the auto-connect for punches, without needing to aim them, for arkham games has ruined tons of vidya for me
The idea that batman can be built like a human fridge and still glide across concrete leaping, somersaulting and flipping on his merry way to beat the living shit out of 20 thugs without breaking a sweat has completely ruined any batman action scene for me.
Yeah I don't get why everyone keeps doing both the ninja angle and the human tank one at the same time, it doesn't work like that.
I understand why they did it in tha bamham games since they wanted to represent the whole essence of Batman but at this point he's just a mishmash of so many different ideas that he makes no sense at all.
i personally thought Arkham Knight was pretty crap
Yep, absolutely soulless, had to drop it
No, as the Arkham games aren't good.

I know this isn’t Cinemaphile or /wsr/, but I’m only now getting into video games and literally the only things I’ve played thusfar have been the Arkham games (and I’m not even done with them). What better games would you recommend?
For the record, I’m enjoying them, but they’re also basically the first video games I’ve played
Hmm, hard to throw you into the fray like that.
and
are solid recs with the exception of Insomniac Spider-Man, but if you ended up liking Bamham you may as well play it. Spider-Man 2 The Movie (console versions, PC is a different game) and Ultimate Spider-Man would be good starting points for a newbie I think, peak swinging mechanics even if the combat isn't stellar on open world. Web of Shadows was a little rushed and the swinging is a little poorer, but it tries to have a flashier combat system which flows just right for Spider-Man. X-Men Origins Wolverine is great too. If you like 2D beat em ups and keep an open mind, there's some cool licensed stuff on NES, SNES and Genesis.
The reason most people dislike Batman is that the magnetizing takes away from finer control and spatial awareness, and it looks terrible with the violent course correction on animations jerking you around with no regards for physics. The Insomniac Spidey games are even worse as they apply that aggressively to swinging too.
All of those games with the exception of marvel vs capcom are dogshit
>with the exception of marvel vs capcom
MvC is literal kusoge in every sense of the word
A broken game that's still fun to play despite it's bad design, that's kusoge
Anyone in their right minds thinks MVC infinite is blasphemous. You're not giving any truth bombs
Oh no, I remember your type coping about functions reigning over presentation as if that was the only problem with it.
We know. Get with the program, it's only gonna get worse with a digital only future rapidly approaching.
I played MVC infinite once, deleted it and got a refund
Yeah, okay, go rob the liquor store or something.
Actually, I didn't see Injustice there, those suck. And MvC Infinite is complete garbage too.
Most of those games aren't, buckle up matey.
Marvel had quite a few good games back in the day before the movies came around.
