yeah, there's a reason they're so popular, they're great
the only real issue is that after a couple of years the leather on top will start to crack and peel and its impossible to replace
>purchase an amplifier that comes with AKG K240 studio headphones >proceed to use them for music, movies, and gaming because of how good they sound
The only problem is that the chord is I don't think I can switch out the chord for a shorter one to use them outside.
idc what audiohomosexuals say, flat dynamic range is not enjoyable for anything except classical music and podcasts recorded with thousand dollar mics.
I think it's because nobody really bothers to mix audio for capable hardware. It's pretty much only good recordings of classical music, aphex twin/autechre whatever, field recordings that you will notice differences in. As for movies you're not likely to get much in the way of a "studio master recording" considering that as we were able to get better quality hard copies in the form of blurays, the popularity of streaming services recently means we'll probably won't be getting anything super good in quality for a long time... audio and visual.
any headphones can be good for movies if you learn how to EQ yourself.
But having said that, from my understanding these are pretty standard monitor headphones.
I have the headphones in the OP and they're nice but your ears do definitely feel them after an hour or two. You would notice and want a break by the 120 minute mark probably.
i had that model or a very similar one bout
best sound i ever heard
Yea I have a pair they work great

As long as you're sure there are no monsters in the house.

Well, shit. Apparently the cable is detachable.
What's the amp model?
Fender Mustang IV
K240s have a mini XLR connection on the left earpiece I think. You need to push the button to disconnect.
These are probably not that comfortable. You are supposed to watch movies on stereo speakers.
get the m40x instead or the Philips shp9500. Those cheap superlux 668b/669 sound better than that headphone
>no bluetooth
Based cable chad
Cool clock Achmed
>Grado

Do you not know how to equalize your audio output to get that "dynamic" sound you want?
Damn encourage the audiocucks to emerge from their hole on Cinemaphile.

use headphones sparingly, the emf is a concern
If you're poor iems will easily sound better than any headphone under $100.
ATH are good. M40X is beter, M50X is not.
the plastic cushions begin to split apart after a while
also the cord isn’t coiled so it’s a pain
Just get some Sennheiser HD25s
these little wires on the sides are a b***h, I had two of these headphones and both of them had a broken ear in a year or two
>are these good for movies?
depends. do u need an adapter to plug it into ur kinophone
Any big open back or semi-open headphones will be better than speakers for a lot of people. Speakers need the right room layout.
