That's a good contender for the most plot-necessary sex scene in film history.

The nippleshot was gratuitous and so was the cowgirl. Jim just wanted to see her get railed.

        >see gun store owner get blasted
        >see Sarah's roommate get blasted
        >see thugs get their chest punched open
        >see many other brutal, bloody, violent deaths
        >Very necessary! In fact, should have been MORE bloody! People getting torn to pieces in the most gruesome manner possible!
        >see a little nipple
        >AHHHHGH I'M LOSING MY MIND AT HOW UNNECESSARY THIS IS!!!

This, why even have scenes of sex, violence, comedy or any dialogue at all? Movies should be replaced with the scrolling text of the script with neutral music in the background, anything else is unnecessary to the story.

If it’s necessary then they shouldn’t have left it ambiguous. They should have shown P in V and probably cum leaking out just so we are clear.

Men pretending to enjoy romance in movies must be some sort of mass psychosis. You can't possibly enjoy spending your free time watching two other people fall in love. Be honest with yourself

If that was true no movie would be entertaining because so much of it is out of reach. If anything it's the opposite. You wouldn't watch a movie of someone going for a walk

    Context is important.

As long as their an organic, and authentic reason for a sex scene to happen, and not some half-ass'd reason just to show the "it" actress of the week show off her lady-parts to sell her brand....why not?

      >As long as their an organic, and authentic reason for a sex scene to happen
Why the double standard though? No one ever says this about a comedic scene or a violent scene, or a dramatic scene where a character cries. Why is sex the only thing that has to be justified? Why can't they just throw a sex scene in for the fun of it?

Because sex is different you coomer
Just watch porn if you're that desperate

          >sex is different you coomer
It's a human experience like any other, roping it off into some special little box reveals you to be a sex-obsessed perv.

Do you think it's fun to watch other people have sex?

Do you find anything about movies fun? Genuine question, what about movies do you actually like?

Why would there be a good reason for two characters to have sex?

        >Why would there be a good reason for two characters to have sex?

        Again, Context.

What movie are we talking about? A Romantic movie, where you spend 3/4th of the movie seeing two people doing the courting dance, giving each other 'the come-hither look', making the audience believe you're one of those people, then suddenly the sex scene takes place in a tasteful manner to convey what real imitate love looks like...

I mean, using OP's pic as an example too, it makes sense in a certain context. First, being that it was the 80s. But speaking from actual experience, it is possible to have sex after experiencing an overwhelming and unusual event. *No, nothing like having a killer robot from the future chasing you. ...but I did have a "near-life" experience with a girl (that was my friend at the time) and the following week, she threw herself at me....

...might seem corny in an 80s action movie, but I can relate nonetheless.

I don't get it. The romantic scene in LOTR was fine and moved the plot forward. A sex scene between Arwen and Aragorn would just take screen time as there's no dialogue, like in all sex scenes ever

In real life I can perfectly understand the concept of two people being in love without physically sitting at the edge of their bed watching them have sex

            Anonymous

Except LOTR isn't exactly all about sex and romance.

You watch LOTR for swordplay and high-fantasy, epic battles, and high class special effects (for the most part).

Yes, we all know Arwen and Aragorn are lovers from the start, do we need a sex scene to double-down on that aspect? No, it would be unnecessary and unwarranted.

Do fans demand it? Not any real fan that know Tolkien's message is a far departure from carnality. Those that do are LARPing perverts, jerking out all their testosterones over their r34 LOTR fan fics.

But if you're talking about "Love Actually", or "The English Patient", or "Titanic", then yes the sex is warranted.

There are tons of scenes without dialogue. You think watching them walk around looking at random landscapes is a waste of time because they're not speaking?

All movies are about the same thing. You want to know what happens next and all bit of dialogue and all events should be important to the story. Swordsplay and the combat could be considered filler but it's cool so it doesn't matter.

Of course the infidelity sex scenes in True Detective are important to the story but the average sex scene is pointless. The only way to defend it is to admit you enjoy watching other peoiple have sex and I don't understand how grown men can find it entertaining

No. Porn is easily accessible, no need to keep coom baiting thirsty men with nudity. israelites need to update their tricks to today standards.

Seeing people commit tons of violence and get brutally murdered is also easily accessible. No reason to make movies anymore at all really.
