Are there movies with a similar vibe to Conan the Barbarian? Basically sword and sorcery but without the Gay (The Hobbit for example) and all about Grit and Atmosphere.

Northman
>Basically sword and sorcery but without the Gay
no such thing, YOU will look at semi naked men fighting ancient horrors and wont complain. Also watch Fire and Ice
I am looking through the wiki pages for them and they seem to be pretty based and kult. I am looking for the black metal equivalent of medieval/fantasy pretty much. Hope these are as good as they seem
only homosexuals (such as you) care for those details
>Northman
>Excalibur
>Robin of Sherwood (British tv series)
>Ladyhawke
not sword and sorcrery.
nothing approaches conan the barbarian, it's a c-movie subgenre. deathstalker 1 is actually amongst the best of the runners-up.
Beastmaster
Krull
Ladyhawk the story about a cursed knight and cursed princess? The one where he's a werewolf and she's a werehawk? How exactly isn't this "sword and sorcery"?
lol, he said without gay
Dragonslayer
Seconding these.
>without the Gay
>movie follows a half naked man
>men in historical or historical-inspired fantasy setting dressing in a way that shows some bare skin makes the movie gay
Are you hypersexualised zoomers or puritanical boomers?
if your dick gets hard for it, you're the gay.
Excalibur Is arguably the best one in the genre.
There's also one I watched once whose name I can't remember, at the end they fight some snake dude (not Conan), the protagonist was the stranded prince of a king who was killed. The sword and the sorcerer, I think. Nothing exceptional but can scratch the itch.
Excalibur is one of the most soulful movies ever made. It regularly makes me cry from how beautiful it is
Elaborate before I call you gay for expressing such strong emotions
It plumbs the unfathomable depths of my kshatriya soul
Pure kino
There were a lot of those sorts of films but most were not made as well as the first Conan film.
You could always watch stupid Conan the barbarian.
Honestly though the atmosphere and effects for this movie are on point.
>Two body-builders are sent to another world and have to put their meathead brains together to go back home
kino
Holy shit, it's an american 80s isekai?
boy is insanely cute shota hot
Robin of Sherwood (British tv series)
Well, Conan the Destroyer exists.
It's nowhere near as great as the original, but it's still the closest you'll get.
Conan the Destroyer
Red Sonja
Ladyhawke
Also you might enjoy Hercules The Legendary Journeys (has I think 5 movies or so before the tv series) and Xena: Warrior Princess.
>Ladyhawke
matthew broderick was so handsome hot
He was the worst part of an otherwise excellent fantasy film.
Fire and Ice (1993)
was about to post this - you are absolutely right
The definition of all style no substance
beastmaster is p dope and krull, red sonya etc
Jason and the argonauts
Such an amazing movie.
Patricians
true
For me, it's Hawk the Slayer
it's like watching Monty Python's Holy Grail, but without any punchlines
Deathstalker 1 and 2
Not really what you are looking for but I like valhalla rising
Flesh and Blood is the logical conclusion of the genre.
Zu: Warriors from the Magic Mountain (1983)
Boom!
There's the dungeons and dragons cartoon
Conquest
>Be 13
>Start watching Conan
>Damn, she's really cute
>Oh wait, that's a dude?
Forgot pic.
She is kind cute though
I've not actually watched it yet, but there's this
Excalibur. It doesn't follow arthurian myth perfectly (similar to how barbarian doesn't follow the old stories perfectly) but it is definetly an excellent movie
