I suppose. It just feels like a battle shonen to me.
Arcane fits the title more I guess. Or as 'adult' as the West wants to go because muh animation is for muhhh kidddsssss
Yes, for lack of a better description. Trying to define shit as kid or adult seems to be moronic to me. I think it's better to categorize by content. "Adult" just tends to mean sex, crude language, and violence.
It’s manchild animation.
Manchild animation is a show or movie that would otherwise be for kids, if it wasn’t for the gore and the sexual content. You could keep everything else the same, just don’t show blood and guts, and only imply the sex, and it’d be PG-13. Plot wise, it’s for prepubescents.
Shows like Invincible and Arcane hit the mainstream but slower-paced and more methodical adult animated series like Scavengers Reign and Pantheon do exist
Pantheon has some presence on other forums and youtube.
The anime in the OP is the only anime I've been able to watch without killing myself. It was short and very beautiful and I loved the pretty scene with the water at the end,
I've put on the first episode of like 20 different anime shows and could never get into it. It's just too complicated right out the bat. I very much prefer the "two seasons of comedy, then loreshit" trend Adventure Time started here in the US. I don't care about plot/lore if I haven't got to know the characters very well. It just seems like random fantasy nonsense half the time, and not in a charming way. There's another thread on here where somebody said they didn't "get" Aqua Teen, I feel the same way for anime. People love it so much, I just don't get it. But I love stupid shit like Aqua Teen. Any suggestions on what I should watch? Am I just watching the wrong stuff? I don't know.
>I've put on the first episode of like 20 different anime shows and could never get into it. It's just too complicated right out the bat
I have no idea wtf does that mean. I've rarely ever felt that an anime was too complicated unless you are talking about sci fi with heavy usage of techno babble. Do you want something SoL? Aria is pretty similar to the anime in the OP but it has more worldbuilding.
>trend Adventure Time started here in the US.
AT is the worst example of that but there are plenty of anime that are just episodic monster of the week and then they build up for a big baddie/big event in the last part. I don't know how you've missed them.

Fricking kek. At least use newer ones. Still western adult animation= mostly sitcoms unfortunately.
Sorry, meant to say
Loser pedophile gets teleported into a videogame where he has gacha powers because Asians can not comprehend not buying powers in a game but actually working towards it.
And they still frick prepubescent slave girls but this time it is ok because fantasy setting.

Thanks, Seven Seas

Invincible is American shonen animated in Korea
>animated in Korea
That's without saying.
He means North Korea.

How rude
Do comics/cartoons even have a seinen equivalent?
Euro comics
Nobody cares about them Eurogay
I like seinens
A lot of the old MTV animation like Liquid Television back in the day was basically aimed at college age men.
King of the Hill
Simpsons
Japs should spend all their time animating mid cartoons into making games instead.
Nah. I am not a big fan of video games(not to mention that I am sure the majority of them are mid as well).
Cute alpha!

Which others have you tried?
Yes. In the east "adult animations" is when japanese pedophile or squid monster has sex with prepubescent anime girl and calls it e-girlcon.
In the west adult animations means anything that is animated and rated for adults. Any white American brain can comprehend this.

Good. Learn how to generalize properly kid.

I honestly didn't watch these shows because they seem pretentious.
Pantheon is pretty cool.
Source on your image?
Adult in American cartoons means gratuitous violence and sex.
New Americans appended it with copious amount of Black folk and Trannies.
