't left much to go on for a second season, so they extrapolated and made new stuff up. As a result the second season and everything following doesn't quite have the same feel as the first season. At the time a lot of people even assumed it would be an anthology series.
>easily the best original show Netflix has
It's no Bojack.
I tried watching season 3 last night and I thought it was really dumb tbh.
The best part of season 3 was the little Steve crew. And I guess the producers figured that out because they get the most interesting storyline. I haven’t finished it but all the other useless characters are miles away from the main plot.
As someone who passionately hated Season 3, swore off Strangers Things (ignored all the trailers) and shit talked all the hype threads - I have to say its worth watching. It's not amazing, but the show is finally back to watchable now.
You aren't getting paid?
It's something I'd only recommend to a specific sort of person but I enjoy the series through and through with all of its many flaws.
gays and troons?
season 1 was great. stopped watching after that.
I laughed my ass of when that Chad bball player got melted.
poor dude did nothing wrong
wasn't even a psychopath
That was just so surreal. Like they realised they couldn't really have him for next season but hadn't planned out a death scene for him, so they gave him a really quick, but oddly horrific death that just kinda happens without any reaction.
Im paid 50 cents for every post and i post atleast 500 times a day.
I enjoyed the hell out of it
GOD WHY ARE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT A SHOW THAT JUST HAD A SEASON FINALE RELEASED A FEW DAYS AGO? IM SO FRICKING MAD AND FRICKING SHILLS GODDAMN NO WAY ANYONE WOULD TALK ABOUT A SUPER POPULAR SHOW IT MUST BE SHILLS LIKE THE LAST EPISODE CAME OUT AND THE SEASON IS SUPPOSED TO BE OKAY BUT MAN MUST BE SHILLS CANT BE THAT IT JUST CAME OUT AND PEOPLE ARE SHITPOSTING ABOUT 11's HUGE breasts OR THE MULTIPLE DEATHS AT THE END OF THE SEASON OR DABBING ON VECNASHITTERS GOLLY GEE MUST BE SHILLS
>t byler shipper
S1 is worth watching. S2 and S3 are mediocre. S4 is a little better but nothing exceptional. It's a franchise riding off of accidental brilliance that they've never been able to replicate.
>riding off of accidental brilliance
No, it was stolen brilliance. S1's plot was stolen from some guy who brought the script to the Brothers and they went like "hmmm not right now" then ripped it off completely. They ended up settling.
It's not wonder S2-4 can't live up to S1. With that said I don't hate the series.
California team plot is FRICKING FILLER and SUCKS
The rest is fine
The boss is stupid can't even kill a bunch of completely normal kids even if he was "getting stronger with every kill"
Does Cali team include the Russian subplot?
No, russian subplot is alrigth.
It's 40/60 filler:content tho, because the first part of that plot does absolutely nothing and status quo itself.
>US Army storms civilian house in California, shooting it up
>High school kids, who aren't even the targets, have to run for their livesup
>Nobody gets in trouble for it (?)
dude it's turn off your brain popcorn
If you think about anything for more than 8 seconds, nothing in ST makes sense.
>turn off your brain popcorn
Other than the dude playing Metallica on the roof (literally just get an extension cord and put the amp on the roof while you stay in the fortified trailer, dum dum) the one thing that absolutely killed me was when the stoner dude makes a pizza towards the end and he throws the pizza in the over before even turning it on. I'm Cinemaphile and that completely took me out of the show.
that's it? there's shit like that in every scene. They obviously wanted the in-oven shot of the flames lighting up after the pizza was in. That's all, it didn't have to make sense.
Sure there's tons of dumb stuff. Those two just stuck out to me (I was probably getting a little tired of how long they were dragging it out towards the end). The Metallica scene was blatantly just an excuse to have the epic music video in the upsidedown. Even after they ran inside why couldn't they just go back through the portal? Let alone go back outside to fight a flock of demon bats with a fricking spear. The pizza scene was just stupid. You don't put a pizza in a cold pizza oven.
1>4>2=3
>literally any time a show airs and is talked about
>literally any time an anime airs and is talked about
>literally any time a video game comes out and is talked about
>SHIIIILLL SHIIIIIIIIIILLLL WHY DOES EVERYONE SHIIIIIILL THIS!?
Take your pills you fricking moron. I couldn't care less if you watch the show or like it, stop pretending people talking about shit you personally haven't watched or cared about is marketting by NPCs. You have a mental fricking illness.
>Eddie is not even on here
Should have seen it coming
He's on this one.
Should have seen it coming because the new white guy is killed every season.
>Joyce's bf
>Max's brother
(Lucas' sister and Robin have obvious plot armor.)
Barb says hi
:/
Yes there is shilling that goes on here. If you spoiled end game the mods would permaban you so they are paid to let advertisers make threads.
But there are a lot of homosexual redditors here because of the 2016 migration that never left and their brought their shit taste with them, so some of it is genuine adoration for this genuinely stupid show. Add in there are now tons of zoomers who legitimately have never had good media produced the entirety of their existence who don't know any better and are too stupid/lazy to look up kino made before they were born, so we have a bunch of teenagers and college kids who don't know better thinking that Stranger Things is actually good when it's an old Asylum Film's script with a 30 million dollar an episode budget.
I just wish homos would stop trying to evade filters and label their threads properly so I never have to interact with these homosexual Redditors or advertising bots.
This. The redditardation especially has gotten out of control since last year, they are now bold enough to unironically try to post homosexualry support on here.
its worth pirating its fun and full of genuine broship. there is a moderate amount of pozz but its fricking netflix
Season 1 is great after that it's very bad.
Cant read anything itt because I am only halfway through but as of the end of episode 4 what a garbage season.
Note that I felt that 1 was great and and while 2 and then 3 declined in quality, they were still worth watching.
S4 so far has been boring, slow, created unnecessary drama in the cast that should all be super close after their past experiences, is poised to ruin a lot of the lore set up the past three seasons (more than 2 and 3 already did).
season 1 is very entertaining, edge of your seat stuff
season 2 is all right, except for that horrible filler episode
season 3 is getting on my nerves
You mean rich evans favourite episode?
Yes i thought 3 was moronic and only clicked on 4 because i was bored but yeah they made it good again, worth a watch.
It was mostly terrible and filler for s5
i really loved the master of puppets sequence
Might be the better directed thing in all of TV right now. It's mindless fun, though they really suffer with boring side-character plots these last couple of seasons.
S3=S4>S1>S2
I don't get the hate for S3, it was the most fun for me.
Kys
S2 was too shit for me to bother continuing
Lucas' sister ruins every scene she's in, every shot she's in, every line we have to hear of hers.
I unironically hate her, and wish they'd have the balls to kill her, but I know she's untouchable.
CriticalDrinker says it's good (after shitting all over the last season)
Kys
And?
S4 is still shit.
These youtubers need to have something nerd related to talk about otherwise they lose revenue.
Just finishing it now and yeah netflix redeemed themselves with this shit whats her name firing off the shotgun to music is pure kino
Normies really like this, I don't know why. It has good stuff in, but it full of filler and predictable.
Just watched Critical Drinker's video on who loved it, he didn't seem to bothered by the fact Eddie is another Barb.
It's the MCU of Carpenter's filmography.
I thought season 4 was fairly average for the most part. The russia storyline was boring and a complete waste of time. So were Mike, Jonathan, Will and wheed guy on their road trip. The Hawkins story was great. This show just has way too many characters and the showrunners seem to feel obligated to give every single one of them screentime even if they have nothing to add to the story. That said, the 2 hour season finale was incredible. I just wished some of the main characters would have died to free up screen time in the final season.
It has only one good season, the first one. The others are bingeable and fun to watch, but if you stop and think about them, you'll see they make little sense and they're very formulaic and safe. Also, they were made during the height of 80s revival, back in 2016-2017, so that's dead now, if you care about that.
I don't care about 80's revival shit because it always seemed like a zoomer thing, but what made the first season of ST so good was that it had a million references to movies made at the time that only older gays would appreciate. All of that is gone by S4 and it just feels completely incidental that it's set in the 80's.
Season 1 was good but it was meant to be self contained and then the characters got really popular so they decided to continue on and season 2 is really weak because they weren't sure what to do. Season 3 gets better again, but by that point it had gotten too big and they start doing really silly shit that didn't fit the tone of the show. Season 4 continues that trend and is basically just a superhero movie, with most of the scenes just being made for people to talk about online rather than serving the plot. It's still entertaining (don't get me wrong, it's much better than capeshit) but it can be pretty cringe at times.
>better than cape
Lmao no. S4 literally goes full cape at the end, complete with disposable side character having his heroic sacrifice moment (unnecessary too and functionally achieved nothing), the fricking sword scene, literal power of love bullshit asspul, epic strong females, cheating death fricking Naruto-style and all complete with le epic remix of an old song . You know what I take it back, the finale was straight up worse than base cape, it takes utter dogshit like GotG to surpass it, and that's saying a lot. How normies lap this garbage up again and again is beyond me.
I agree with everything you said, but if you think a fricking Marvel movie is more entertaining than ST you have mental issues. I can't even remember the last time I made it to the end of a superhero movie they're so fricking terrible at this point.
Some of them genuinely are.In fact, given the length of the episodes, if you gave me the choice between rewatching ST seasons 1-4 or the entire Avengers saga leading up to Endgame I'd probably pick the latter because at least with Avengers I can turn my brain off and indulge in mindless CGI fights, while ST actually demands you pay attention to it's characters and plot while having the same level of writing. I don't know what it is that makes people so defensive about ST but to be frank if s5 is just more of what we got in 4 then I'm not sure I'm watching it anymore.
It's not like I'm defending ST. The most positive thing I said about it is that it's better than modern capeshit. I've also reached a point in my life where I'm fine sitting through stupid, shallow schlock I'll forget about an hour later if it's mildly entertaining, but I literally can't sit through 3 hours of bright colors flashing across the screen, which is all Avengers movies are.
Broad generalization based on board consensus doesn't really make you seem mature. WS is a great example of why you're wrong, mainly because of it's somewhat more down-to-Earth plot and action that makes it more akin to action movies than other hero movies.
ST4 takes its time in the first 3 or 4 episodes but gets really deep into the lore of ST overall. I liked it.
>gets really deep into the lore of ST overall
>here's this completely new character you've never seen or heard of before who doesn't seem like he should be working in the lab
>it was me all along, Mr. Bond
and yet, they fiddle him into the lore very well.
#001 is not working in the lab, papa is keeping him under control, #011 simply doesn't know and so should the viewer not know.
>never wonders about the other numbered kids
>especially number 001
You gotta be kidding me guy
It was pretty obvious he was going to be 001 as soon as he started acting weird. It just came out of nowhere and doesn't really deepen the lore. The upsidedown used to be like an Even Horizon/Doom gateway to hell where all this dark evil shit just wants to come through and frick everything up, but in S4 it turns out it was just some other chill dimension that was minding its own business until this kid who got raped in the orphanage decided to take it over. I mean, yeah, it's more Hellraiser this season, but it's still 100% Vecna who's the evil one. Where do they even go with that? The entire mystery before was that you never knew what could come through next.
>Where do they even go with that?
So, you admit you didn't watch S4?
S5 will go full blown hell on earth.
>full blown hell on earth
That's my point, though. They can't unleash an army of demons or anything like that because we already know it's all just vecna controlling everything. They did demigorgons, then demidogs, then demirats and demibats. So what's next? Fricking Demipandas? They took all the mystery out of the upsidedown by making it all just this one dude in charge of everything who got fricked up by some kids with molotov wienertails and a shotgun. The final boss encounter was like an hour and a half long and it was basically no different than the final encounter with the demigorgon in the first season.
If i understood this right, its all dead now and vecna is rooting in some limbo togehter with max.
You see at the end no monster what so ever, only hells nature taking over.
I am sure this show would go the extra mile with hell taking over earth.
They do the same thing they do every season with the gay kid having the hair on the back of his neck stand up and saying something like, "he's still out there, I can feel him". The Max thing also makes no sense. Does she die (again) in the hospital?
>Does she die (again) in the hospital?
you see el entering her mind, ending up in the limbo.
So she's not dead? Then how does the gate open back up?
she was dead for one minute, anon it is all said at the end of the final episode. You really didn't watch it?
Yes, she dies, which opens the 4th gate causing the thing to happen, but then Eleven brings her back before anything really bad happens. Then at the end of the episode the gate opens back up again, implying that she died again.
you mix shit up
vecna dies
max dies
gates open
one min later
el brings back max
lost in the limbo
You keep repeating the same thing as though that explains what happens at the end.
you keep repeating the same things as though mixing plot twist up would help to shit on the tv show
>max is in limbo
>so 3 days later the gate opens back up
>?
>gate opens back up
wut? Gate was already open, anon. It just growing. In the very last scene you can see how it gets bigger and bigger.
I start to believe you are just baiting me.
>Gate was already open, anon. It just growing. In the very last scene you can see how it gets bigger and bigger
They literally say it was an earthquake and everyone has their reunions, happy endings, and closure. And then in the last scene all of a sudden it's open again. It wasn't just "growing" over however many days passed.
>They literally say it was an earthquake
ok, this is bait.
Not sure if ESL, but, in the show the 4 gates open when Max dies and converge across the town and at the last minute El brings Max back, stopping the process. The town calls it an earthquake and everyone just goes on as though it was a one time natural disaster that's now over. The gate didn't stay open and keep growing, but it's somehow open again in the very last scene.
>El brings Max back, stopping the process.
No, where did it stop? And again, El fails to bring max back, she lost her in the limbo.
You keep talking about "the limbo" as though that explains anything. Vecna needed 4 sacrifices to open the 4 gates and open the rift between dimensions or whatever. The process starts but El stops it by bringing Max back.
>Vecna needed 4 sacrifices
all 4 where connected to him, but only one got revived but lost to the limbo.
>El stops it by bringing Max back.
again, El does jackshit.
The process starts and never stops at all, meanwhile El TRYS to get max back but fails, max is neither dead nor alive.
>her heart stopped for over a minute
>they don't know how she came back
>it must have been a miracle
Did YOU even watch the show?
>el enters max mind
>its empty
dID YoU eVEn wAtcH thE SHOw
Yes, and? That has nothing to do with the fact that El stopped the rift from opening by brining her back to life.
the fact that her mind is empty means what ever el tried has failed
>need 4 sacrifices
>4th sacrifice dies
>apocalypse begins
>4th sacrifice is brought back to life after a minute
>apocalypse stops
You can argue that the rift is opening back up at the end because Max's body is still connected to her mind in the upsidedown or whatever, but they didn't explain that part. What was very clear was that El stopped the rift by bringing Max back to life.
>>4th sacrifice is brought back to life after a minute
>>BUT LOST IN THE LIMBO
DOESNT stops
>>JUST ELIMINATED ALL MONSTERS
>>RIFT CONTINUES TO GROW AND EAT UP WHOLE PLANET
Why don't people like you just open the damn episode to see that you're wrong? There is no "apocalypse". The rift opens, then it stops once the four gates join in the middle. Then, several seconds earlier, El revives Max. The only difference between the even that happen and what Vecna showed Nancy, is that Vecna was now too week to rally the Upside Down's creatures to cross the rift.
The mindflayer, being a nebulous thing, started seeping into the world by its own momentum. It had started doing it since the start, but it's slow, it has no drive nor volition and has no goal without Vecna controlling it.
That never happened outside of your deranged brain.
>That never happened outside of your deranged brain.
yes it does, you can litterley see the whole puzzled house vaporizing into dust.
That's in Vecna's mindscape, you god damned speedwatching moron. His house in the upside down is fine.
>That's in Vecna's mindscape
but the puzzled house in the upside down vaporized, the same moment when all monsters dropped dead to the ground.
At this point i am damn sure you are just baiting.
The broken house with red sky and floating shit doesn't physically exist, it was in Vecna's mind.
Physical Vecna gets set on fire and blasted out of the attic window by Nancy, and is shown to have run off somewhere when the trio get back downstairs.
The bats fell because they were a part of Vecna's hivemind and he got his shit slapped.
>The broken house with red sky and floating shit doesn't physically exist, it was in Vecna's mind.
ok, i think i mixed that one up BUT
wasn't it in the mindescape where vecna took all those people energy to open the gate?
Which means, if EL had revived max at the moment vecna took over her, and lost max in the limbo, vecna would be in the limbo too?
Your questions were answered already before you even starting arguing like a moron. Yes, the sacrifices are part of Vecna's mind, and so is Max now, which is why her resuscitated body is empty.
There is no limbo. Vecna is hiding in the Upside Down recuperating.
>There is no limbo. Vecna is hiding in the Upside Down recuperating.
No, they are both trapped in the limbo because of EL moronic try to bring her back.
Again, your deranged headcanon is irrelevant. El's actions have nothing to do with why, how, nor when Max's mind didn't return to her body. The moment Max expired, her mind was locked to Vecna's mindscape (until writers decide otherwise). Eleven reviving Max makes no difference to where Max's mind is. Crissy's, Fred's and Patrick's minds are also with him, as well as others like his mom's.
If Eleven could hypothetically still revive any of this old victims, they'd all be empty like Max.
We have no reason to think reviving Max stopped the rift. Killing her psychically from the upside down weakened the barrier between worlds. Reviving her doesn’t magically fix the barrier again.
It just took a few days for the rift to fully open and shit to start seeping through.
>Reviving her doesn’t magically fix the barrier again
Except that we see the rift opening and then 2 days later it just looks like an earthquake hit and there's no giant trenches spitting hellfire spread across the town. She closes it by stopping the 4th sacrifice and then we're left with a cliffhanger of it being opened again for some unknown reason that wont be explained until next season. Do you really think nobody noticed that the gate was open? Eleven went back to her log cabin and was cleaning up without realizing that the entire fricking town had a gash down the middle that opened directly to the upsidedown? How do you even explain that?
>2 days later it just looks like an earthquake hit
that the fake news from msm, as if they would admit a rift to hell has opened.
Not a single scene is shown where the rift stopped growing.
>Not a single scene is shown where the rift stopped growing
El and everyone in the pizza van literally drive into the middle of town and they show that it isn't open or growing.
they show people leaving the town, and the last scene you can see the rift growing bigger.
The dumbest thing Netflix ever did was make it so you can't take screenshots to show people like you that you're wrong. They literally drive right up to whatever central building the 4 gates connected at before getting redirected by the police and it's clearly not an open gate.
>clearly not an open gate.
because it is actually a RIFT
and that rift is growing as we all can see it in the very fricking last scene you fricking dumb idiot or a fricking moronic cuck sucking mother fricking moron.
How did the anon above you take a screenshot? Is he a wizard? Does he have access to technology from another civilization? How do people as uncannily as moronic a you even get allowed to use a computer? Seriously, anon, just literally have a nice day right now. Your mere existence is an offense to every single living being.
Sorry anon, I am not in fact a wizard. I figured it out, though. Here's the rift opening before El brings Max back.
And here's the same location 2 days later. Notice how there's no rivers of hellfire and it's just some smoldering rubble?
because it is growing? Anon?
Now you're just trolling.
There's even a military guy point to the van and telling them to go to the right in the very screenshot you yourself took. I'm starting to believe you're not moron, because nobody can be this stupid, but that you're just lonely and pretend to be an idiot so people give you attention.
>El brings Max back.
BUT FAILS TO DO SO
make a screenshot of max in the hospital being in a deep sleep while el enters her mind just to find out its FRICKING EMPTY
T H I S
I S
C A L L E D
L I M B O
>limbo
did you not see every one or vecnas victims being in his mind palace? that's where max is now
el reviving the body just gives it somewhere to return once vecna is kil
>she died
>but then she came back
>the doctors don't know how
>they say it's a miracle
>*will and mike look knowingly at each other before both turning their gaze to el*
PIc related. If you don't read this as El having brought Max back then I don't know what to tell you.
>make a screenshot of max in the hospital being in a deep sleep while el enters her mind just to find out its FRICKING EMPTY
What's the point? She goes to the dark room with the water and calls out for Max but can't find her. This has happened at some point literally every season. The only thing you can deduce from it is that she can't find her for SOME reason.
I'm perplexed by your stupidity. How are you able to recognize those two places are the same, but somehow, inexplicably, unable to realize the angle of the shoot is different, and the the police cars and barricades are covering the holes?
THERE IS NO LIMBO
Stop being moronic. The black space is literally nowhere. She doesn't see Max, because her mind isn't there because it's with Vecna.
>the angle of the shoot is different, and the the police cars and barricades are covering the holes
Yeah, there's a giant X don't the center of the town and the police are just letting people drive right up to the center of it before redirecting them. If you're so good at angles then where are they even turning if there's a giant crater in every direction?
They're coming from the south and turning to the right, you god damn moron. For fricks' sake, how do you even get up in the morning or even use the bathroom? Do watch this series on a phone or something? Nothing explains your degree of cretinism. Are you high on drugs or something?
>there's totally a giant trench of hellfire 50 feet away blocked off by some police barricades and they're just telling traffic to drive right alongside it
>they're also letting the news walk right up despite them calling it an earthquake
Even if you can explain all that away, why did they even drive to that point in the town if it wasn't on their way? And if it was on their way, how did they get past it? The town obviously isn't completely cut off into 4 sectors. It's just one little area that's still on fire because it sustained the most damage.
>there's totally a giant trench of hellfire
First, I'm sick of tired of your moronation. There is no river, trench or anything else of hellfire. That's not how rifts work, it's not an opening to a volcano. If you want to talk about this series, you need to at least stop making things up to justify you being right. If you don't know something, then shut the frick up and stop trying to convince others of your deranged, moronic, second-grader-tier idiotic ideas that have no basis on what the series is showing.
>50 feet away blocked off by some police barricades
Yes. Why do you have a such a hard time grasping this when you have already seen that rifts are relatively stable constructs? Have you only seen this season and skipped the rest? Please, DO answer this question.
>>they're also letting the news walk right up
The same news that are covering the story up? Do you not pay attention?
>why did they even drive to that point in the town if it wasn't on their way?
Do we know it wasn't on their way? Has a route ever being shown from the outskirts of town unto the Wheeler's house?
>how did they get past it?
Did you somehow forget that the rifts don't go on infinitely?
>The town obviously isn't completely cut off into 4 sectors
It never was. The issue is that your preposterously moronic brain is telling you that the rifts are exactly on the borders of the town, and the town is split in 4, instead of having a cross in it.
>It's just one little area
Exactly. The affected area seems to be no more 3x3 miles (check 1:47:14), the rifts' length seem to be not even 2 miles long each.
>the town isn't divided into 4 quadrants
>the rifts are probably only 2 miles long and meet right in the center of town
>everybody is probably just driving around them
You're really reaching, anon.
>I can easily check for my self whether anon is right or wrong, he even gave me a timestamp so I didn't have to search
>I won't do that though
>instead I will reply saying he's wrong
The mind of a moron works in inexplicable ways.
Check your own timestamp. All it shows is the 4 rifts converging, not how far out they go.
Are you dumb or just pretending? They stop advancing once they converge. Their starting points are where Vecna killed each of the 4 high-schoolers.
Are you illiterate or just stupid? There's like a 30 second segment when the rifts are going from their starting points to the timestamp you gave, which is like 2 seconds before they converge. We have no idea how far out they go but you're acting like the last shot of them before they meet is the extent of it. It's a small town and all the locations where people died (trailer park, lake, etc.) were pretty clearly on the outskirts.
>THERE IS NO LIMBO
But it makes the most sense here, maybe the limbo theory is true?
No, it doesn't, and no, it isn't.
Why so aggresiv? I think it could be possible. Would be a nice new world to explore.
Because you're being purposefully moronic and/or your moronation is so unfathomable that I refuse to believe it's possible.
>I think it could be possible.
No, you don't. There isn't a single shred or sliver or evidence pointing out to Stranger Things having such thing as a "limbo". It doesn't exist, it's not there, there are no hints.
This limbo shit is the equivalent of you walking down a street, finding and apple, and instead of looking up to see if there's an apple tree, you immediately assume and say "It's aliens, aliens put this apple here".
>and they show that it isn't open or growing.
They literally don't.
moron, I'm describing to you literally what happens in the episode.
Watch the episode again. Unless you want to argue that you're some homosexual phoneposter you should be having the episode already open when posting in this thread because you clearly have the memory of a moron who hits his head on walls for fun
>the puzzled house in the upside down vaporized
What vaporized was inside of Vecna's mind, his mindscape, where el beats him. The physical Vecna, who the trio burn and shoot, is in the upside down.
>the same moment when all monsters dropped dead to the ground
Only bats were shown to drop.
>i am damn sure you are just baiting
That's because you have the intelligence and reading comprehension of an lettuce.
All the mini-rifts didn’t open immediately, they took a few days to actually become portals. Killing Max carved out the rift, but it didn’t fully open yet.
Trust me, anon. They just wanted their “oh shit, the portal is open!” ending /after/ their heartfelt reunions.
Both you and the limbotard are wrong. Vecna does exposition about this so 70-i IQ morons wouldn't be left with their heads scratching. He tells Eleven that they already lost. Max is sacrificed, dies, then El revives her, but her mind, taken by Vecna, is still with/inside Vecna, so Max's body is currently empty.
The rift opens and then it stays open, nothing stopped. The reason why nothing comes out is because Vecna was controlling it and "it" doesn't have any directive anymore, which why it's seen seeping out of the rift by the end, sucking the life out of its surroundings.
good point but do we see vecna skatboarding in your version?
No, nor Max. They're both still in the upside down.
She didn't stop the rift from opening, you can see the mindflayer seeping out by the end of the episode. Are you one of those people that watches things at 2x speed?
>both still in the upside down.
but the upside down is empty too? It all vaporized.
It seems obvious to me that Vecna just scurried and is in hiding, healing.
Eleven biologically revived Max, but her conscience must be trapped in the upside down since it was a catalyst for the incursion. Her body is empty.
It's called Limbo, when you are stuck between dead and alive.
The upside down world is now empty, therefore no monster came out of the gate.
I bet that in S5 they try to get Max back but this will only trigger vecna to come back and the only way to stop him is to left max go, meanwhile max and vecna having a good time in the limbo where they learn each other better known. This will only bring up more drama in the moment when the dream team will try rescue max.
MARK MY WORD
WE WILL SEE VECNA SKATBOARDING
Radical.
I don't care about your shit taste headcanon. Vecna isn't dead and they make it crystal clear.
>vecna dies
He doesn't.
He's just deeply moronic. Please be patient.
I am being paid 50 cents per shill post
I just finished it, and watching s1-s4 is incredibly epic. 2:30 hour finale for s4 and I was just like feed me more bros. I don’t watch horror stuff because I don’t like ugly things, but it doesn’t even matter with this it’s just that good. It’s like a YA mystery adventure novel of your dreams with a mega budget. Last Chance Detectives vibes, but with evil.
Best scene in the final episode
K I N O
First they kill off billy the best character then they kill off eddie new best character the frick is wrong with these netflix sois
literally, both did nothing wrong
Jason deserved it though
Din't watch first season, second season was pretty good, third one was kinda alright, mainly the character Billy and the fourth season is absolute bottom of the barrel nonsense. It legitimately feels like it's being written by different shift squads of writers, one moment characters are suppose to die and there's this huge set up for it but then they don't die, then someone gets brutally murdered, then we have whacky adventures in Russian Gulags, then we are back to 90210 highschool misery porn in California --It's all so eclectic, feels like its being made for every single target demographic, by including various content, scenes and tones and they just end up being bipolar
First scene of S5, Vecna skateboarding with Max in the limbo and having fun since there is nothing else to do.
Vecna and max die at the same moment
el brings max back
but lost her in the limbo
It's a guilty pleasure. The writing is pretty awful but it's visually great and has a lot of entertaining moments.
Technicley, its not a gate, it is a rift.
it was never worth watching after season 1, i havent seen a single second of season 2 because the trailer sucked
STOP SPOILING ANONS
>STOP SPOILING ANONS
STOP SPOILING ANONS
>STOP SPOILING ANONS
We all have to wait for S5.
If Vecna is skateboarding, limbotard was right.
It's obvious you're sock-puppeting. Most people aren't as dumb as you and can easily tell.
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they are skateboarding in S5 but that wouldn't make the limbotard right about anything that anyone was disagreeing with.
What does the Limbo even look like? I always thought the upside down world was the limbo?
There is no such thing as Limbo. It's just one moron writing the same thing over and over.
>it just looks like an earthquake hit
No earthquake looks like that. The showrunners even have the dad tell you not to "trust media" which is as close as beating you over the head with the fact the government is hiding info from the citizens.
>there's no giant trenches spitting hellfire spread across the town
Pic related, scene right after "Two days later". Police and military have completely shut down the rift areas and moved people away from there.
>"trust media" which is as close as beating you over the head with the fact the government is hiding info from the citizens.
oh look, we got a trumper here.
>It's just one moron writing the same thing over and over.
It's just a theory of mine, and yes i am ESL. We will see in S5.
Max and Vecna are in the limbo, skatboarding and smoking weed.
>as close as beating you over the head with the fact the government is hiding info from the citizens
Nobody ever denied that the "earthquake" wasn't a lame coverup story. The point is that the destruction is done, and the fact that there's still multiple smoldering fires a few days later doesn't refute that. If the rift was still open they wouldn't be bringing boxes of blankets to a shelter in the middle of town. They would have it either completely evacuated or completely locked down. It's pretty obvious that "something" happened that's over now, and of course they're going to spin a story.
> It's pretty obvious that "something" happened that's over now
What is obvious is that you have the attention span of a dry, crumpled sponge. Compare the vision Vecna showed Nancy to what happened later. The only difference is the monsters invading. The issue is that monsters on their own don't give a shit, they like to chillax in their world and sniff around. Without Vecna having the strength to control and direct them, they're not going to cross over unless by accident, which is exactly what happens at the end, with the Mindflayer / Gas Cloud wandering in without a rush in the world.
>Sir, our YouTube behind the scenes videos are reaching 10 million views. But growth is slowing down. How can we reach a bigger audience?
>Have you tried shilling our show in a Cinemaphile thread with approximately 50 unique posters?
Max should've just died. They wanted to end season 4 dramatically and set up the final season and Max dying would've been so much more shocking than the rift opening up. Alternatively you could've had Lucas dying instead, saving Max.
Last episode was kinda meh tbh. The Russia plotline was completely unnecessary and hamfisted. So was the Dustin and Eddie stuff. El mind teleporting into Max was very anticlimactic. And the back and forth only for her to kinda lose and then kinda win and then kinda lose again was poorly written.
This show really struggles with 2 main things and I hope they can solve it in the final season:
>way, way too many characters they need to make up moronic and contrived plotlines for
>basically everyone except Eleven is useless and the things they pull out of their ass to give the rest anything to do (like the Russia nonsense) is getting tiring
I’ve started it last saturday and it’s pretty fun and comfy at times.
It's basically Twin Peaks, but instead of Lynch it's made by someone trying to be Spielberg.
Read the threads. No one here is actually enjoying their time watching it.
It's a show based on nostalgia for millennials. Chuds and soibois hate their present and seek refuge in their past. They will consume any degenerate media that reminds them how their lives were when they were little kids.
Honestly I never lived through all these things, this stuff was my parent’s youth but still looks comfy.
I thought the a season might have been the final, that delay just for them to half ass set up another season felt like a waste of time
we're full of zoomers and teenagers, they dont know better
>Vecna
quit ripping off D&D, you uncreative hacks
It's literally a reference. They call him that because of the D&D character. His name is actually Henry, but everyone just keeps calling him Vecna.
eww
demagogorgon made sense
and then they added in le mindflayer
That's been a theme since the very first scene in the show. The creature each season is loosely based on a monster from movies from that time period, but the kids play D&D so they name them after and understand them as D&D creatures.

>the Duffers confirmed Max is braindead, blind and bones broken
It's over
I certainly didn't get paid. Watched all 9 in 3 nights. Probably should have spaced it out more. The stuff with Eleven reliving memories dragged on for waaaay too long. But most of the rest of it was entertaining. Eddie was my favorite new character. Will and Mike need a lot less screen time. They're both terribly written and acted.
It's better than the last two seasons but I don't know if it's worth watching.
>>not made by israelites
obligatory watch my dude
S1 was good, I watched S2 when it came out and thought it was a shit, this show is just 80s nostalgia, only reason for this show to exist is because of gen x and nobody cares about that lost generation, the 80s had some cool stuff but I dont think its worth making show about that cringe decade, so I dont get why ST is so popular around people who didnt even live in the 80s.
If anyone has a fetish for 80s, he/she should watch Miami Vice
They killed off the wrong character and it's not worth the build up so no.
Its dogshit ass and if you like it youre a shill or fricking moronic IQ level holy shit frick you Black person.
If they only did one season it would’ve been absolute kino that everyone cried about there not being more. Season two followed a mostly logical continuation and finished strong but went on some cringy detours. Season three is the showrunners throwing some of their best and worst ideas at the screen to see what sticks. The good was great, and the bad made people wonder if the show was even worth watching anymore. Season four spent WAY TOO MUCH time dealing with the mess season three made but it hit a lot of same kino beats as season one, and claims some of the best fricking scenes in the entire series. Now that the worst ideas from previous seasons have been put to bed, season five should theoretically be free to be excellent.
All in all, worth the ride.
The show really maximizes its premise. Thats the highest praise I can give, it makes the most of the setting and the rules within it. Shit like using lights to communicate between dimensions, all the 80s tech, 80s music, stuff like using the video rental records to find the the pot dealer or identify a lesbian, that shit is great.
I've seen the 1st season. It was ok. Didn't care enough to return for the rest
>Popular thing = shilled
Jasons death was weak as shit. He never had a chance to realize how fricking stupid he was.
>Jock trope
>Girlfriend gets murdered
>Media starts d&d cult hysteria
>Police aren't doing shit, so he takes matters into his own hands
>Finds girl in an attic of a spooky house in a trance with a dude who lied about being in said cult group
>Gets knocked out
>Gets ripped in half
People found his death satisfying because they're too stupid to understand that the characters in the story aren't privy to the same info the viewer is. We never got to see him face the truth and still choose to be a psycho and get killed because of it, he was literally just defending his town and got portrayed as a villain because he was inadvertently working against the protagonists.
I wanted that frick to lose and lose hard, but he died and had zero reason to possibly think what he was doing was wrong.
Honestly thought he was super likeable. I wish he had seen something like the other squad fighting monsters in the upside down and then him and the jocks joined forces with them to assault vecna. But this season had to kill off its b-plot characters to preserve all the very bland original cast.
I would be down for that, redemption for making the right choice, but I feel like he's kind of a like, another steve, ya know? He's the leader trope, when the group could really use a bruiser/shit kicker, but steve is that too.
Now that I think about it, I really didn't like steve this season.
They tried to give Nancy the leader role, but her being a fricking rattle bones skeleton makes it impossible to take her seriously in any confrontation.
Even the second season was almost unwatchable don't think it might be any better after.
