I wish they could do something like how Hickman is doing. I want more unique spins on character thay aren't just them being younger and set in the current modern day. Give me shit like a Superman who arrives to earth as an adult instead of a baby. Or a Batman who never saw the death of his parents so is now a more light hearted version of Bruce similar to 50's and 60's Batman.
We've gotten over 3 (technically 4 if you want to count the Silver Age) hard reboots of DC characters that played it straight forward. If were going to get a new continunity I want to see something different.
There have been rumors floating around since last year of DC doing some Ultimate-like project with Scott Snyder involved. Then the solicits released today had a teaser for an event with the tagline "30 years in the making" which is when Zero Hour came out.
>Are the rumors of DC launching their own Ultimate line true? What should it be like if it is?
Wasn't this Earth One? Which was a complete shitshow outside of Green Lantern?
What the frick are they doing this for? Fix the main run first and hire people who aren’t untalented idiots first before trying anything new. I’m so fricking this company.
Good.
It should be good.

That sounds more like Elseworlds stories though.

it should have a batman that isn't a cucked jobber and less token filler characters.
but if the writers are the same who cares? they're all terrible.
What rumors and no, DC's continuity is a patchwork of shit that started 2 years ago, there's no nostalgia for it

Barda deserves better than that
>Zero Hour pt. 2
Oh boy, more hyper-time "our continuity doesn't make sense" bullshit.
>snyder apes hickman's avengers run
>then apes his ultimate universe
it's like pottery

I think Earth One was a bit like that, but it was way too slow and too much of a mess to really be what Marvel's Ultimate line was like.

>Fix the main run first
I don't think that is possible. They've been trying to fix it for 40 years.
>Can’t get one note heroes with simple premises right.
Wow what a stupid company.
It will probably be somewhat linked to whatever Gunn is doing with his movie universe as a way to try and jump on the new movie synergy.
Probably, Scott Snyder mentioned he wanted to do something like that back when 5G was planned
Everyone should be a gay, murderous abuser with big breasts.
>Ultimate Wonder Woman
To me the whole enjoyment of DC and what separates them from Marvel is their history. An Ultimate universe takes all that away. Don’t understand it.
